I did the hammam with a massage after and left feeling very mixed about the experience. I had done a Hammam in Spain and was expecting the same relaxing and spa-like experience I had there. Not the same at all. I arrived and the spa itself looked just OK - really outdated and not particularly welcoming. There was a woman and a man who seemed like the owners, dressed in casual attire - not spa-like at all. They took me to a room which was kind of rundown and needed to be vacuumed badly to change. They had mismatched towels and wraps that had definitely seen better days and a few pairs of shower slippers in different colors. Also looking old and tired. A woman in a bathing suit (IN A BATHING SUIT!) took me to the Hammam and without really explaining the process dumped buckets of water on me. She scrubbed me and washed me and let me relax in the steam room (Hammam) but I felt like that area was questionable when it came to cleanliness also. But overall, the treatment was very good. My skin came out silky soft. I then was taken to a massage room, which was much better looking than the first room - neat and clean. The masseuse came in, and although I requested a woman, it was a man. I told him my request but there were no other masseuses, so I took him as the only choice. He was excellent and did a really good job identifying my shoulder as an area with issues and even gave me some exercises to do at home to help. The negatives, other than getting a man when I requested a woman, was that he asked if a masseuse in training could come watch his technique. I allowed it only because it was a woman. This could be a great experience but it was downright weird. I will not be going back. read more

I already tried to review this place but the words were limited. Got a coupon from Groupon for sugaring in bikini area and thought I would come out clean. The lady did not use any gloves (not sure if she washed her hands), also she left in the middle of the process and came back in a few minutes and didn't wash her hands. I had to lay down on the couch where I have no idea how many people were sweating. But the icing on the cake is that I came out with bushes and hairs in my pubic area as if I wasn't doing sugaring but balding! After this procedure I had terrible rash and while pimples all over my bikini area, it was terrible! Bad place, would never go back, no hygiene. F my life. Okay, so I'm gonna leave a very thorough review of my experience...skip to the bottom for the short version. So I scheduled a Brazilian, full leg, and underarm wax because I found a good discount instead of going to my usual spot. Pretty bad mistake. The lady up front told me to go into a room and get prepared for my wax. She stepped out for moment without giving me any directions and then walked right back in as I was UNDRESSING (lols like wtf?). I just awkwardly finished getting undressed while she was there and got ready for the wax. She literally made no conversation as she was waxing (which is strange to me) and it seemed like she just wanted to get it over with. She then steps out for a moment and leaves the door slightly cracked open (HELLO IM BASICALLY NAKED). Wow. I was just mind blown about the lack of care and privacy. It was just such an unpleasant and unusual experience. Overall, I'm pretty traumatized. My armpits also burn like hell right now...idk what she did but it hurts to even touch them. The only reason why I give this place two stars is because the price can't be beat for sure (but at the cost of many other things). I bought the recent Groupon for a Mani/Pedi, massage and facial for $125 even after reading the previous reviews. I was in town for a couple of days so figured why not, and I knew not to expect a super luxury experience. The 'Spa' is in actually on top if a hairdressers, so you walk in to an average looking hair salon and then head upstairs where you find three treatment rooms off of a narrow hallway, the pedicure chairs are actually in the hallway. It's definitely not dirty but it does look old, worn down and extremely cluttered. It's not a relaxing environment. My first treatment was the Mani/pedi. The manicurist was a lovely Honduran lady named Carla who allowed me to practice my espanol on her. The treatment included paraffin on my hands (I did not get burned) and then your standard manicure and pedicure. The only thing I can really complain about is the paint job, it looks more home done than professional and she managed to paint over my cuticles so I had to scrape that off in the shower. You know how sometimes you leave a nail salon in awe of how they paint them so much better than you? This is not that experience but a few days later they are still looking good. My next treatment was a massage with a lady named Diana, it was hard to get comfortable at first as I was worried about messing up my newly painted nails. I'll tell you now, this is the primary reason for the 2 stars, with a decent massage they may have gotten four. Honestly, I find it hard to believe that Diana is even professionally trained as I do not believe she touched a single muscle during the massage. It was a series of jerky motions where she would throw her hands down and squeeze, repeatedly all over my body. No actual tissue or muscle work. She would also continually adjust the sheet in an abrupt pull, it was all really strange. She also wasted a lot of time with a head massage which was less massage and more her rubbing and ruining my hair. I wanted to tell her to just stop as I was so uncomfortable, but how do you tell someone that they're awful at their job? Next up was my facial with Nadia and after that massage I was scared. Nadia went straight to work with no preliminary questions about my skincare routine or any issues I have. I think this also speaks to the salons professionalism in general as I've never been to a Spa that doesn't ask you these things. Anyway, Nadia was actually very good, she didn't say much of anything, but she did do some good extractions and used the microdermabrasion thingy. She also gave a 5-10 minute neck and shoulder massage with hot stones which was amazing and better than an entire hour with Diana. Overall I'm very pleased with the facial and my skin looks great. The staff at Bella Luna were friendly and attentive, but slightly lacking in professionalism and skill. If you're using your Groupon know what you're expecting and if you can ask who's doing your treatments please heed my advice above! read more

I also went here because of the Groupon I purchased. Boy, this place was THE WORST! I made my appt for 4:30, showed up at 4:20 and was told to sit down in an empty hair salon. There were 2 men eating and talking as I sat there for 20 mins. When I finally asked one of the men about my appt he said it would be 10 mins. By now, I'm already turned off. Then a woman comes down the stairs and brings more plates of food down and she proceeds to eat and talk with them. After another 5 mins (now the time is 4:45) she walks over to me still chewing her food and asks me to follow her and she will do my mani/pedi. Uh..ok... I go upstairs to pick a color of polish...which was about 25 of the same shades of pink and red...and she sits me down in the corner. Then she brings over SCALDING paraffin wax that I am "supposed to do" as I'm told. She then walked away and left me there with my hands in burning hot bags of gooey wax. I ended up pulling my hands out of the bag and just sitting there. At this point...I'm pissed! So, 10 mins later some other woman comes over and says she will be doing my nails now.(Guess I pissed off the first woman) The new girl was skiddish, shy, and didn't seem to know what she was doing. As I sit there waiting for my pedicure water to fill, apparently her last client wasn't happy because her nails weren't drying. Turns out, my new manicurist, put the wrong polish on this woman's nails or something. It was obviously an issue because another employee started repremanding my new manicurist in front of everyone. I felt kinda bad for her...but it was just an awkward experience. It wasn't the worst mani/pedi I've ever had but definitely nothing I would recommend. I should preface this review by telling you I never review places, but I was so disturbed my experience, I want to save other people from enduring what I did. As soon as I walked in, I was put off. The place was old and smelled bad. Please heed me advice and don't go, it is not worth it. Had I done proper research and read their reviews before I purchased, I never would have. I purchased a package that included a massage, facial and mani/pedi. When I walked into the massage room, the older male masseuse told me to get undressed and get under the sheet. After he left, I noticed the sheet was completely sheer, it would not cover anything. I had to go into the hall and ask for an additional sheet so that I would be covered. The table also smelled like stale perfume. The masseuse was extremely inappropriate when the massage came to my lower body. I have not had many massages in my life, but I do not recall them every spending so much time working on my glutes. I bought a deal for Hammam Luna not BELLA LUNA... but when my bf and I arrived, we were directed to Bella Luna. Editing after at least a dozen visits. I'd give 2 1/2 stars. Unfortunately the service has never been consistently one time you're scrubbed thoroughly and the other time not so much. You may sometimes have shampoo sit in your hair for 10 minutes as if it's a mask. I'm taking about drug store brand shampoos with sulfates and who know what else. Rarely will you receive an adequate massage. Honestly I wish they would just skip that part because they are not therapists at all and have no idea what they're doing. Why have I kept going? Because the first time was excellent so I continue to have high expectations. And also, 9 times out of 10 they scrub you very well. The 10th time.. either not vigorously enough or you're left with scratches all over your body from the scrub. Finally, scheduling can be a nightmare. You can get your appointment cancelled at the last minute the day of, and barely any compensation for it... $10 off the next time (for a $140 treatment and as a regular customer, that's an insult when you cancel on me multiple times). Short review: This was the best spa experience I have had in DC. No exaggeration required. I have an autoimmune disease and I left feeling better than I had in 5 years. Everything from the jasmine leaf tea served in Moroccan glassware, to the massage chair waiting area, to the heated tile and wonderful (non-judgy) staff is designed to make you feel pampered. The hammam experience was just like in Rabat except not painful! The room was steamed, Carla was amazing, and they wash your hair! Shut the front door! All in all, I want to live there and only conduct my business from within a cocoon of massages and tea. Long review: Somewhere in Pawnee, Donna from "Parks and Rec" is yelling TREAT YO SELF. They started by serving me this jasmine loose tea in beautiful gold leafed glassware while I reclined on a massage chair. That was just the waiting room. I should've known that I would end up staying for about 4 hours. Nadia did my facial and she was glorious! The woman smells amazing and has a super delicate touch. All the facial staples were there but they also did microdermabrasion which is usually extra in other spas. She was also just so fun and sweet! While lying there I decided never to leave and said hey, lets do a wax too. She took all of 4 minutes and I felt nothing. I don't know if it was the tea or, more likely the amazingness that is Nadia, but I felt nothing. She also listened to me wax poetic about how much I love my grandma and I kinda want Nadia to come to dinner to my house now and meet her. From there I was supposed to go into my massage but I asked to add on the Moroccan bath scrub hammam experience. They are in the process of building a huge hammam so this was their temporary room but it was gorgeous. All marble and tile. I couldn't see half of it though because of the aromatherapy steam that enveloped the room. Carla (I WANT TO ADOPT HER AND/OR MARRY HER) was incredibly thorough, amazing, and frankly I fell asleep a few times because I was so relaxed despite being scrubbed voraciously with a natural fiber glove. All I know is that by the time she washed my hair (!!!!) I was wondering if I could buy stock in Hammam Luna. I then went to Jason for my massage. You may be wondering what that's like, if you like many other girls are like no to a male masseuse. HOWEVER, Jason is the Korean father/grandfather figure you always wanted to give you a massage but just didn't know it. He did lymphatic drainage as well as reflexology and several other techniques and I left weighing 4.9 pounds less in water weight (I weighed myself). I felt completely relaxed and detoxed. Furthermore, the man makes no sound. If massage doesn't work out for him he could totally be a silent footed ninja assassin. I left and called everyone I knew and told them never to buy me anything again other than gift cards to Hammam Luna. In short, come here. Yeah, this is not a spa. My husband bought a groupon massage and pedi. I always read reviews, but he doesn't. Here's a breakdown: Pros: The massages were good The staff was friendly Cons: It was very hot on the first floor, so I was sweating while waiting for my massage The first floor is the salon, so blow dryers contribute to the heat The decor was outdated and a little shabby The stairs (carpeted) had noticeable debris- needed a good vacuuming The massage room was freezing cold- I couldn't relax while shivering but the temp was fine with my husband Pedicure- same person who did my massage (strange) did my pedi and she PAINTED MY CUTICLES- WTF?? That's not professional. I mean, at least learn how to do a pedi before offering the service. I wouldn't go back- although the massage was fine, the temperature issues, poor quality pedi, and bad/outdated decor were too much of a negative. If you're going to do something, do it well, or don't do it at all. That said, I was in and out for my mani/pedi in under one hour. Typical of the nail palace down the street, for which I pay $35. There was no paraffin, although reading the other reviewers comments, that's probably a good thing ;-) The manicurist was very sweet, it's the management of the place. It was quite obvious to me that the owner, who sat at the top of the stairs talking on his phone while I sat in the hall having my "spa" experience, directed the worker to speed it up. I purchased a Groupon for a couple massage and pedicure. I made a reservation about a month in advance since many people might be trying to book their appointments as well. The person that I spoke with over the phone was polite even though I told him that I had a Groupon. A day before my appointment, someone called and confirmed the reservation. My husband and I enjoyed the service that we received here. The massage was nice. The room was comfortable. My husband told me that his masseuse removed the knot in his shoulder blade which had been bugging him for a while. I enjoyed my massage as well. I told him about the pain in my neck and shoulder and he spent a lot of time massaging that area. I felt a lot better than when I first walked in. The pedicure was enjoyable although my husband was very ticklish when the technician scrubbed his feet. We were telling the technician about his fish pedicure experience in Cambodia and how he was laughing the whole time he had his feet in the tank. Although this place is not what you would expect of a typical spa, we really enjoyed our experience here. All of the staff that we encountered are very friendly and kept offering us tea and water. My husband even reminisced about his time in Istanbul, Turkey with one of the staff who is from Turkey. On a side note, Yelp filter fails miserably for this business. Because of this, they are being rated lower that what they should be. When I looked through the filtered reviews, their rating is more aligned with other review sites like Google. I got the GroupOn special of mani/pedi, facial, and 1 hour massage. My manicure has started to chip (one day later), and I got a "lazy" massage...you know, when the massage therapist spends 15 min doing real massage on your back, arms, and legs, and spends the rest of the time SEATED massaging your feet or hour head with barely any pressure at all. The facial was the worse. It lasted all of 30 minutes. I have no idea what she did, but she used some kind of suction machine that left my skin so raw and abraded that the products she applied afterwards actually stung. Now, again 1 day later, my skin is worse off and so dry I have a leather face. It was so disappointing since I devoted 3 hours to the treatments. My girlfriend got me and her a couples massage off of Groupons website. After finding out the name I looked it up and found yelps reviews of it. Got me scared to say the lease. VERY VERY glade I didn't "HEED" peoples warnings. We walk in and the first floor is a hair salon, not that big of a deal. We where helped right away and only had to wait about ten minutes for our massage. We walk up stairs and although the hall way is not a wide one its also not cramped like people have said. Anyways who cares I'm not getting my message in the hall way so get over it. We walk in and the room is very relaxing, We get in and get ready for our massage. Our Massage Therapist did a very good job. Both me and my girlfriend have lower back problems. Not only where they able to help with that but where able to pinpoint areas that had been bothering me the most without even me telling them. They know what they are doing. Over all it was a wonderful time and I do plan on going back. The short story is that this place is reminiscent of a spa in a different country trying its hardest to be modern and fancy. The reality is that it is FAR from a luxury experience. The long story and my personal experience is below: The space itself is awkward and poorly set up - it was an office or retail space of sorts in its previous life which is painfully obvious. The music kept cutting out and the rooms are small, dank, and the equipment is ancient. The whole check in process is set up terribly. I went in and eventually found my way to the spa counter (across the way is a low budget looking nail and hair salon which has the same name so it's easy to confuse) after which a terribly disinterested employee checked me in while a gaggle of message therapists hung around chatting in all sorts of languages two feet away in the dark corridor. I was then told to go sit down and not even a split second after I did, I was told to rise back up to go into my room by one of the gabbing ladies. The message therapist asked me if I'd like a certain type of approach - lighter or deeper, and if I had any areas of focus. I gave her my feed back which then she quickly disregarded. I asked for a deeper message and felt like I was being petted the entire time. She also proceeded to message my face and scalp with oil so I looked like a greased dirty mess at the end of the whole thing. So much for doing my hair and makeup that morning... Now the best part of the experience was the end; (as background for understanding, I got this visit through a Groupon gift for my birthday so I wasn't sure of the tipping etiquette especially given the fact that I had NO idea how much the full cost of the visit was) After I dressed, and tried my hardest not to slip out of my shoes since I was greased up better than a Christmas turkey, I approached the complacent girl at the front desk again and asked if I was all set to which she looks at me like I was completely dumb and says "Well did you lave her anything?!" I told her I'm not sure how much would be appropriate since I don't know the cost and then what I assume to be the proprietor (and maybe the girl's uncle or dad) got involved, noticing her rudeness and lack of professionalism toward me, and told me "Whatever I would like to give." This was my first time at Bella Luna Massage. My masseuse was named Barry, and let me tell you, he was good. Took his time asking where I felt the most tension, before he got to work on me. Once he had all the information he needed, he did quite a number on me. All I remember is one minute I was conscious, and the next minute, I was passed out in pure relaxation, falling into a deep sleep. My 1 hour session ended, and I had to literally be punched awake. That is how relaxed I was. I was told I snored, rather loudly :D. I don't remember being at all tired, but the way he worked all my tension points, it literally knocked me out. Got this massage through a Specialicious deal, so it was cheap at half-price. Overall, the pricing of a massage would be middle of the pack without a coupon/deal, but if Barry is still there, and you can book a session with him, I would highly recommend it. read more

I went there with a Groupon for a "For 45 minutes, hands undergoing a manicure bask in citrus glow exfoliation, crystal activator, hot towels, and melted paraffin. The 60-minute pedicure includes callus treatment and dermal mask to make skin smooth . I got nothing like what they advertised. I think i could have done a better job at home with the manicure, It was just awful. Do not buy the Groupon! and do not go to that place. You will just waste your money. My nail tech was nice but only has been working there a month. She did the best she could under the circumstances. The place was not that clean either. I did not consider it a top-end experience. We finally found someone sitting in the back to come help us, and he sent us to Bella Luna very rudely. Once again we had to wait on an employee to show up. Once she did we were given no information and were made to wait 30 minutes passed our scheduled appointment to begin our massages. The groupon states it is an aromatherapy couples massage. There was no aroma and I began my massage while my husband was once again forced to wait for someone to show up for him. Worst massages of all time. The woman spent the last 30 minutes pulling my husbands hair with one hand and TEXTING in the other. The shades were opened multiple times, phones were being used constantly, and there was no sense of professionalism anywhere. I went for a couple's massage for HAMAM LUNA NOT BELLA LUNA with a deal from groupon. However, the receptionist (who was very amicable and one of the few positive aspects of the experience) in the front informed us that they were the same business. Unfortunately at the time I was unaware that BELLA LUNA has 2 stars for yelp while HAMAM LUNA somehow has 4 stars on yelp. This itself is absolutely misleading and unacceptable. The interior is not very clean and the design is cluttered. The worst part, however, was the massage. I can forgive the sketchy vibe of the place if the massage was good enough but it certainly was not. I had the lady with blonde hair as my masseuse. - The lady kept stopping many times to look at her cellphone. Often massaging half-heartedly with just one hand and altogether stopping many times. Her phone also kept vibrating. This left me feeling uncomfortable and showed that she was clearly unprofessional. - The massage was uneven (she would do the left side longer than the right and the movements were inconsistent). - After massaging my legs and feet she went straightaway to massaging my face... at least wipe your hands if you will not wash them. - She asked if there was an area I would like her to focus on, I told her neck and shoulders, and I am not kidding when I say she barely touched my neck and shoulders.... - THIS IS THE WORST PART: during the 60 min massage that I paid good money for, the lady was basically playing with my hair for 30 minutes of it. She wasn't even massaging my head. She was simply picking up handfuls of hair from the roots and then pulling them in an outward motion..... excuse me, I did not dish out $115 ($95 massage+ $20 tip out of the goodness of my heart) for the "massage therapist" to PLAY WITH MY HAIR. utterly unacceptable. horrible. DO NOT waste your hard earned money here. If you must come here, request NOT to have the blonde hair masseuse. I also had the groupon for the facial/massage/mani-pedi. While I would hardly call this place a 'spa', it is a little run down, but appeared to be clean. If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. The people I dealt with were pleasant enough, the services rendered were mediocre at best. It wasn't great and it wasn't terrible. My facial wasn't much more than putting stuff on my face and wiping stuff off my face for 45 minutes. My massage was given to me by a man (I'm female; no one asked if I was ok with that). My massage was basically this guy rubbing my back for 45 minutes. Pedicure is done in a chair that sits in a hallway, nail station is right next to that. This is by far the WORST Groupon I have ever purchased and I have purchased many. This is the only one that I will have to write to Groupon and complain about. I would give this place zero stars. I have been trying to get an appointment for the mani/pedi since May. I was finally able to book my appointment a week in advance. I was totally shocked to see the day spa. I contemplated walking out at that point, but I waited too long, drove too far and out of my way to turn around. The nail salon is in a hallway! There are two salon chairs stationed in a hallway! This is no day spa! This isn't even a nail salon. The nail technician had a customer in one chair, so they sat me down on the other chair. A man came over & said he was going to do my pedi. He filled up the foot bath with cold water. I later found out they are broken and they only use cold water. He was removing my nail polish, but looked very nervous & inexperienced doing so. I asked him if he had done this before & he said that day was his first day. I think he saw the horrified look on my face and he said he was just going to get me ready for my pedi. The nail technician and this man were switching back and forth between the other customer and me. Everything was very rushed and sloppy. My toe nails were cut uneven. I could've done a better job. They have little bowls with marbles in them filled with cooking oil. The bowls are sitting in the window next to the chairs. The oil looked dirty & old. I questioned her about it so she said she was going to dump it out and add new oil. Then she dipped my hands in paraffin and cleaned them off with wet towels. The towels also appeared dirty and she said that they were running out of towels because the towel service didn't arrive until the following day. I was never told to wash my hands, so when they applied the nail polish I had lint and junk on my nails from the paraffin and towels. The whole experience was sloppy, rushed and performed by, what I believe to be, inexperienced people. I told her that I find it very hard to believe that anyone would pay the full amount for this service. She told me that the regular price is over $90 & they can charge that because the place is located in McLean where there are plenty of people willing to pay that. read more

I have never written a negative review, but my experience was so below par that I wanted to make sure others didn't waste their money at this spa. I would give this place zero stars if Yelp allowed it. I booked a weekday appointment at 11AM for a much needed 1 hour Swedish massage, and I arrived 15 minutes early. The receptionist advised me to take a seat and then offered me tea or coffee -- not bad so far, except that the hair salon part was dirty and there was visible dust/dirt on the floor and equipment. the After about 15 minutes, another customer arrived 1 hour late for her 10AM appointment. Rather than re-booking her, they whisked her straight upstairs to begin her treatments. At 1120, I patiently asked how much longer the wait would be since I had an 11AM appointment. A brusque gentleman huffed and took me upstairs and asked me to pick out a color. When I explained that I was there for a massage and not a manicure/pedicure, he told me to go back downstairs and wait again. At 1145 -- A FULL HOUR AFTER I ARRIVED -- I asked again how much longer the wait would be. Again, they took me upstairs. There was no waiting area or chairs to sit on....I had to stand and wait while they rushed around to find someone to do my massage. Finally, I flagged someone down at NOON and said I couldn't wait any longer. I stated that I wanted my Groupon back, but they couldn't find the print out and stated that "I was already charged for being there so I couldn't come back another time." The masseuse finally appeared and rushed me through possibly the WORST massage I've ever had. Her technique was lacking and I had to stop her at times to tell her to slow down and complete the massage evenly (she would rub my neck vigorously on 1 side and then rub my lower back on the other side)...it was uneven and NOT relaxing. At no point did they apologize for my lengthy wait or offer to give me any sort of additional service to compensate me for my time. AVOID THIS SPA! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY HERE!!!!! read more

We took appointment for Hammam( Moroccan bath), the spa room where they scrub and products which they use such as soap , scrubber are very unhygienic , we highly doubt they sanitized their products and they also leave the conditioner in hair don't even bother to rinse them off. Scrub leaves rash on skin. This spa goes with two different names one with Hammam Luna and other one is Bella Luna spa. Please don't get confuse with both as they both are same. The website picture of Hammam Luna are not real , when we asked recipient that your website display beautiful picture, where are those rooms located she replied " google picked those pictures for them " and the space does not even resembles even 1% of it. I have been there i multiple times as a massage customer with Neda as my therapist, and can assure you that they do a great job. I get a sport massage which focuses on flexibility to alleviate back pain that I get from playing golf and working out. Part of getting a quality massage that you will be pleased with is communicating effectively about your needs and pain. Don't just lay there and hope for the best or expect one massage to fix all your problems. One of the great things about this place is that the owners are there and very willing to accommodate your needs. read more

I got a Groupon for a Brazilian wax. It wasn't pleasant at all, she went so fast so she wasn't through. She went against the grain, so I have a lot of in grown hairs now. Might as well shaved if I wanted the results I have. I'm pissed as shit! You don't understand the anxiety I feel when I look and feel around down there. It's gonna take forever for it to all go away. Total disappoint with their service. I only recommend if you want to scare your lover with all the razor bumps and in growns. Lucky for me my boyfriend understands so he doesn't make me feel bad about it but it still sucks. read more

This is without a doubt the worst "spa" I have ever been to in my life. It was not even a spa it was a dirty run-down hair salon at best. I felt immediately unwelcome as soon as I walked in. My boyfriend purchased the couples massage on groupon. We sat in dirty chairs while no one told us what to do or when our appointment which we showed up early for would be happening. After 20 minutes of waiting, having been given no indication of if we would be receiving our massages anytime soon we just left. They did not apologize or try to do anything. I have to agree with the other reviewers. Would not call this place a "spa". The room where I received my massage was too bright (had a window in it), too loud (very noisy AC unit and at one point the music went off and listened to the clock ticking for about 10 minutes before the masseuse restarted the music) and too cold. The massage itself was mediocre. As some other reviewers mentioned, my masseuse was an obvious smoker. After the massage, she left the room without saying a word to me! Imagine my surprise when, after my massage, my masseuse followed me into the nail area to do my pedicure! Now I'm wondering whether these people are even licensed. The nail area is set up in such a way that I could not sit next to my mom, who was there receiving services with me. Again, my pedicure was mediocre. The masseuse/pedicurist had to rush off to do another massage. Gross! My mother, meanwhile, sat in her pedicure chair for about twenty minutes with no attention because the pedicurist who started her pedicure left midway into it to do another person's facial. Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway), we were very disappointed with this place. If I had paid full price for these services (I also had the Groupon deal) I would be very upset. As it is, I will not be going back, with or without a "deal". I wish I had read others' reviews first. read more

Gross. I did the mani pedi groupon. I didn't read the reviews. I should have. After the paraffin treatment, they put gloves on and when they took it off, i realized the gloves were covered in pube-ish looking hair because the paraffin was covered in them. Not worth the cost of the groupon. Gross!!! They didn't do anything with my feet but paint them. I was ready for another pedi immediately following the "pedicure". The place looked and is dirty. I decided to try Bella Luna/ Hamam Luna after a lot of research, since it was so close to me, I had to give it the benefit of doubt despite all the reviews. The conclusion- It was not worth it AT ALL! The place is very overpriced, and the infrastructure is very very bad- old rugged gowns to change to, old machinery, the esthetician does not wear a mask- that also gave me some other hygiene issues.. They do have a basic knowledge of skincare and treatments but they just do not give you the service you deserve for that price. I would never go back, and neither will I recommend anyone else to. read more

I also went to this salon on a groupon. I was expecting the 60-minute pedicure that they advertised, but instead it was 30 minutes. The parafin wax dip for my hands was done in a plastic bag. They swished my hands in the plastic bag and then let them sit there. My friend received gloves to put on top, but I did not. Everything was very unsanitary. The nail clippers and all other equipment they used wasn't even sitting in liquid to clean it. The liquid in the container was below the level where all of the clippers, etc were sitting. I have a friend who also used a groupon here and she had the same experience. The nail polish was old, so it was streaky on my fingers. When I asked the lady to fix my thumb nail b/c it was streaky, she tried to paint over top of the top coat. When I asked her to take it off and do it again, she seemed annoyed. this place shouldn't be described as a spa, but just a general salon. there's nothing relaxing here. it's actually a stressful atmosphere. i got a mani-pedi here, and the quality wasn't even good. some of the staff was nice, and some were not as nice. they did ask a lot if i wanted something to drink , which was nice. i wont return here again,and am only posting a review so someone else doesn't waste their money here. i think getting a mani-pedi should be a special treat and i definitely did not feel special after getting it here. p.s. i paid full price for my treatment, so this is not a groupon customer. read more

This place is completely unprofessional; steer clear. They rescheduled my friend's and mine manicure and pedicure FOUR times in the span of a day and then, when we showed up at the time they designated (first thing in the morning on a Saturday!) they kept us waiting over 30 minutes because their technicians had not shown up. They did not apologize, offer us water or empathize. Horrible. We walked out. Go to Janet's Nails across the street instead. read more
