It was relocated from Blue Point and restored by Fontana Concrete, and is a roadside attraction famous for its promises of fortune and wealth: Local folklore has it that the Sphinx's nose was shot off in the thirties by a poverty-stricken vandal in defiance of it's prophecies, geared toward horny, money-hungry women. Today, there is sign posted in effort to deter impulsive or haphazard climbing, but the mesmerizing Sphinx continues to draw-in lower & middle class ladies with big dreams to climb on up. Here is what I experienced: Poorly lit showroom with a creepy vibe. Wires hanging out of the ceiling. Torn rugs in the showroom that smell like they are soaked in urine. Sounds like a nice place right ? How is this place opened for business? And how does anyone in their right mind last more than 60 seconds in this store before running outside for fresh air because the smell of urine is SO strong. Not sure how the 2 employees can work there all day without wearing masks. I was there for under a minute and felt nauseous from the smell. Take my advice and stay far away from this store. Or enter at your own risk but be sure to wear your Hazmat suit !!!

This company has cost me $1200 in parts thus far to repair my Jotul Oslo 500 stove. They came out…read moreto clean the chimney and check the stove. The totally inept repairman tore down the stove, ripped out the catalytic converter and sucked up bolts in his vacuum. Then left. $125 (gave me a $50 discount). When I cleaned the stove the next morning, I discovered the parts had just been set into the stove. So, I need a new converter ($700), refractory parts (300) and a service call from a place that knows what they are doing, $129 an hour. Meantime, I've had no use of the stove for a month and it is the depth of winter. Despite having a good supply of firewood, I am forced to use electric heaters and home heating oil, at a cost of $500 a month. The company does not respond to any inquiries. They were 8 hours late getting to the appointment. I wish they had never showed up at all. This has been a horrible, expensive winter thanks to Shamrock. One of the worst experiences I've had with a contractor.
