Since the funeral was just on December 10, 2024 we went with using Christmas colors. The spray was simple and elegant with pine needles ,spruce,etc, White mums, holly sprigs and Red roses arranged throughout. I was in town for my grandmother's funeral and we needed to pick up some flowers for the wake. This was a last minute errand. After stopping at another shop that seemed befuddled at an on the spot floral request, we found this shop. They were just as nice as could be and made us up an arrangement while we waited. The corsage itself for the prom was petite and pretty although it was missing the navy trim we were promised. We were satisfied with it. The packaging was embarrassing though. The corsage flopped around loosely in the clear plastic box. There was no tinsel or tissue paper to keep it stable and to make it look presentable like all of the other corsages presented at the prom pictures get together had from other florists. In fact, there were two stem clippings carelessly left in the corsage container that we had to take out. Also, the sticker with the name of the florist was stuck on at an angle completely off center. A person who puts a sticker on a paid gallon of milk would have done a neater job with the label. We will not return. read more

Unfortunately, my friends and I were very dissapointed with the arrangement we trusted this florist with. We called to order a $100 arrangement for one of our oldest and dearest friend's father's wake & funeral, and when we saw it, it was surprisingly sad and looked thrown together. 5 red roses, a purple mum a loads of filler flowers and greens. When I called her today to voice our dissapointment her response was also surprising and unacceptable, so, although I hate to give anyone a bad review or be so certain I'll never use an establishment again, I can honestly say, I will find another florist next time I need a beautiful arrangement. I was looking for an arrangement for Thanksgiving and had seen the "sad state of arrangements" at the local Stop and Shops and Big Y and decided to try a florist and ask if they could make me a centerpiece arrangement that wasn't too expensive, but better than the supermarkets were asking in price and quality. Mary was the absolute best! From the very first meeting to when she arrived and brought me my flowers on my wedding day she was so kind and made the stress of wedding planning easy! I gave her ideas and pictures of what I wanted and my flowers came out better than I had shown her. She made sure to educate me on the flowers and give me suggestions and options. Can't say enough good things about Mary and her floral shop Bella Flora! I went in with a tight budget and Mary helped me every bit of the way to work around my budget and present the most beautiful bouquets, center pieces, and gazebo decor! She even made my flower girl a floral headpiece! The corsages and the grooms boutonnière were creates to perfection. She delivered the bouquets my house and I was in awe. I can easily say that I was a huge pain in the you know what (but I was a NICE pain!) - I was extremely particular about my wedding flowers. I changed them several times, but I never doubted that they would be absolutely stunning. When the day arrived and Mary brought the flowers, I nearly lost it they were so beautiful. They exceeded my expectations and I was thrilled. From the ceremony arrangements, the centerpieces, the bouquets, and even the boutonnières - perfect! Unfortunately, despite positive reviews, the sympathy arrangement we ordered was VERY disappointing. We paid $175! For a "spray" And it was small, lacked substance, no ribbon or ferns and was not worth the price. We worked with the folks describing what we wanted, explained this was for a family member and it was important to us to create an arrangement that expressed our condolences. Mostly what was aggravating was the price with the arrangement being so small. I rarely post but felt this was important as we don't often see the floral arrangements that are sent and must trust the reviews. read more

They were so wonderful in getting us flowers when we thought we'd be able to just find some white roses and hydrangeas no problem. My mom is very crafty and wanted to make my bridal bouquet herself and we thought no problem...but definitely there was a problem. Bella Flora is possible the worst establishment I have ever been to in my life. The person who helped was short and snippy with me the entire time I was ordering my corsage for my prom. After finally picking one that matched my dates dress perfectly we placed out order. On the day of pick up we followed the exact direction given to us by the owner. As I went to where my date and I were taking pictures, as soon as I placed the corsage on her wrist the flowers began to fall off!! Within five minutes there was only one flower left!! Thank god her mother had a hot glue gun and was able to salvage the arrangement. On top of that, the flowers from my boutonnière began to fall off as well! After prom was over both of my parents made calls to the store speaking of our displeasure with their arrangement and my parents and to haggle to get half of our money back! We offered and said that since I am going to senior prom as well that we will give them another chance for that one if they gave us a refund. Instead we receive disrespect and the comment of, "Oh and I hope you don't plan on coming in this week for your partial refund, I am for too busy". I recently attended a wake and funeral of a very close family member at Brooklawn Funeral Home in Rocky Hill, CT. Because we live in Massachusetts and not familiar with the area, we asked a family member that lives in Connecticut for a suggestion on where to order flowers. They suggested Bella Flora because that is who the funeral director suggested to them. When we arrived at the wake and saw the flower arrangement we were totally embarrassed! It was a vase with a few pines, 2 or 3 carnations and maybe 3 or 4 Peruvian lilies with the most horrible purple ribbon! My spouse and I were so upset with it that we called the florist to complain and the sales associate that answered the phone told me that she would call the owner and have him call me back. He never called... I called back the next day he never apologized for not returning my call but said he personally picked out the flowers and he thought they looked good. Well to me that is not acceptable! There was no apology, he never offered to send another arrangement to the family, a credit or refund. Come to find out he not only owns the florist but he owns the funeral home as well!! When we asked our relative why none of the flower arrangements were not at the burial site he was told by the florist/undertaker that he was giving them to an old age home... yah right, back to the florist for another sucker to get! Shame on him for taking advantage of a family in mourning! He is a DIRTBAG! DO NOT PURCHASE FLOWERS FROM THIS PLACE! read more

When searching for a florist for my wedding I was getting what i thought were absurd price quotes. Exasperated, I decided to call a local florist that someone had recommended to me a while back. I called up (got Mary on the phone) and explained what i needed and what my budget was and asked is this possible?, and she replied, "anything is possible"! We had a meeting an hour later and I booked her for my wedding. Mary runs the business. She is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and was especially helpful since I don't know flowers at all. I showed her pictures of what I liked and she gave me economical choices to complete the look. I trusted her opinions. When my wedding day came my flowers were absolutely stunning. I got so many compliments. She did the bridesmaids bouquets and my centerpieces.
