I chose her as my flower vendor for my wedding based upon a recommendation from my venue, Pond House Cafe (she does the floral arrangements for the Cafe, which is one of the reasons we chose to have our reception there - they are beautiful!) I was very open minded and gave Sandy a lot of runway to create whatever she thought was best based on my vision and budget, and she did an amazing job. On top of being super talented and professional, Sandy is just the sweetest person and cared deeply about making my wedding day extra special. Sandy did a great job on my mother-in-law's birthday bouquet. I ordered from LA, and my mother-in-law lives in West Hartford. She loved the bouquet and the tulips were a great touch. I asked that the flowers be bright and a representation of Spring. Sandy did that, I will be using her services in the future. read more

We ordered (from Colorado) a sympathy bouquet for our friend who just lost her father. Hours after I placed the order I get an email saying they canceled the order because they were out of the flowers. When I called to make other arrangements the woman told me it was because they were "too busy"...If I hadn't checked my email I never would've known they had dumped the order. I worked with A Special Place for years at a wedding venue so I had witnessed her amazing work firsthand on many occasions. When it came time for my own wedding I had big expectations and two full days of wedding flowers since our ceremony and reception were on different days and in different locations. Sandy is outstanding. Not only did she get my two (very different) concepts but everything was more beautiful than I could have ever hoped. When the flowers were delivered everyone in the room's mouths dropped to the floor. Following the wedding I had my flowers made into coasters, a serving tray, a ring holder, and a framed display so I could keep admiring them! I found these extremely talented people a few years ago and it's been one fantastic piece of flower "art" after another. Excellent creative, artistic design with my daughters wedding flowers and arch. Sandy was so kind and easy to talk with. She listened to all of my daughters visions of non traditional flowers and arches and truly shared her excitement of creating something new and different. She spends time coordinating and ordering the perfect flowers to match linens, rooms, season etc. Her attention to detail, creativity in flowers and vases etc is amazing!
