Very friendly and obliging staff, nice, simple food. Not amazing but never disappoints when we can't think of anywhere else to go!

Nice Italian restaurant on a side street, great alternative when you had enough meat and potatoes…read moreall week. The pasta here is very good cooked with fresh ingredients. The antipasto is very tasty and highly recommended. The frutta di mare dish was alittle disappointing it lacked flavor and the prawns and mussels were small, considering it was the highest cost item on the menu they can use larger ingredients. We had a group of 12 and the place was not that busy during dinner, we asked the waitress if the chef can come out and see us so we could complement some of his dishes and she comes back saying we can stop by the kitchen on our way out! Really! We probably spent the most money that evening. Sounds like the owner chef needs some training in restaurant hospitality and the waitress lost an opportunity for a 20% tip. This is what happens when tips are not part of their compensation in Ireland. Anyway good food for sure.

Because it's one of the best darned Italian meals you can find in Ireland! The food is freshly made and it's unbelievable! Also, the waitress was an absolute doll. She was so wonderful, pleasant, and gave great recommendations! 5/5 stars without a doubt!

While in Killarney, which turned out to be one of our favorite stops while in Ireland, we wanted to…read morehit a true local restaurant and Cronins was just the spot! Cronins sits on a Main Street through Killarney and feels like old world Ireland from the road to the table. It has a storied past in Killarney, being open over 60 years at this point. The space is as you would expect, cozy, local and welcoming. The menu is rooted in local ingredients including seafood, beef and veggies. We popped in for an early dinner and had an appetizer of the Smoked Irish Salmon, which was fresher than expected. Such a simple dish, but it was executed perfectly. For our mains, we had a burger and the Shepard's Pie. Burger was good. It was juicy, well cooked and the onion relish thing they had going on was *chefs kiss*. The Shepard's Pie was spot on. Both were made with local beef, which was cool and extra tasty! Beyond the food, Cronins also has their own cider, which was phenomenal and oddly enough, the only cider I had the whole time I was in Ireland! That speaks more to the hold Guinness had on me and less to the variety of cider. After the cider, we went with a few house cocktails including the Clover Club and Dingle Donkey. Both were well prepared, vibrant and tasty! Service was uniquely local, friendly and fun! From the bartender to our server, they were both excellent! Overall, Cronins is a stellar spot in a great spot in Killarney! When we get back over the pond and to Killarney, Cronins is on the list to swing by again!

We start with a brie appetizer, which was so delicious. The brown bread with butter and a tomato paste was also quite good. I had the salmon with a side of mashed potatoes and vegetables. It was cooked to perfection! Service was excellence.
