There are so many good things that I could write about ITP, but if I were to sum it up; it all…read morecomes down to the incredible people that work there. Between Ms. Emma working the schedule, all the amazing flight instructors that prioritize learning, and the owner, Sherman, making sure all operations run smoothly and safely, you will be taken care of if you choose to fly with this flight school. I honestly cannot write enough praise to express how grateful I am that I was able to fly here. To give some context to my experience, I approached the team at ITP with a challenge to help me finish my private pilot license within a month. I had previous flight experience and had already accomplished my first solo, however, it had been a few years since then. I needed all the applicable training to get back to where I could solo, get all the required cross country time, and the proper aeronautical experience to finally have a checkride. After hearing this, Sherman and Emma booked time slots for the rest of the month and set me up with my CFI, Steffen. Although the weather took out a full week's worth of training, I was able to check during the month timeframe and, most importantly, I got my license accomplished UNDER BUDGET! This is the best flight school that I have ever flown with and if you choose to fly with ITP you will not be disappointed!

The Perfect Way to See Dallas from 1,500 Feet Low & Slow…read more My Friends and I wanted to do something different, so we thought getting in a Cessna and seeing Dallas at night would be cool. AND IT WAS! The three of us travel a lot for our jobs and fly in and out of DFW so this would be a bit different perspective. We arrived at Addison Airport and were greeted by our pilot Alex. Alex did a great job showing us the preflight and all that goes into getting a Cessna ready. Alex did a great job showing us around the aircraft during the pre-flight and explaining why an airplane is not like a car and you cannot just turn the key. I sat in the back, because I fly Cessna's I wanted to let my friend who had never been in a small plane sit at the controls. I am going to go off on a tangent here; the rich got it made with the whole flying private! Okay back to my review! We were buckled in and started taxing around 8pm. So it was going to be a night flight for sure. Right after take-off, we were flying over Dallas Love Airport. It was cool to see a Southwest 737 landing right under you. We flew over to Jerry World and Rangers Park; it was a perfect day to fly! Visibility was great. As we were flying over to Arlington we could see all the aircraft flying into and out of DFW. We then turned towards downtown Dallas. To see the skyline up close and all light up is amazing! My photos do not do the actual experience justice. As we worked our way back to Addison we flew over The Star in Frisco and Plano. So think about this real quick the next time you are stuck in DFW traffic; we flew from Addison to Arlington and back with time to do some circles around Frisco in under an hour. Try that that in your car! After we touched down we thanked our pilot for a great tour. We went home and reviewed our photos from a great time! So here is why I would recommend Starlight Tours. 1. If you have never flown in a small Cessna before this would be a great reason for you to. 2. Perfect way to show DFW to family and get some cool points. 3. If it is just amazing to see DFW from the air. 4. Try to do your flight on a clear day during sunset. I'm sure that would be amazing! Our night flight was cool, but sunset would be awesome! So there you go! Because I am a pilot, I will end by saying if you have a kid that is interested in flying. This would be a perfect way to show them what flying is all about.

He really knows what he's doing and he makes it easy to learn and understand what you're doing and why. He isn't scary or uptight like some of the instructors I've flown with at other schools. They have a nice little setup with multiple planes, both high wing (Cessna) and low wing (Cherokee). The office is a little small, but I'm told their main office is being renovated. The classroom actually has a nice feel to it though because your up close with your instructor and you can really grasp the materials/ask questions if needed. I love flying here, can't wait for all this weather to be gone so I can go up again!

Great on-line scheduling system makes it very easy to get on the calendar at YOUR convenience. Chip and his team are tops in this market. Plus, they've added an on-site mechanic who can now attend to your plane's every need. Can't say enough about these guys. All the instructors are tops. Josh is great - very patient with rusty pilots, but also keeps you to task so that you can achieve your goals. Try them out if you're thinking about getting your license or just looking to gain some IFR instruction or getting your CFI or CFII, ATP or whatever. Believe they also do tail-dragger training as well.

Seriously one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen -- it gave me chills. The whole experience felt magical, and I couldn't stop smiling. We had the BEST time and honestly, I'd do it again and again without hesitation. Thank you guys for making such a special memory for us -- you're amazing at what you do!

As we were in the air, we could hear the pilot explain specific locations. We could also hear people from the towers talking, pretty neat and cool. I am so happy and excited for this experience. Life is all about the memories we leave. If you ever have the chance to fly, try it. Don't worry about anything just enjoy the beautiful views of Dallas, TX . Thank you Denise and crew
