If you're looking for a gift or something for your home, you can find it here! There is truly a great collection of all kinds of things, from seasonal items to bird houses to quirky gifts - just about anything you may have wanted (and my have not needed lol). Jen, one of the employees, is a true delight! See her for great customer service! Prices are reasonable as well, so there is something for everyone's budget. GO!

Great shop they sell Christmas trees and by appointment you can get a Santa pic. The Santa is outstanding. Really great guy doing what he can to make it a magical experience for the little ones. Note that pictures are an extra charge from entrance prices. Still a pretty place with a great Santa free hot cocoa and cookies. Fun.

This was another worthwhile stop off of route 1 for a gift shop/random assortment type store.

Not only is this stuff prison made, it's beautiful. Exquisite cutting boards (which I find so ironic), and wooden bowls that belong in West Elm, and that's just a taste! They also carry Prison Blues, jeans made by inmates in Oregon. The guys that were working there were very knowledgeable and friendly and allowed me plenty of time to browse. I bought a birdhouse that looks like the old Maine State Prison ($15) and a few wooden switch-plate covers ($4). Oh, and a macrame bracelet (made by guards - the inmates taught them how). Definitely drive out of your way to visit! When I am in Maine, I will be back!
