My review is based solely from competing in the PPA Foot Solutions Pickleball Tournament. This was an amazing experience... 42 courts makes this the biggest pickleball facility I've visited so far. Each court is fenced off with a shaded bench area between each court. This makes it safe to bring in bags without interfering with play. The fences are spaced perfectly to the courts so you never feel cramped when chasing down pickleballs. The showcase stadium court is covered which makes for a comfortable experience when I was watching the pros play. There isn't a bad seat in the house. I was fortunate to play on Court #3 which was one of the surrounding showcase courts. That was a great experience The concession stand attendants were all friendly and attentive on the 3 days I visited. The selection of wines, beers and seltzers was great, they had something for everyone. The bathrooms were spacious and had plenty of urinals. The water fountain was setup to refill my sports bottle throughout the day. This facility had everything you could possibly ask for in a pickleball complex. The tournament was extremely organized and all the volunteers and referees were amazing. I'll definitely be back to compete at this venue. Enjoy!

The word 'massive' doesn't do it justice. Still under construction, and has a lot of bugs to work out. $250 Million gets you 35+ soccer fields, 20+ basketball courts, 40+ pickleball courts and don't forget about baseball & softball... Pros & Cons make this review 'down the middle'... so really a 2.5. The large field houses are capable of accommodating volleyball tournaments and basketball tournaments and today I witness a first, indoor soccer. Martin Luther King weekend tournament had over 150 volleyball teams participate over the course of three days and to be honest, the facility just wasn't staffed, organized or capable of dealing with the volume of people. That's when the Cons kick in... CELLULAR SIGNAL.... NONE, Parking STINKS, rules and guidelines are inconsistent. One major knock is the signal as most of the major phone companies have horrible reception so hopefully, they put in some towers in the near future to help with that. Will they, doubtful, everyone will probably have to register through a portal to use their wifi and the Single day QR Codes to purchase let you know how they are about to 'get that $$$' moving forward!! Parking is free but do plan ahead. Doesn't matter if you're coming off the 202 or heading north on Ellsworth... it could take you 20-30 mins in traffic to park. This place has the potential to be a lot better and hopefully, over the coming months it will be. Not sure how the summer will look but they'll figure it out I'm sure. Granted it's clear that it's early stages of being released and lots of work still needs to be done but after walking the property today it's clear that they are making this the epicenter for sports here in Arizona.

    Basketball courts, very nice

This place is an amazing sports complex but they are still going through their growing pains, I think. I love the basketball courts, very nice, the leagues and tournaments are well organized. However, I never get overly excited about going there because of the traffic to get in, parking. It is always so congested that whenever I think I have to go in, I am always like "oh no, I have to go that place, ugh" but when I am there I do enjoy the facilities. Hopefully they will get that figured out. I also don't like all of the fees, I find those pricey and probably makes sport less accessible to those less fortunate. This is actually something I have noticed in many sports facilities however, so not just their problem. Otherwise, it is nice to have such complex in AZ. Hopefully it will improve logistics and fees.

This place was amazing! So many different events being held here. We were using the soccer fields. They were really nice. This location has a lot of bathrooms. They were all pretty clean the three days we were there. They have restaurants and other food items available. I saw an arcade too! They have a ton of parking but it was a hassle to get out one of three days we were there. The days where they have a ton of events, they probably should have people directing traffic. Other than that this facility was great.

Ok this place is new so I'm guessing things will improve over time. There are areas still under construction with materials and equipment stored off to the side. There is still a lot of dirt road only access to some areas like the large grass area, which is where I attended the Strong Beer festival. There is very spotty weak cell service. None of my party had great data service which made it very hard to get an uber. Not ideal for a beer festival. Plus it's just far af. I won't attend the festival again if it's out here. Just seems like a bad idea. ------------ I also attended a baseball tournament here. The first thing to know is these fields are all TURF. No grass. So be sure to bring the right cleats, molded cleats or turf shoes. Not sure if the covers for metal cleats are allowed. There is a COVER CHARGE depending on the event you attend. You can buy at the entrance or before hand on tixr. Each field has an electronic scoreboard with the Main field having a mini-Jumbotron. There are covered bleachers, but some are positioned poorly though they can be moved so hopefully they will do that at some point. Plenty of room for your chairs and tents if necessary. There are a few scattered picnic tables though again placed in random weird spots. Could be better. For food and drinks there are food trucks, but the variety is very small. Burgers and hot dogs. No vegetarian or vegan options like it says in the website. They likely rotate depending on how big the event is, but that's a guess. There was an alcohol truck with a variety of beers, seltzers and other beverages. Overall an ok place. Will update after the tournament with how the kids liked or disliked playing on the turf. ------------ Update: so for actual baseball players be ready for the ball to fall dead and flat on the turf. Balls are slowed down drastically in general. The ball will not roll or jump randomly. Also while sliding is smooth, you may not get as far as you anticipate. We had a few players stop short of bases and get out.

LOVE the softball fields here. I play on the Thursday night league. My dog loves coming to softball with me and has become our team mascot. They had great porta potties but must've recently switched them out. HEADS UP - The new ones are TERRIBLE. if you're playing downwind on a field near them you get a crazy disgusting whiff of the waste. Hopefully they'll switch back. Aside from that if you're walking in to the fields the bathrooms are great.

No towels in bathroom to dry hands.

-Long lines of cars in and out -Fee to park, but you can't connect phone inside to pay because there is NO wifi and no one has cell service inside (basketball and volleyball courts) -bathrooms not kept stocked (no towels, stalls closed, hard to find hand soap as so many are empty) -too many activities here at once so parking is hard to find -too expensive to bring rest of family to cheer at the game. Just a normal day waiting to get into the parking lot only to park a mile away and hike over to our destination yayyy

I REALLY wanted to love this place due to all the programs it has to offer and the facility itself is amazing. However, it's almost impossible to get into the park and find parking and be able to get to anything on time here! This place has SO MUCH to offer and it does hosts SO MUCH all at once as well. Never had a weekend where there was no event happening whether it's a game, cheer competition, etc. always a reason for a major traffic delay. Plan to invest about an extra 25-35 minutes to crawl into the parking area, find parking and hike to your intended destination/building. I hate being late to anything so this really irks me. Multiple times I've had to get dropped off with my daughter for her dance class and my husband goes about finding parking. Of course he eventually gets to join us 15 mins into the class - definitely NOT ideal if we can't come together and would have to find parking prior to class start time. What they really need is maybe 2 more entrances and a few parking structures to be able to handle the amount of traffic they're bringing in with these weekly events/competitions throughout the park. To get to the drop off area on a single lane takes about 10-15 minutes with people not knowing where to go/stopping to ask questions with the parking staff.

It was about the perfect amount of activity for us as we got to try each of the activities once. There's about 8 active games including a batting game, tennis game, QB throw, field goal kick, boxing, skiing, soccer and more. Most of the games have a scoreboard that will display your score and have the top scores of the all time, weekly and daily. It's fun to see your name up on the scoreboard even when your score may be pretty brutal compared to the all-time greats. The staff was very helpful in checking us in and letting us know how each game works. There's a few games that are pretty simple and others that require some setting up (like getting boots and strapped in for the skiing. I enjoyed the QB throw the most but it looked like the bouncy basketball court was the most popular while we were there. We went on the Friday night and it wasn't very crowded...only have to wait maybe 5 minutes for any activity to open up. The place was pretty clean except I did notice they didn't spray down to clean the batting helmets after each person...that was kind of gross to put on the helmet and feel some sogginess. This may be a fun place for holding a birthday party for kids as they have ice cream, cereal and party rooms overlooking the area. For me it's probably a one and done visit, but we need more places like this where kids and families and have some good indoor activities besides bounce parks.

We arrived fairly early for the ceremony, and were able to grab some solid seats in the shade. There are several concession stands and other food options surrounding the seating, and we found the prices to be pretty typical compared to other sporting venues. The concession stands were mostly well stocked ... with the exception of soft pretzels, which ran out before the ceremony began, and we were told to go check another stand after waiting in a 20 minute line. No thanks, we don't need a pretzel that badly! Entering the stadium was no problem, as there was a steady flow of folks filing in without any major slow-downs. Took awhile to get thru once we passed the security check-in and were filtering down a few levels to get to the floor. Of course there were a ton of people and we were packed like sardines but the flow was smooth and people were patient. Once we got to our seats, we got situated and Leon Thomas was already midway as the opening act. There was a slight mixup as one chair, the "30th" seat was missing on our row and we ended up moving down one seat to our left as the group with the seating issue kept trying to figure it out. Some numbers were missing on our seats but mine was visible and we could verify where we were seated. Luckily, our seat neighbors were nice people and accommodating since there seemed to be an extra seat that was empty. When we first arrived, there were some people who sat near our seats that weren't supposed to be there but you know there's always one of those so they moved. It was fun and festive. The woman in front of us with her daughter was recording the whole time as well as the lone guy next to my cousin who was doing the same and singing to EVERY SONG, LOL!! Thankfully we never had to use the bathroom as we went during dinner right before the concert. There were Porta-Pottys on the floor level inside as your bathroom. Also, you couldn't take an actual canned drink inside. Attendants had you put them in a cup unless they weren't paying attention and you had your drink in your see-thru backpack like the guy in front of me walking in. Speaking of, you need to look at bag dimensions and restrictions prior to going to the events. I looked ahead of time and brought a clear, plastic purse within the allowed guidelines/dimensions. Acoustics were great, there was never a glitch, 2 large screens on the left and right of the stage were great for folks seated far away and were a great visual for close ups even for us. Security was effective and checkpoints at the entrances went smoothly. It was a bit crazy getting out of the stadium but we got out. Getting out of the parking lot was another story. It was a long, log-jam and some vehicles were impatient and nearly hitting other vehicles just to get in the line to get out! I think the parking guides and traffic monitors could've done better in an orderly and streamlined fashion. In any case, we had fun and luckily people inside were nice and courteous. This was my 2nd concert at this stadium and am well-pleased with the ambiance. It was just the parking lot situation that needs to be more efficient. Hopefully they worked it out the next evening since Bruno played 2 nights here.
