They have many events, barrel racing, bronc riding, and bull riding to name a few. It's an official ProRodeo a part of the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association on the Turquoise Circuit, 20 rodeos on this circuit in the Southwest that you can go to with this just being one of them. I recommend going Friday or Saturday evening and purchasing your tickets early. I waited and bought my tickets two days in advance and only Sunday during the day was available. Also, come very early before the show starts because parking was full 5 minutes before the show began. :/ You can buy general admission or VIP packages on their website (Cavecreekrodeo.com). We were expecting bbq but that was only for VIP packages. We ended up having ice cream from a local Cave Creek ice cream shop having a stand. The other food was typical state fair food. Also, for restrooms they only have porta potties with santizer, no soap and water pumps. :( FYI No one is permitted to bring in large bags (large purses), or weapons.

I think every elementary/middle/high school was participating as a band, walking through, or riding on a wagon. I like that there were participants of all different backgrounds there. It seemed like there were more people in the parade than those actually watching the parade. The surrounding streets had beer gardens, rides, and vendors selling food and merchandise. Concerts were happening on Scottsdale Ave. after the parade ended. The Native American festival was happening in the park across the other side by City Hall, so lots to see and do! Free admission was also available at the Museum of the West this weekend.

Held annually at the Arizona State Fairgrounds, there were several food vendors and many more selling t-shirts, cowboy hats, equipment, etc. Inside one of the exhibit halls was a silent auction with many handcrafted items. The other buildings housed many different types and breeds of livestock. It was interesting to watch the adults and their kids clean, groom, and feed the animals. Often we were able to watch them go from stall to show in a short period of time. This was our second year attending the show and we cannot wait until next year.

This is the largest rodeo in the Phoenix rural area. It was sold out on Saturday night and almost…read moresold out Friday night too. Sunday was pretty full but not packed. Then of course you have the live music and dancing at the end of the night. It's always a good time here. We brought the RV and hooked up so we could party all night and be close enough to turn in when we wanted. They have a restroom and bath house just in case yours is occupied or broken. And there's plenty of food and shopping centers just around the corner if you need it.

There are a lot of collectible and toy stores, including a Mini so. If you know somebody who loves anime and Funko pops, you'll definitely find a gift here. There is an Ulta here, but it is a very small kind of weird Alta. The perfume section is very small. This would not be my first choice to go to Ulta. The food court has some good choices with a Sarko Japan, Wetzel's Pretzels, and Sbarro, but we noticed some of the food places are gone, too, like Charlie's Steakery. I didn't notice whether the carousel was running while we were there. This is a relatively small mall and we were able to walk from one end to the other on bottom and top floors. If you like sporting goods, the Dick's sporting goods outlet is here. Macy's has closed, sadly, but they're still at Dillard's and JCPenney here. It has some of the standard mall stores like Hot Topic, Bath & Body Works, Torrid, Buckle, and Charlotte Russe. The line for Santa was quite long. There were children dressed up and families with matching pajamas. I was glad to see Santa getting so much business, especially because the photos are so expensive. It was a little sad, though, because even though it's the weekend before christmas, there was absolutely no Christmas music to make you feel the holiday spirit, or the shopping spirit. I couldn't help but feel a little sad because malls are a part of my growing up. Now it seems as though most malls are on their way out, and superstition is definitely among them. I hope it's around for a long while yet, but I'm guessing it's years or limited.

i wanted to give this event 1 star but the novelty forced me up to 2 stars…read more ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!!! the event organizer got people (me) to pay to run 1 minute in front of scared rodeo cows. a complete loss of 25 bucks. and to make it even more painful, not even a t-shirt! why? because they ran out of t-shirts. that means every runner at the 2pm and after would get a crappy red bandanna...worlds most expensive bandanna! and they ran out of safety pins to pin the numbers. there's a cvs right up the street ya'll. complete debacle of any organization. they didn't check ID's or vouchers. most people just sort of walked right in and many did the run without even paying (they were bragging about it). but why would they pay, when nobody really checked anything! lets go a step further..."no drinking in the corral"...sure, but get wasted before and proceed to harass the cowboys and the bulls during the run. we even saw two of the cowboys almost come to blows...they were yelling and swinging their lasso's at each other like they were about to start a fight with each other. ugh, what a shame. this could've been such a cool event. i loved the costumes and the band playing (although after the run, most people left until the next start time).
