Located in the Cool Springs Mall, this Belk is your standard Belk location that features multiple floors and wide open, and packed sales floors. I have recently discovered a few brands that Belk carries exclusively that keeps me coming back. The mall used to have a separate Men's Belk store, but they have recently combined all sections in one location, and now the Men's section is located on the second floor of the main store. Product is never an issue and prices are great, however service is hit and miss. Overall, I do not frequent malls, but when I do...it is normally to scoop a polo up from Belk! read more

I live in the Midwest where we do not have Belk so whenever I come to the South I enjoy stopping here. On Friday, your website showed that the item I wanted for Mother's Day was available in-store. I drove 14 miles based on that information, only to spend over an hour walking both floors of your store and asking multiple sales associates--none of whom were able to help me locate it. I was finally advised to place an online order for in-store pickup, which I did under the promise it would be ready in 20 minutes. After waiting over an hour, I gave up and left. Now, days later, I receive a vague cancellation notice with no explanation--yet the same item is still being offered online, and I can see that 14 orders were just fulfilled for it. This is completely unacceptable. After the inconvenience and wasted time, I expect Belk to take responsibility and ship the item to my home immediately at no additional cost. After walking the entire mall trying to find a stupid suit jacket I ended up at the belk Mens store which is for some reason stuck off at another location other than the main belk location which makes no sense. I found what I needed for the most part but they just didn't have the variety I would expect. After finding what I needed I proceeded to walk around the whole store looking for ANYONE to check me out. There was literally only one worker in the whole store and he was helping some folks that's apparently couldn't try on clothes without him standing by them. I ran into another customer and she had asked if I was able to find anyone working in the store so it wasn't just me. Ultimately I decided to give the store 3 stars because I did find a suit jacket at a fair price. read more

Terrible return policy!! I worked in retail for years and have never experienced such a horrible policy. And the lady I asked for assistance was really rude. If you have your receipt, the tags are on the merchandise AND it is in its original bag untouched it should be returnable within a certain window of time. I would have even settled for store credit but I was told no. I will NEVER shop there again even if they are giving their crap away. Shops anywhere else. read more

Prices don't match what is marked. After waiting in line 20 minutes, Don't want it bad enough to wait around. I said, "it is on the rack marked 50% off." It only took me three minutes to realize why I stopped shopping at Belk Cool Springs. Between the signs denoting one price and the item scanning significantly higher to the customer service. It all needs to be improved. I have visited this store multiple times and walked around aimlessly for almost thirty minutes looking for help. Belk Cool Springs needs to hire help. read more

I would not even give his store 1 star. A lady at the register said she was going to take a while and sent us to another register with no cashier. We waited and no one arrived. Went back to her register she was finishing. Told her no one was there. We went back to her register and she refused to help us and the manager checked us out. I feel this was completely due to me being white and husband Hispanic. She definitely was racist. So sad. read more

Really nice, super clean, well maintained and organized department store. Great selection of higher to high end designer clothing and accessories. Belk has a huge selection of Southern designers and brands like William Rast and Southern Proper which differentiates itself from Macy's and the like. My issue was there was literally one, just one, employee visible to the entire store, which was relatively busy. I walked past 6 unattended cash registers in the store before finding someone(the only one) to pay. It was insane. The people in line with me noticed the same thing. (Yah, there was a line when there shouldnt have been). This is a huge problem that left us all annoyed, and in the world of failing department stores and struggling malls this seems to be a simple fix to help keep people coming back. I'd come back, sure, but not sure everyone would want to deal with that inconvenience and hopefully management sees this review. read more

This Belk location always looks pristine. I've been impressed by the cleanliness every time I have entered this store. Great prices. I was disappointed in the selection. I was only able to find two shirts for my daughter. I feel like their big girls department has an immature style. It did take a while for the sales lady to find us but she was friendly and greeted us even though she seemed like she had had a long day. read more

I was already in Franklin, checking out the town, so I decided to stop at the mall. Now, I have been to so many Belks in so many cities/states but out of all of those, only one employee (in my current city) has ever even said hello. So I kind of stopped loving Belk. Until this store. This was the best Belk I have ever been in. Not only did an employee approach me with a smile and a greeting, but so did 12 more. Everywhere I went, they were all friendly and helpful. I could go so far as to say this was the best retail experience I have had in many years. Not only was it the friendliest but it was also very clean and at no point did I see groups of employees just standing around gossiping. First shopping experience with Belk in Murfreesboro. No one in luggage department to help. No prices on luggage. Finally found a scanner. Found what I needed in wrong color. Came home to order on line. Asked me if I wanted 20% off this order? I clicked the button and filled out info. Went back to checkout and did not see the 20% discount. Called customer service. She didn't know how to help. She said I had to wait 10 days and place another order to get the 20% I asked for a supervisor and she said she couldn't transfer me and hung up. Wow! read more

There's an informative reason for this review. There have been several failing department stores taken over by Belk lately. I believe there are new ones in Murfreesboro and Nashville. I used to go to Belk when I lived in Georgia, and I was never very impressed. It always seemed just like a JC Penney. However, this Belk took over Parisian, and I am happy to say they kept all the good things like the MAC counter, the designer shoes, including Kate Spade shoes and handbags, the Nine West and French Connection clothes, designer jeans and much more good stuff. This is probably the best department store in Nashville (this particular location of it anyway) and I'm glad Belk had the good sense not to change anything. read more

I hate shopping for clothes, but I have to do it every decade whether I like it or not. I got a new job, and all of my dress shirts apparently had shrunk while hanging in my closet. Belk made it pretty easy. They have a bunch of men's sections clumped together, so I could just wander through, grabbing anything that looked good. But you have to check the price tags. A lot of shirts seemed ridiculously expensive, but some of them were on sale, and some were reasonably priced to begin with. A friendly employee named Tommy came to help me at exactly the right time. And he got me to sign up for a Belk's charge card, which saved me 20 percent more. So I ended up with four Oxford shirts for $70, tax included. That's a lot better deal than I expected for some pretty nice shirts. read more

Have loved the merchandise I have bought previously! I recently bought a comforter on sale as a Christmas present - it was pictured in a pale blue with pineapples. Perfect! When it arrived - it was a cobalt blue. Very dark. Did not match the room. The charge to send it back was $35.00 based on the size. Ridiculous!! Do not order anything from Belk online! Ordered two things they cancelled one with no explanation and the other they created a UPS label but didn't get it to the shipper for two weeks. Talked to customer service which was a waste of time they said they could not help! Asked to speak with a supervisor and was told none are available. They took my information and told me someone would call me back which didn't happen! Emailed complaint and have gotten NO response. Cutting up the Belk Card and won't be shopping there any more. Doesn't anyone take pride in the appearance of their stores anymore? This location was recently remodeled but the carpet is already dirty and needs to be cleaned. I visited a department on the second floor and decided to try on a blouse. As I approached the counter to ask the cashier if she needed to unlock a dressing room for me and she said "I don't know, I think you can just go in." ??? She works in that department and doesn't know??? There were PILES of clothing on the counter, clothing piled on the round couch that only one person could sit while waiting for someone in the dressing room. The racks and floor leading into the dressing room were jammed with clothing. Every empty dressing room I passed again had clothing on the rods and on the floor. Nothing to sit on if you wanted to remove your shoes. Needless to say I decided I didn't need the blouse I was going to try on. All of this happened before 10:30am so I can only assume this mess was left over from Friday rather than having had a mad rush in this department. While I like the different styles of clothing available at Belks, I'll do my shopping at Dillard's from now on where the departments and dressing rooms are clean and organized. read more

This was my very first time being to belk! The store is huge ! It's amazing ! The clothes are beautiful! The sales were awesome! Our sales associate Maggie was outstanding! She welcomed me when I said it was my first time. She helped me find certain things and took all the clothes I had and put in a dressing room for me while I still shopped. She actually picked out a dress for me I ended up loving it and bought it. I have never met a sales associate as helpful and patient as she was. When we went to the check out she was just so kind and patient ! I just want to say thank you to Maggie for making my first time so memorable and I can not wait to return read more

Had an appointment with MAC at this department store and I was on time, but my make up never got started. Finally, she was able to start, but not after too long, she left again for about 30 minutes to help a woman pick out lip colors. My makeup never got finished as I live 30 minutes away and had photos that had to be taken for my senior year. They still made me pay for my eyelashes which were $18, which was all she was able to get done on my face after an hour and probably 20 minutes. The manager took no responsibility for this stating they only have one employee Monday-Thursday, but did not make me aware of that when booking me.
