This is a small family business, we had a private tour of the cacao orchard (in Spanish) detailing the entire chocolate-making process, with hands on participation and delicious learning opportunities. They toasted some cacao nibs for us to samples, along with some of their chocolates and cacao marmalade (if we were flying home in a couple of days I would have stocked up on this!!). Then we relaxed in their cozy outdoor cafe as the sun dipped down behind the flamboyan trees, drinking milkshakes and eating Bon bons, swinging in the hammocks sprinkled around the cafe. This is located in the lobby of the Condado Palm Hotel. There are 2 entrances. Don't make the same mistake we did by trying to access at street level. That door is locked. You'll need to enter through the hotel lobby. The service is very slow here. There was only one other person there. We ordered a box of 6 chocolates and payed for it. I'm guessing he was making a drink for the other guest because he asked us to wait a few minutes. It ended up being longer so he told his colleague (who just came back from a break) to make up the chocolate box for us. Unfortunately, it took even longer as this other guy was more interested in the 2 young girls who just walked in. The chocolate bonbons were good, but nothing unique. It's the same artisan chocolates that you see everywhere for the same high price. Perhaps this location is better for their specialty cocktails in the evening time.
