Very clean and organized. Best we've seen on St. John & St. Thomas. Very close to a mainland grocery store on contents. Prices are in line with other island grocery stores. We definitely will go here most trips. Subs are very good, but slow. She was measuring the oil & vinegar with the jar cap to ensure just the right amount. That was a first. read more

beware! The prices here are much more expensive than back in the United States. If you come to St. Thomas for vacation, I highly recommend that you come with reef safe sunscreen already. Otherwise you'll have to spend $30 on a 6 ounce spray bottle of Sun Bum. I did get some groceries here, and 6 gallons of water to last a week read more

Supermarket with island prices and plenty of food supplies that you'd need. They also have a bakery section and a deli with a good fruit selection. read more

Security dude...you need a raise and kudos for helping the customers! I had spinal surgery and couldn't take stairs up to inside liquor store and the elevator is broken. He asked a worker to go for me and I appreciated him walking all the way from the front to the back of the store to help. The store and staff are super friendly! Be prepared to spend 2-3 times in money normally what u pay in US states. Bring your own bags and cooler insulated bags. There is a cute coffee shop right across parking lot...check them out. read more

Great produce department Good customer service Excellent wine section with nice layout read more

Place is great. They have a bit of everything. Prices were no where near what I expected. It was actually really reasonable. Easy ability to get a taxi right outside. Produce was good, meats looked good. Lots of drink options. read more

Decent place to stop for some grocery while visiting Red Hook. Our resort has a kitchen in our room, so we thought we would pick up some ingredients for a quick meal. They have a lot of local beers and snacks as well as lots of meat, fish, and poultry. The prices are alright and can be comparable to Whole Foods. It's very convenient that they take Apple Pay! One of the few places I have seen in St. Thomas that has it. BE WARNED. Fruit flies! Lots of them all over the fruit section. There's swarms of them. Be careful and stay away. There were bugs on our mushrooms even though they were plastic wrapped! read more

Everything we needed from a grocery. Prices were very typical of the island but selection was great.

Very expensive and the parking lot is scary ! I saw some produce that had gone bad as well read more

Moe's Fresh Market RedHook - Grocery Near Me - Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands

See all

Food, selection and service were excellent! Moe's fresh market has all that you need and their sub sandwiches are the Best!

Expensive but convenient and quality grocer in red hook. Parking is sparse. Fruit was fresh.

Good amount of things for an island grocery store. Lots of different locations, some bigger than others.

Our first time shopping at Moe's. Well! The products here are wide and varied, giving us more choices than some of the other grocers here on St. Thomas. And, since we know island prices, most, if not all, items were competitively priced. The meat counter was absolutely mouth-drool inviting. Vegetables were fresh and, again, Moe's had a better variety. The ambiance was clean and comfortable. We felt welcomed here. We will easily be back to shop here. read more

Felt like a local... Nice variety of foods and good wine section! Stocked up for the week and cooked a lot ourselves. read more

Quality and great customer service are always something I look for when visiting an establishment, Moe's has topped both categories. We were all shopping for groceries to take back to the Airbnb. They had great selection and the fish and meat was soooooo fresh. Now the price is the only thing I didn't like. I get it had to be costly because everything is imported, but sheesh. Salmon was $30/pound!!!!!! Had to pass on that. We settled on chicken thighs and rice to make Pelau. They also had some clam chowder soup and it was amazing. Can not wait to go back. read more

Moe's Fresh Market RedHook - Grocery Near Me - Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands

My husband was sick in bed of his stomach, Moe's Fresh Market Red Hook Store Manager delivered us Peptbismol and saved our day, possibly our vacation! He didn't want to accept the tip I offered! What an outstanding service! Support the local business! read more

Moe's may be tiny but it's become one of my favorite places to grocery shop on St. Thomas. It's fully operational after the hurricanes and as I've said in previous reviews customer service is hard to come by on this island. Every customer that walks into this joint receive a "Welcome to Moe's" greeting in unison by the cashiers. The cashiers and employees will also happily talk to you during transactions or give you help unlike other places. They are still running the same yummy salad bar with all of their fresh goodies as well as their cold to go items. The wine selection here is to die for. Their entire 2nd floor is dedicated to wines & liquor and for sure you'll find what you are looking for. To get up there you'll have to use a scary glass capsule like lift. It's slow and shaky, I think they should give wine samples on the first floor or liquor shots before you enter it! Over all the prices are higher across the board but they do have the freshest produce, best variety of grocery products, especially an awesome deli and Asian food section as well as good customer service. The same owners that operate Plaza Extra in Tutu operate Moe's so I think this is their higher end grocery store. It makes sense, they seem to cater to the Yacht crowd that comes in via Red Hook. The only drawback is that the parking situation can get tight. But since there are no tourists around it's not a problem right now. Check out Moe's if you're on the east end of St. Thomas for your grocery needs. #St.Thomas #USVI read more

Moe's Fresh Market RedHook - If you can't find it at another grocery stores on St. Thomas you will find it here! - Grocery Near Me - Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands

Get your groceries if you are on this side. Cases of water, eggs, bacon, cream, milk or whatever you need they have it. It is worth it. At first we were like these prices are high. Upon further review lol it's some of the best money spent and saved. Well worth it. After an excursion we made a pit stop and picked up bottled water and all. Clean and courteous read more

Visiting St. Thomas, and staying at the Margaritaville Resort. Our room has full kitchen and we wanted to take advantage of it, so we went to Moe's. It is a great little market, but has almost anything you could need. And is nice and clean inside. It almost reminded us of a Trader Joe's, or a Whole Foods market that we have back at home. When we come back to visit, this will be our new go to! (The except cash, card, Apple Pay, android pay, and google pay) read more

The best market I found in St. Thomas. If you are staying near Red Hook area this is the market to go to! Moe's Fresh Market is extremely clean, has the best product selection, great customer service. They have a huge wine selection upstairs and plenty of other alcoholic beverages. Their sub sandwich are delicious and there is also also small salad bar. I've went to two other markets (Pueblo and Fresh Market), both awful. This one is right spot on, fully stocked with fresh fruits / vegetables and feels like back at home. read more

One million years ago I vacationed on the Caribbean island of Martinique. I chose it, above all others, as I'd read that they had the best food - French Caribbean - of all the islands. When I went to St. Thomas I chose it for entirely different reasons (namely: an incredible flight deal). That probably explains why I ate - in 10 days - no less than 5 meals from Moe's, a market. Moe's isn't just any market though. For an island market they have a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables but what I suggest you as a tourist go there for is: * Fresh Soup - Each day, Moe's makes fresh batches of soup but on Fridays it gets better. Word is out that Moe's Clam Chowder ($5.95) is the bomb. One would think soup an unpopular choice in such a hot and humid environment but Moe's Clam Chowder will prove you wrong. It's delicious. * Salad Bar ($7.99/lb,) - Moe's has a truly wonderful salad bar which includes not just the usual suspects but many prepared salads that they sell in their deli section. Heading home after a day on the beach, Moe's salads provided me something I very much looked forward to. * Wine selection - I was wandering the store audibly searching for wine when another shopper clued me in that the wine cellar here is actually a wine attic. Or second floor. Walk upstairs (or take the elevator) for a fabulously unexpected selection of wines from the world over. There are other markets in the Red Hook area, perhaps ones cheaper than Moe's, but because of Moe's I didn't even bother exploring. Moe's had exactly what I wanted in a clean and well run store. So taken was I with Moe's salads that I made a stop en route to the airport when I saw another Moe's on another part of the island. They had the same delicious soup and the same outstanding salad bar which provided a modicum of joy as I sat at the airport consuming my Moe's bounty, waiting for yet another delayed flight. Stop looking for a cheaper market. Moe's is great. read more

Best place on STT to get groceries. Worth the extra $4 in cab fees or 10 minute drive. Clean, friendly staff wide wide selection. They don't have a stairway to heaven, but they have a personal clear elevator to the liquor dept! Way better and cheaper than Pueblos and Grocery Fresh! worth the extra journey! read more

Spent over $1000 this week buying overpriced groceries. Just tired to return a single box of crackers that were the wrong ones and for $7,99 they refused to return them without the receipt. We stayed in an Airbnb while we were celebrating our son's wedding in STT and needed trays made for a party before the wedding. We went into Moe's and the customer service was outstanding and they delivered! The food they prepared was outrageously good and fed us throughout our stay. We also shopped for essentials and goodies. This is definitely where you want to shop and if you need reasonably priced catering, this store is for you. read more

Rawl is the man! We are here vacationing and have been coming for the last 15 years. Between the flight delays, the car rental place closed, and lost luggage - the silver lining is a single act of kindness. While waiting for the Ferry to St john - Moes had closed, and he was at the door. With two young kids (5 and 2) - having some level of groceries for breakfast was a silver lining in all of the days we had. Huge props to Moes for hiring someone who puts the human first over a closing time. In the future - Moes will get my business before coming to St John for our groceries. Thank you, Rawl - the small things in life make people's lives easier and create experiences where people want to return. read more

Good selection for a small grocery store. This place will make your eyes pop out when you see some of the pricing but you have to remember that you are on an island and they have to fly everything in. Our friends bought a small bunch of grapes for $11. A gallon of milk was $6. Small package of lunch meat was $7. 12 pack of Miller Lite was $13. Pound of Boars Head lunch meat is $13. To give you an idea. read more

We must have stopped at Moe's at least 6x in our 10 night stay on the island. Haven't been here in 2 years (hurricanes last year). Moe's is my market of choice when visiting STT. The owners are helpful, they'll ask if you want them to order anything. The fish (& meat) counter people are very nice; if you appreciate their fish, they'll tell you to come back when the fresh ones come in! You can organize a quick, good dinner with the fresh fish and ready-made salads here. The cashiers always greet you. I've never had a bad experience at Moe's; don't know about the eye-rolling in another review here. Parking can get a little tricky, since it's a small lot. But parking isn't easy anywhere in STT. read more

Best spot in island to get your produce, organic meat, and fish. Prices are comparable to fruit bowl and if you are closer to red hook, it's also convenient. I have not been dissatisfied with the quality of veggies i got from Moe's. Price is definitely more than cost U less but it's also far more superior in its quality. The processed food like chips can be a bit more than other stores so if you are $ wise, load up on the chips and snacks at other stores and get your produce and meat from Moe's. Sandwich bar is really good too and good price. read more
