We got some chocolate and rocky road ice cream along with a peanut butter brownie. The ice cream was good and hit the spot. The brownie tasted dry and not worth the $8 at all. There is a $10 credit card minimum.

Delightful little ice cream shop that also features brownies and cakes. Stopped by one evening to step out of the rain in Red Hook! LOL The ice cream was good, tasted home-made. We tried cookies and cream, dulce de leche, and rocky road. All were good, but our favorite was the cookies and cream. We also got a brownie and a piece of red velvet cake for later. The brownie was good, moist and chocolaty. The red velvet cake had been cut earlier in the day and was a bit dried out. The brownie was definitely better. Good ice cream and baked goods in Red Hook. And, the owner is super nice! Pay her a visit when you're in Red Hook!

Yummy ice cream across the visitor center perfect for after a hike! Lots of traditional and tropical flavors (coconut, mango etc). They had adult alcohol flavors which we didn't try and cookies / brownies too.

Ice cream, always yum when you're in warm climate. This place was no different. The selection and options are not as expansive as places like Baskin Robbins or Cold Stone, but there is a solid selection of classic ice creams you can order, like Fudge Brownie, Cookie Dough, Pistachio, Moose Trail, to the ultra classic Chocolate and Vanilla. This place offers a waffle cone and waffle bowl to add a nice compliment to the ice cream. Delicious. The parking, depending on when you visit, could be challenging. However, there is more parking below. So while an ice cream shop that is surrounded by bars and late night restaurants, this ice cream shop really sort of stands out and blends in well because it also offers a nice selection of "adult" ice cream and milkshake beverages. Good place and we enjoyed it.

Oh my Gawd! This was a gem hidden in the Island of beauty! The owner was so so soooo! Sweet, her service was outstanding and her shop has all the flavors you can find under the beautiful island sun. She was even so nice to accommodate my ice cream in my Marlin cup from Duffeys love shack. My boyfriend recommended this place and we're so happy we strolled in. I got the coconut with almond topping and it was amazing! My boyfriend wanted a boozey milkshake. I can't wait to visit again for a nice cold treat. Everyone definitely has to check this place out!

This place is located in a popular corner and the dessert was tasty except the parking could be difficult.

Three of us were shopping mid-morning and asked each vendor for a good place for breakfast. All recommended a well-known place. Unfortunately, we'd eaten there previously on this trip and wanted something different and better. The nice lady at Xxxxx recommended Calypso. She was sooo excited describing their delicious crepes. Well we found our way to Diamond Dire t and run to Calypso. I had a veggie omelette with whole wheat toast. The veggies were fresh and the omelette quite tasty. My brother (a carnivore) had some scrambled eggs with bacon on the side. When the plate arrived, the aroma of the perfectly cooked bacon brought an approving smile to everyone's face. My nephew had an "Indian" omelette (with ham and veggies). Quite delicious. He also had a freshly made fruit smoothy. I sampled 2 of the coffees, and liked them both. I settled for the strong one with a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream. Scrumptious!! The hostess and the chef were so sweet, attentive and friendly. Made us feel like "regulars". I will definitely be returning to Calypso on my next trip to St. Thomas! "D & M" at Calypso: Thank you for a "delicious and nutritious" breakfast. But more so for a real, personal, warm experience.

You walk through a jewelry store to get to a small restaurant that combines Virgin Islands Ice Cream shop with Calypso Cafe. Most of the seats were taken, and all we saw was a line to place your order at the front. My husband waited in line while I found a table that hadn't been cleaned yet. It was very busy there. He ordered us 2 brownies and 2 bottles of water for $16. The lady at the counter gave herself a tip by taking $3 of the change and giving him back $1. He was going to give her all the change ($4) back, but after that incident he was floored. To add insult to injury, she didn't give us what we paid for. She proceeded to help the next person in line for an ice cream shake order. We waited and waited and no one acknowledged us after trying to flag someone down. We finally got the attention of a different lady who was helping people who were seated in the back. I think her name is Cameron. She didn't fully understand our frustration, and we had to explain that we didn't get the items that we had already paid for. She made it all right, and even offered to warm up the brownies. We just didn't feel like waiting longer for it. I'm giving benefit of the doubt here since maybe we just didn't understand the ordering system. Maybe there's a service charge that we didn't know about. How could we? We didn't even get a receipt. Perhaps there's another line for Calypso Cafe? I don't know. Honestly, the lady at the counter should have informed Cameron before proceeding on to the next customer. It only takes 2 seconds. I mean, really! Will we go back? Absolutely not! We'll go somewhere else the next time we're in Charlotte Amalie. It wasn't worth the long wait for 2 bakery items and water.

I couldn't find the Patio as a Google Maps option, so here you go. For the record, this was a find, and we are so glad we chose to eat on the patio. The Patio is outside, so be aware. However, the prices are half of the restaurant and are more of a simple meal than the restaurant. Lexie was our server and, honestly, one of the best and more memorable servers I can remember having in a long time. She was professional and yet down to earth and conversational. We threw her questions, and she was honest about her recommendations. PLUS, she was right in her opinion! So, we ordered three items off the menu with the Ahi Nachos, Grilled Mahi Sandwich, and Mudpie being the items suggested. All three were great, and the nachos were a highlight until the HUGE Mudpie stole the show. Cold coffee ice cream with Oreo crust and chocolate drizzle hit the spot watching the sunset. At the end of the day, The Patio is spacious with a full bar and sits right on the beach. It can get warm, and when the sun went down, the bugs came out; however, it didn't take away from our meal and our incredible service from Lexie.

The spacious dining area with a great happy hour and dinner menu comes out at 5:00. We got there for the lunch menu and were glad we did because we got sandwiches which were great. Candidly, nothing on the dinner menu blew our minds. The tuna sandwich with wasabi and arugula was fantastic, and the tuna was prepared perfectly! We also got shrimp tacos that were better than the sandwich for what it's worth. Our server, who didn't give us her name, was sweet and attentive and even brought a cask of water without us asking. At the end of the day, High Tide delivered as advertised. Three last thoughts if you've read this far: Park at the MVD and walk; it's not that far and free. Get the Key Lime Pie; it was outstanding but pretty typical of the area. Lastly, stop at the merch store and grab a t-shirt, which are some of the best I've seen so far!

As for the food m, I thought it was okay. I ordered the chicken curry off of the chef specials menu and I wasn't blown away by it or anything. The rice and broccoli sides were plain, the chicken was cooked fine, and the sauce was good, but not amazingly flavorful like other curries I had had in the past. And for this being a chef special, I just want super impressed. The waitress we had was super kind though, and our food came out quick which was much appreciated. Again, the view is amazing and they have a decent menu listing. While this place is great for a cocktail, sunset, and "little something for everyone" vibes, personally I think there is something left to be desired.
