We went here for breakfast on our first morning in St. Thomas, Sapphire Beach. This cafe is steps from the beach. You order at the counter and they deliver it in a paper bag. Something went slightly amiss which may have been our fault. We ordered and then went outside to get a table. We went back in and stood waiting for our food as many people who came after us received their order. Finally, the cook asked if this was our order and gave us a paper bag with our food. I think the system needs to be better. They should have called out our name or something. The consequence for waiting for so long was food that was not hot. The wife's croissant turned soggy from the condensation in the foil wrapper. My lox bagel was ok but nothing spectacular. I supposed it was ok at $15 given how high prices are in general. The wife felt the same way about her egg, sausage, and cheese croissant. It was not bad but not great. You sit outside to eat. There are tables outside the cafe. You can also go closer to the beach and find a table. read more

The food is pricy, but ... you're at an island resort, so it's expected. The breakfast sandwiches are soooo good. We've tried the bacon, egg, cheese bagels, and the sausage,egg cheese, croissants. The meat is high quality, the egg is cooked perfectly, and the bread is fresh. The smoothies are yummy & they're happy to add a little Cruzan rum. The coffee is good, not amazing, but very good. The staff is not only excellent at their jobs, but friendly. If the shop isn't too busy they will chat with you - they're quite funny. They can give you great local's info about the island too. Show them courtesy and tip them. They'll take great care of you. read more

Why did they charge me extra for bacon and croissants on the sandwiches. What's the purpose of having a sandwich price on the menu if u charge extra for bacon. We stopped by The Beach Buzz for our morning lattes before heading to town to enjoy the shopping district. The place is pretty cool, nice location, right next to Sapphire Beach at the east end of St. Thomas, and the seating area is basically on the beach. The interior of the space is nice... it's as much a souvenir shop as a coffee shop. Our lattes were served lukewarm, and the server acted very bothered that we asked her to heat them up. Not sure how they made that mistake, it seemed the milk wasn't steamed before it was added to the coffee. But, that's a latte. On the upside, we also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches, sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin. That was an awesome sandwich. So, the 3-star rating is driven by the great sandwich, offset by the terrible coffee, with a little bit of positive kudos for the great location. We found other coffee shops with minutes of the Sapphire Beach area, so we'll likely not be going back to The Beach Buzz. read more

If you want an egg sandwich on Thomas bagel or English muffin this is your place, nothing special here. For coffee, you get a cup filled with ice and you go make it yourself. 2 coffees and 2 breakfast sandwiches will run you circa $40. Since the service was terrible, tip was not given. The service, specifically the woman taking orders was extremely rude, she may even be the owner which just makes her look so much worse in front of her staff. Shes like a coffee shop dictator. Her and the chef verbally mocked me as I waited for my order. It's too bad, nice spot but will not return to be verbally mocked at 7am. read more

Listen folks....the food is very yummy, espresso drinks are delish, drip coffee is nothing to write about. The cooks were very nice but the rest of the service staff left a little to be desired. Most ppl on the island are so friendly and helpful...here, not as much. read more

If you're looking for a yummy, quick breakfast that is right on the water, this is your spot. We came on a Tuesday morning and we were the only ones there. It's located within one of the resorts but it's steps away from the beach so you can enjoy your breakfast with a beautiful view! Service was meh but honestly not surprising as it seems that's the standard on the island. Food is cooked fresh which I appreciate. Coffee was just ok, not great but did the job. Great coffee shop with excellent cold brew and great sandwiches! Barista Taylor and Owner Mike are the best! They recommended Hemp milk with my coffee and it was great! This coffee shop also sells coffee cocktails, smoothies, ice cream, souvenirs and toiletries. Great option to have on the resort. Tip: you can still come over even if you're not staying at resort. Let parking attendant know you're here for the cafe and they will direct you to the parking lot on the left. Hours: 7 am - 4 pm, every day. Breakfast til noon. read more

Amazing coffee every day and I don't like coffee but they make a great iced mocha with caramel. Great service too. Breakfast sandwiches have been great and today we had lunch at the outdoor eatery which I think is apart of it? Either way my hamburger was SO good. Grabbed a bacon egg and cheese bagel sandwich and cold brew here. Cold brew was strong (one of the characteristics I expect of cold brew) and the breakfast sandwich was delicious. The bagel wasn't overly toasted and the bacon was perfectly crisp. Giving 5 stars because the staff was very friendly (when I asked them about the Full Moon party they were happy to explain it and recommend other places too). If you get something to eat here make sure you bring it to the bar that overlooks the water (see photo). I promptly spilled my cold brew all over myself and table and one of the bartenders went and got another one for me at no charge. So nice. read more

Long lines and sometimes disjointed service, this place is conveniently located to the beach, has a strong cold brew coffee and really tasty breakfast sandwiches. I never came here where there wasn't a line but it's nice that the woman cooking the breakfast sandwiches will take your food order while you wait. The man working the cash register/making coffee was always flustered and sounded upset, constantly asking you to slow down ordering or repeating yourself in sometimes a rude manner. However the coffee is on point and you can tell they are just busy. I recommend the egg and cheese on english muffin and get a side of their hot sauce. They have a ton of boozy cocktails too which I never tried but seemed really popular. read more

We walked from the sapphire condos to this little shop. Missed it at first bc yelp didn't grab the exact location for walking. Anyway. Walk in it's tight if there were any more people. We wanted coffee and a light breakfast. So much more worth it than what we had the night before. Ha! $28 for these two healthy sized sandwiches and I got a 12oz mocha and hubby got 12oz black coffee. Yes maybe if we were stateside it wouldn't be that much but neither would be the atmosphere. Expected to pay more but not get much food (like last night - sooooo not worth it. Aka the easterly. Blah). Anyway. My Sammich was packed full of salmon and cream cheese just the way I like it. The hot mocha coffee was perfect! If in for a quick convenient bite - this is a go to! read more

I've been trying coffee places all over the island, and based on the feel of this place and the location, I had high hopes. They were dashed. I ordered an iced latte. The staff person, I can't say barista, asked whether I wanted that with espresso shorts or cold brew. I have an involuntary and momentary look of incredulity, then I said espresso shots. We may have discussed it again. Then he asked his colleague to make my order. A few minutes later, she put a beverage in the counter and announced it as an iced Americano. I asked the original staff person if that way mine because I'd ordered an iced latte. They then Re-made it, throwing in a bunch of water then some milk then the coffee, basically making an americano with milk. The coffee tasted watery and not particularly nice in flavor when I tried it. I won't be back. The only positive thing I can say is that it was a lot less expensive than iced lattes elsewhere on the island, but maybe that's because they didn't know what they were making; it's possible that wasn't on the menu, I didn't actually look carefully, as it's a basic drink and it's what I went in for. read more

service was horrible. I came into the store and after the per taking orders was done with the consumer before me, she looked me in my eyes, walked from behind the register, and left the store without saying a word. I was so shocked that I stood there for a few minutes and waited. I finally left because I had to use the restroom whitch was a couple minutes away, and low and behold, there was the cashier, who looked at me straight in my eyes and walked past me again. I don't want to say that is was racially motivated but I am a black man, and you clearly don't run a business that way. read more

I've certainly been places where "the only option" wasn't very good. Why would they have to be? Sapphire doesn't have many options within walking distance, but luckily this "only option" is pretty awesome. Friendly and helpful staff - with great taste in music (that's not too loud); Food is great (I'm fairly judgey too), and the sundries shop has many essentials if needed. Will definitely be back for breakfast, and quite likely lunch. read more

Absolutely loved this place! We are staying at the condos right next to it and it was so easy to just pop on in. I got the sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel, absolutely delicious! The bagel was perfectly buttery and everything was made so well. I also got an iced dirty chai, could've used a bit more flavor but not bad!
