So here i am, a mom, a wife, fighting a constant battle with PCOS. Seriously PCOS sucks.. you eat right, you go to the gym and out of the 100+lbs you need to loose, you might loose 20 in a 6 month time frame only to hit a plateau and your hormones realized what you're doing only to go into overdrive and you gain 30lbs... so for ten years it was an uphill battle that i lost yearly. I tried it all. My husband suggested " Honey, have you thought about getting lipo". Now before you judge, i knew right from the get go that lipo was not a diet.. it was not about weight loss.. My problem was i had a stomach bigger than Santa Clause and I needed it gone. So I didn't hesitate , I called Beleza and that was it.. a few weeks later i paid for Lipo in the abdomen, flanks and upper abdomen. I was scared to death.. here i am 275 lbs.. a few months ago i was 287lbs.. what was a person my size doing getting lipo.?. I could have a heart attack on the table. But i knew i was healthy, i just needed to get this stomach to budge.. So after lipo i lost 12 lbs from the lipo itself.. my stomach is mostly gone. this was mid April and I'm coming up on the 2 month mark here soon. My pants size is one size smaller, but the reason why I am mentioning all this is I beleive ( there is no scientific proof unless you go by my results) the fat from my stomach increased my androgen levels causing me to have impossible chances of loosing weight. Since Lipo without changing my diet ( i don't eat carbs, starches, sugars or caffiene anyways) I have lost a total of 32lbs since mid april. Total i have lost 44. But thats because i am eating only foods are beneficial for women with pcos. Now for the staff at Beleza, I have not seen anyone new at their facility.. The ladies know me by name, but lets face it, im a funny gal ( or funny looking) so its not hard to remember me. The ladies at the front are sweet.. and Dr. Broders assistant is the sweetest. I had a small infection I didn't realize i had after lipo and they were sweet and kind taking care of me. checking on me. Dr. Broder, made sure he came in for every checkup to see my progress.. . The review below stating their Lipo wasnt that great.. Well, I don't know about that experience but i can tell you that i understood going into this procedure that i wouldn't be perfect.. i knew i had a ton of fat to remove and they don't have any way of knowing its all gone. plus with as much fat as they removed from me, i knew they may not get it all. But I think they did, i'm still a bit swollen, thats normal, but I'm so tickled with the results.. My next appt is in a few days and ican't wait to show them how much weight has fallen off me. Heck, i can't wait to see how much more weight falls off me in the next month!!! My only concern is, how much more $$ do i need for a mommy makeover, because that is my next goal... !!! read more

Beleza Medspa was one of the business that kept popping up during a procedure search. Based on reviews, It was one of few locations I looked forward to learning more about, especially because their listed prices were something I could possibly work around. I had already visited and read through every page and link on their website - so I was aware of their specials and starting prices. Needless to say, I was shocked when I received my quote. I came home to double check the price and there was a huge gap. Today I called to find out why my quoted procedure(s) stated, "start at price "X" on their site, but my quoted cost was almost double (Note:I did have additional procedures quoted, but a specific procedure was priced much different than advertised). After a lengthy pause and a "let me check it out", I was told the online "start at" price didn't include the office fee (or something along those lines) of $1200. [Personally, I think that should be noted on the website or mentioned on the phone. I did call to ask about it and that's when I was offically convinced to schedule a consultation. "Fair enough", I thought because based on what I read online, affordability may have been possible]. Furthermore, I was told that fee was waived on my quote because of the other procedures I was interested in. If I deducted the cost of those additional services, the price is still inconsistent. But, that adds further question to my question. If that fee was waived, again - why is was my quote so high? I don't know, something just didn't seem right. I'd like to add that I've never had a procedure done [besides injectables if that counts]. Understandably (in my opinion), there are many questions and concerns I have. If I felt the person I spoke to about the above made me feel as though she was annoyed or in a rush. I can't imagine bringing forth my many questions about the procedure(s). I need to feel comfortable and I didn't feel that, at all. I even mentioned moving my injectable services to their office. That won't be happening. The staff at this office is amazing! I was warmly welcomed in for a free consult with Joyce, who gave me her complete and total undivided attention until all of my questions and concerns were addressed. She was very thorough and knowledgeable in every aspect of what I questioned and I felt 100% comfortable pursuing what I had gone there to for. I proceeded a week later with the CO2 laser DOT therapy which is a pretty intense skin resurfacing procedure. The morning of my procedure was very relaxed for me but Kathryn (FNP) and her crew were gearing up to get me taken care of. The procedure, atmosphere, and staff help were all extremely professional in every way and I was sent home with more than enough information to know what to expect over the next few days and assurance that everything went just as planned. I felt great (even though my face was purposely and cosmetically burnt off to say the least lol)! I can't say what the results are just yet as I'm smack dab in the middle of the healing process but everything is going according to plan and I have no doubt I will be very pleased. I had DOT laser therapy in December 2013 and then I had my lips done in January 2014. I have to say I was really impressed with Dr. Broder's frankness as well as bedside manner. I have a very low tolerance for pain and they made sure I was medicated so I could relax and get the most out of my procedure. I am happy to report that my skin looks amazing and it just gets better each day! When I went in to have my lips done I purchased 2 vials for the upper and lower lip but Dr. Broder insisted that I didn't need both, just the lower to give it more volume. He didn't want me looking like some sort of TV freak! So I did the lower and he said, "If after it sets and you decide you want to do the top then we can." BEST ADVICE EVER! I love how natural I look and I still have a vial waiting. I can appreciate that he wasn't just willing to waste my vial and let me walk out of there looking like "Big Ang" of the Mob Wives! Sweet sweet Kathryn! Had my follow up after laser today. In the past, I have been traumatized by horrible bedside manner, aftercare treatment and all around lack of humanity and care from one of the top Dallas surgeons. I had a second corrective surgery with him where I flat-lined so I do NOT exaggerate when I say Traumatized. Needless to say, going in for any follow up or just seeing any doctor has become triggering. Plus, I have suffered with bad skin my whole life and anyone who has lived that knows it can be as debilitating as more 'serious' conditions. I am a recent college grad at 35 after owning my own business all of my 20s and starting to interview; not to mention mingle here in a new town. I felt compelled to review because I felt so welcomed from the time I got on the phone with them (SO FRIENDLY) until I left my consultation. They genuinely seem like they all love their jobs there. Furthermore, I was impressed that they offer complementary consultation... it made feel feel as though they weren't trying to pin me down before I even knew what I was getting into. During my visit they were super kind and friendly and very patient and understanding when I got my appointment time wrong and showed up late. I also asked an annoying amount of questions and never felt rushed or uncomfortable. They didn't try to pressure me into scheduling or upgrading/adding services- and told me I could just let them know when/if I was ready! I had a very pleasant experience at Beleza. The staff was incredible and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere was clean and organized. The ladies enjoyed carrying on conversations with you. They really know how to make you feel welcomed. I had my procedure done at the Cypress Creek location and I would go back and also refer friends of mine to this location. Dr B was fantastic he made sure I was comfortably positioned so I could obtain the best results. He goes that extra mile also! He tries to get everything out. I have had several different treatments/procedures at this location and have been incredibly pleased with them. And, let's be honest, I'm so going back! I strongly recommend them. Best value what you get in Austin. In particular Courtney, the nutritionist, is incredibly personable and is great at providing recommendations that are appropriate for your overall goals. She helped me achieve everything I wanted, providing guidance and support one week at a time. Dr. Broder is awesome too. He is great at what he does. Beleza was having a promotion special celebrating the Supreme Court ruling. I made an appointment for my partner and me with Nicky for a Hydrafacial. I've never had one before and was not sure what to expect. From the moment I walked into the office the staff was wonderful and welcoming. I am not good with remembering names but I was very impressed with everyone I spoke to. Once Nicky took us back, she explained everything we would experience with this treatment. She made us feel so at ease and we developed a quick rapport with her. Nicky was very knowledgeable and comfortable with her skills. I highly recommend her for this service. I went for my first facial peel, and wanted to know if the Vitalize that was on special would be a good choice. Karen in Cedar Park was so sweet and helpful on the phone with me, I just had to meet her when I went in for the Vitalize peel. The entire staff is also friendly and helpful. I was scheduled with Sheri, and she is so knowledgeable and experienced, that after she answered all my questions, I was not nervous at all. She gently applied the peel lotions and I felt no discomfort, just a little tingling. No one noticed I had done anything to my face at all. Today is 24 hours after the peel, and my skin is not red, just a little tight feeling. I cannot wait to see the results after a couple of weeks. I've been a couple times to decide if the C02 is right for me. On my 2nd appointment I spoke with Dr. Hix. I have a major concern regarding my taking the medication Prednisone. This medication is for arthritis and side effects causes thinning of the skin on arms and face. After speaking with Dr. Hix I feel totally comfortable in having the treatment done in 6 weeks. But what I really liked is how she took the time to work out the timing and discussing how far we could go with the treatment and still have a natural outcome. Originally had lipo to flanks, bra rolls and abdomen on 7/15/16. I was satisfied with procedure overall, but desired to have re-touch done to slim down bra rolls, and flanks a little more. First time going to a med-spa, and had a hydra-facial. My son treated me to a mothers day gift. And I was totally blown away, krystal did a phenomenal job with the treatment, telling me all about how the process worked and what to expect. It was so relaxing and my skin felt and looked incredible. Krystal did a great job going over my skin care regime at home and instructed on what products would work best for me. My son even bought me a product she recommended call Ha5 moisturizer and since I have been using it I can tell a noticeable difference. This place is great! I had Smart Lipo at the beginning of January, and didn't know completely what to expect going in. Dr Broder & his staff were amazing, and made me feel completely at ease. Dr. Broder is the coolest doc ever. We listened to KGSR radio and talked about ACL Fest during my lipo. His staff is truly caring from the ladies at the front desk who are super friendly, his nurses, and the massage therapist.
