Love my local Bel- Air and the different food and product options here. It's vibrant and welcoming and clean. The service is always pleasant and staff are helpful when you need something. I pick up my prime rib here for the holidays and at the bakery all the time. The deli serves great sandwiches so why go anywhere else?

Just went shopping here just a few minutes ago and there were some sirloin steaks on sale. When I went to pay, the cashier noticed there was a fly that was inside the package. The cashier immediately gave it to the supervisor near the cashiers, the supervisor took a picture of it, I tried to take a picture and she pulled the steak away, I asked to take a picture and she said 'no'. I mentioned it to people in line there was a fly inside my steak. The supervisor made no effort to apologize for this and just tried to squash the issue. Disgusting and irresponsible.

Dog bite!

Today, at around 1 p.m., I went into Bel Air looking for some ice cream. Well, let's just say I got a lot more than ice cream on todays visit. :( Upon entering, there was a lady with a small dog, I attempted to maintain my distance. However, as I was walking by, the dog started attacking me! Bit me twice on my leg. As I was shocked that the owner didn't do anything, I walked away and looked to see the extent of the damage to my leg. After reviewing the damage that the small dog caused (bite marks, brushed and slightly broken skin), I approached the lady and told her that her dog did this (showed her my leg/picture attached). The lady laughed and said that her dog did not do this. However, there was another patron who witnessed the whole thing. The concern I had was that the entire front staff saw this incident and no one said anything, they just sat there and watched. Very concerning. Didn't really feel safe at this establishment.

Looks like a rat or mouse pooped/peed on the top, but unsure. Regardless, gross...

Usually buy Alani energy drinks from there, didn't notice until I got home but there seems to be what looks like rodent feces/urine on top of a can between the grooves that I recently purchased, or some kind of mystery gunk. Didn't notice until I got home. Every once in a while the tops will be dusty, but nothing that can't be cleaned with disinfectant. This, however, seems like a biohazard. Service is usually pretty good whenever I go, however, I am curious to see how food is stored in the back after this and other past times of purchasing unclean canned products, particularly the canned beverages.

E cart pick up parking lot in the back of the store.

This was by far one of the most stress free shopping experiences I've had in a very long time. I did all my shopping conveniently from home by using the Raley's Bel Air online store APP. I ordered everything that I needed for thanksgiving and was able to "lock things down" by paying on the APP. At the end of my online order I was given the option to select the day & time for pickupand I selected a future date for this. On the day I was to pick up my groceries I received a text message from the store shopper when my order was ready. There is a private parking lot set up in the back of the store for online orders/ e-cart pick up. The parking lot is clearly marked and there is a posted sign with instructions on texting or calling the store so they know you've arrived. My shopper came outside from the pickup dock wearing a mask and gloves. And she swiftly pushed the basket of bagged groceries to my car and cheerfully loaded up all bags in the cargo area. This service is expedient and contactless and I will definitely do this again. An added bonus; Raley's E store shoppers are actual employees who shop while they are working. With that said, they know everything about their products and you will not get nickeled and dimed with additional 20% tip+ service delivery fee + additional service fee for alcohol, which will quickly add an additional $20 to your grocery bill.

They do not honor the listed price. That is against California state law. I am disappointed with this store.

I don't know how I have lived in Sac for 25 years and have never been here. The store is filled with eye popping quality foods. Think of it as a smaller version of Whole Foods when it comes to food quality and prices. I noticed they had some top quality cuts of meats. The prices are quite high so I'll have to splurge some time on a nice steak. I did notice some items were pretty reasonably priced. For example, I was rather surprised to see they had a very large variety of Temple coffee beans for for $14.99 a bag. That's cheaper than I have seen elsewhere but I didn't pay close attention to the size since I was fully stocked on coffee at the moment. I had to try one of their legendary made to order sandwiches. Someone had recommended The Tuscany. Boy, was that delicious! And the sandwich was very large for $9.99, I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. There are tables outside so I purchased a bottle soda and a sandwich. Unfortunately, I didn't think ahead because there are no bottle openers available for customers to use so I was unable to enjoy my nice cold drink with my sandwich. I'll have to either bring my own bottle opener next time or choose a drink that is a screw top or flip opener.

The Corti Special is where they choose the types of meat that go into your sandwich. Their sandwiches are big enough for two people. I don't remember exactly what meats were in my first sandwich, but I definitely enjoyed that one more. The second time, the sweet roll got a little soggy for my liking, and I wasn't a big fan of the beef that was included. I am definitely a fan of their honey mustard, though! You can order your sandwiches online, or if you're ordering in-store, there's a slip you can fill out with your order. I waited about 20-30 minutes for my first sandwich, which wasn't too bad considering it was a busy weekend. The second time, I only waited about 5 minutes. They still have a great variety of meats, cheeses, and alcohol. It's a good place to stop by if you're looking to pick up some specialty grocery items along with a sandwich.

Thursday was brisket day so we ordered 3 pounds along with 3 sides each of mild and spicy BBQ sauces to go, intended to eat it later in the day. Didn't bother with ordering anything else - our one goal was to try their meat! Once ready to feast, bake it in the oven for 20 min at 275 degrees to heat. Time to feast! Every bite was juicy, succulent, and savory with the sauces. MmmMm! Sauces are a must, though, because the meat was quite bland without it. Didn't have any smoky flavor (or any flavor at all), but when you slather the sauce all over the meat then you'll experience the real taste that's intended. Fast and prompt service, plenty of outdoor tables for dining, and parking is available on the street. Want some ribs? Wednesday is the day you want to head over if their daily meat schedule doesn't change. Worth a stop if you're in the area but I wouldn't get well out of my way for this joint. It's fantastic, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't consider Roxie Deli & BBQ a hidden gem. Nonetheless, it'll fix your BBQ cravings!!

My to-go order is the Hornet on a Dutch crunch roll with everything on it except mustard. Make it a combo with chips and a drink, and you'll have an incredible lunch. The ambiance is different from other sandwich spots in midtown. The chairs and tables are older and worn, and it's small inside, but it's also inside an old house that was converted into a restaurant. That alone makes this place unique. People hang out inside or outside with friends and enjoy the vibes. There's a real sense of community that the Sandwich Spot brings along with uniquely crafted sandwiches. All of the sandwiches are named after people or landmarks in Sacramento. The staff are all friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and will help you with recommendations if you're not sure which sandwich to get. It honestly feels like you're in the company of good friends. The staff joke around and seem to enjoy their job and working together. You won't be disappointed by trying the Sandwich Spot during your next lunch break or on the weekend, hanging out with a friend.

The restaurant is in a really cool old Victorian house, and the staff were super friendly. The interior was clean and looked like a nice place to dine in, but I ended up taking my order to go. I ordered the #19 with turkey, prosciutto, avocado, and swiss on a dutch crunch roll. The bread had just gone into the oven, so we had to wait about 10 minutes, but I can't complain because it was baked fresh to order. Overall, I thought the sandwich was very good, but honestly not quite as amazing as people online had made it out to be. It was definitely good, but I don't know if I'd be dying to go back when I think Ike's, Mr. Pickle's, Corti Bros, and maybe even Nugget or Sprouts make more interesting sandwiches. To me, those places use slightly higher quality ingredients as well, though maybe I just didn't order the best sandwich here. Overall, it was a good sandwich and a good experience. My expectations were probably just a little too high. I wouldn't be dying to come back but also wouldn't say no if someone wanted to go there for lunch.
