We are in the midst of ordering appliances and I am so pleased I wanted to write a review now. This is our first time purchasing appliances and we felt really overwhelmed. Erika Merkel has taken so much time to help us understand the ins and outs of different appliances. She has made us countless spreadsheets to show which options would work with our exact measurements and power. She has answered numerous emails and met with us so many times. Not once has she made us feel any kind of pressure to buy something. Her knowledge of appliances is astounding - she's basically an appliance genius. I highly recommend shopping at Bekins. I called and they had the Fisher Paykel drawer dishwasher in stock, this is the initial reason I visited their showroom. There are lots on the floor. The sales associate took the time to show me how the appliance works. She also informed me of a promo where FP was giving 5 yr warranties. This appliance shop only does high-end appliances and audi-Visual equipment. I researched online the range of appliances that I was looking for and would consider purchasing, then I went to their store. They beat the big box store prices, which is insane considering it is staffed by professional sales people who actually know what they're talking about. It cost me 60 bucks to have a washing machine delivered and installed, which included the removal of the old unit as well as two new stainless steel hoses. Shopping here was fast, easy, and the same price as the big box stores. Bekins also has its own service department that performs warranty service, including for extended warranties if you buy one. I really like the idea of having a one-stop shop when problems arise, and they will arise. It is hard to point the finger for bad service if you are the only person to point at. As a kicker, they made me a double espresso when I walked into the store. That has never happened at a big box store. UPDATE: I needed to have my washing machine serviced a couple months after the purchase (of course I did, that is what happens now with washing machines, esp the expensive ones). They came out as scheduled, were professional and polite and neat, fixed the machine under warranty as expected. read more

"Exceptional" doesn't even begin to describe the amazing customer service experience that I had with Cheryl at Bekins. This was my first experience working with Bekins after a recommendation from a friend and I will never go anywhere else for appliances. Our washer died on a Friday, I walked into Bekins on Monday, they called me to setup delivery on Tuesday and by Friday our new washer was delivered. Cheryl took her time with me, answered every question that I had since I was going back and forth between front load and top load. She was a joy to work with and being able to drink a beer on tap was a nice touch to the experience. Too many companies have lost their touch with good customer service skills these days...but not Bekins!! I came home and told my husband that he definitely missed out by sending me alone. Honestly the best customer service experience that I have ever had!! The delivery guys were great, they called and asked to come early. I was packing up to go out of town while they were there so I didn't spend much time with them but very nice, respectable guys. They left a personalized note and a rose. That might seem like a small thing to some people but I definitely appreciate the attention to detail and the company's appreciation for their customers. read more

My experience at Bekins was awesome! The minute I walked in the door, I was greeted and asked what I was looking for. I had help within minutes, and all of my questions were answered by a pro named Cheryl. She was very thorough as we went through the important details on which oven would fit my needs, and also my space. She also shared personal experience using her own appliance, since it was the same as I was looking at. I was kept up do date by Abigail as to when I should be expecting delivery, and was taken by surprise the other day when she called to say it was early! It was delivered yesterday by two pros, who were also very professional and helpful, letting us know we'd need to change a breaker to accommodate our new oven, and also a few pointers on getting ready to bake. I've already used my oven several times and am beyond impressed with its performance. I'm very excited to experiment with just what it can do. Obviously, I quite recommend Bekins! read more

truly exceptional experience with Bekins. my sales guy Ethan was fantastic. he really pointed me in the right direction on the refrigerator I purchased. I appreciated his understanding that we were in a hurry to replace the old icebox. i had never been to Bekins before this experience but it will be my first stop for all future purchases. when the fridge died I was frantically calling around town looking for insight on inventory and delivery. all of the big box shops were a nightmare. they had no idea what was in stock and even less insight into when I could get it delivered. and that was after waiting on hold for fifteen minutes and being transferred to 3 other departments. at Home Depot I had to leave a message and someone eventually called me back and let me know that delivery on custom cabinets was about 6-8 weeks. I said that's great but I called about refrigerators. When I called Bekins and talked to Ethan he was very knowledgeable. he explained the measurements I would need and the various types available. I got off the phone and went right to the showroom and Ethan hooked me up with fabulous new refrigerator. Bekins also understood my urgency and said they would get my refrigerator delivered sometime the coming week. that's about a week earlier than other places. and sometime this week turned out to be tomorrow! the two guys that delivered the fridge were great. they cared more for my floors than I do! they got the job done, showed me the workings and how to replace the filter. they even ran the water dispenser a few times so it didn't have the plastic taste. bekins delivered! all around great experience. they even follow up to see if it's working out. one of the best customer experiences in a long time. bekins is the best. read more

We will purchase all of our appliances from Bekins from here on out. We purchased a Beko dishwasher and that exceeded our expectations as well. It washes and dries our dishes great (with the exception of plastic wear, which is normal). It has a third rack and a 2 year manufacturer warranty. We are very pleased all the way around. read more

Due to COVID-19 I could not shop in person so I entered an online chat with Bekins Grand Rapids store representative, Jeff. I was searching for an upright freezer in the 10-15 cf range. Jeff promptly sent me a link to an Amana that he had in stock. Prior to this I had done some checking with a few big box home improvement stores and other area appliance stores and found that Bekins' price was very competitive. Moreover, delivery was free! Jeff answered all of my questions thoroughly and was extremely helpful. My purchased could not have been easier or more enjoyable! Additionally, the delivery crew were friendly, prompt and professional. They even left me with a long-stem red rose and a hand-written thank you note from Jeff. What a nice touch! Amazing, first-class service from start to finish! Bekins was able to deliver a dishwasher in a week that I've been waiting months for from another retailer. I purchased a Bosch dishwasher months ago from the other store but couldn't take delivery due to COVID related construction delays. And when I was finally able to ask for delivery, the other store had sold my unit to someone else, no units were available and they would not say when more would be available! I called Bekins and Jonathan told me they were on order, and initially that they were delayed until September. Happily, two days later he called back to say one had arrived! We recently remodeled a large kitchen (our fifth in as many houses) and ordered: 2 Fisher-Paykel drawer dishwashers, 1 plumbed Miele coffeemaker, 1 Vent-a-Hood custom range hood, 1 each of Gaggenau's drawer microwave, double convection oven, induction range top, refrigerator, freezer. We ordered weeks in advance of needing them in order to guarantee their delivery once the kitchen cabinets were installed. 1-The salesman was not knowledgable about any of the appliances. 2-Full payment for the appliances was required before they would even schedule delivery. (The only vendor that has ever made such a request.) 3-The initial (yes, initial) delivery was delayed (setting our schedule and the builder's back), then we were told all the appliances had been returned because of damage to every appliance! No, we were assured, the delivery truck was not in an accident nor riddled with gun fire, but no explanation was ever given. Nor was our full payment refunded until they could locate more appliances. 4-Once the appliances started to arrive: a-the Miele was scratched during installation and the repairman broke the machine so that a replacement had to be ordered. b-the two dishwasher drawers were different models so another, correct one, had to be ordered. c-the replacement dishwasher was not installed correctly and the installers left the machine with an error code displayed. Our contractor and plumber guessed the cause and fixed it. d-the range top was suddenly on back order e-the range top, over a week end became not available (We went to Garrett's Appliance the same day and chose one of several models they had in stock.) We cancelled our order with Bekins but could not get a refund of our FULL payment until they got around to mailing a check. 5-Finally, (thank goodness), we were down to the range hood. At least we could cook and open a window in lieu of having a range hood. The salesman kept calling our contractor with questions regarding the length of the stainless steel vent duct. Finally he came out with another employee and conferred with our contractor who kept reminding them we had requested a specific length and asking them why they were needing to remeasure. Apparently they had ordered the wrong length and to get the correct one would take 12 weeks. After all of the above, I confess to being extraordinarily unpleasant. The correct length duct was delivered and installed within a week. What has Bekins done as an apology for the delays and extra expenses they caused us? "____" That's right, nothing. Will we ever shop with them again? Ah, nope. read more
