I've been a customer of Bekins for quite a while, and the last trip in was to get a new washer and dryer. I have a tight fit, so I brought in the dimensions. I was told there were two options, I picked one, and when they came for delivery, the dryer did not fit. The installers recommendation was to go back to the hard angled exhaust vent, which he stated clogged very easily. So between either having the closet doors closed and having a mismatch set, or leaving the doors open and having a matched set, I chose the previous. I ended up paying an additional $966 for the new dryer, which they said would fit, which indeed did not fit, again, this time the installer said I should cut into the drywall and move my dryer vent. I ended up asking for the old dryer back, the doors don't close but I have a match set, and I did get a refund of a $966. read more

another disappointing trip to Bekins. Came in to replace our microwave, we did have a challenging situation, small space for a built in, old house, was told they did not offer a microwave and trim kit that would fit our space, they shot down my idea of buying a microwave the same size as old one, and using existing trim kit, told me not possible, and there was nothing they could do for me, So I went to Home Depot and did just that. Bought a microwave the same size and installed the old trim kit, it fits perfect and looks great. I feel like if they really wanted to, they could have made me a happy customer. read more

Bekins might not have as many models of TVs to choose from as the big box stores but they do have enough of the best models that you should still be able to find one that suits you. I also appreciated that the salesman was honest about which TV would be better in my particularly bright living room when I was leaning towards one that cost 1 or 2k more than the one he recommended for my specific situation rather than just sell me the most expensive one he could. They also have great customer service in their installation department and accommodated switching the mount choice for me so I could get the install sooner. The guys they sent out were super friendly and made sure everything was functional and the TV was centered before they left. read more

The place looks like it would cost a bunch more money than the big box stores, but it doesn't. Sure there are some price differences, but the people really know what they are talking about. Combining their knowledge for appliance products and customer service, they are leaps and bounds ahead of the rest. They service what they sell, they have experts in consumer electronics, in electronics installation/integration, appliance service, and appliance installation. The best thing is that the sales professionals don't just try to sell you on what will make them the most money. They try to find out exactly what it is that you want and need, then help you decide on a solution tailored to your situation. How do I know? I didn't realized how fabulous they were until I had my stove installed and had questions regarding it ~ I emailed them and they got back with me the next day and sent someone out to give me a personal run-down on all of the benefits of the stove and how exactly it worked. Today I finally lost it with Bekins. I have spent a lot of money there for high end entertainment systems and appliances. They are very expensive and the customer service is the worst. Rarely do they ever fix things correctly, and their arrogance is such that any service requires payment up front. After spending thousands to get our entertainment system they installed to work correctly, I finally called someone else to fix the mess. Most recently, they came to "fix" my wine refrigerator. When finished, the "refridgerator" would only cool to 80 degrees. Bekins called me today and told me that I owed them another $260.00 for "fixing" the refridgerator. If you want to spend a lot of money on high end appliances and electronics and get the worst service and follow up ever, then Bekins is the place for you. But really, go somewhere else. read more

Zack at Bekins was very helpful. Our 26 year old SUBZEREO builtin refrigerator finally gave up the ghost. We needed a new 48" unit with a retrofit panel kit to keep the kitchen looking great. I took in the dimensions of my refrigerator along with the model I was replacing in to the store and was sold a "standard" size when I was looking to replace a counter-top depth. The standard size was delivered to my house and at that point the delivery team realized it would not fit. It would be another week until I had a refrigerator so I asked about a loaner or one I could rent until the new one came, was told he'd "look around and get back to me" but never did. I was bummed because in the store they promote their testimonials all over the walls, but I was not impressed by the customer service. read more

This is not a review of the people who work at Bekins. This is a review of one of the products that they sell. The salesman that helped me purchase my new refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave was very helpful. However, I purchased a Kitchen Aid dishwasher and wish I had known more about what a terrible appliance it is. I bought it two years ago and now it is broken. I cannot get it fixed as I cannot schedule a repair time with all the other things that I have going on right now. However, I am fairly certain it will be very expensive and will probably end in my having to purchase a new dishwasher. How ridiculous is it that a dishwasher would break after 2 years? I have owned dishwashers for well over 15 years in the past with no problems. And to say that I should have bought an extended warranty is ridiculous. Two years is so completely unacceptable. It is really inexcusable that we are expected to buy extended warranties because of how poorly products are made. I am concerned that such a good store as Bekins would sell such a poor product. Also, we are a 2-person household, so this dishwasher does not get a lot of use. No one should ever consider purchasing a Kitchen Aid dishwasher. They are a piece of junk. read more
