Last Saturday, we used Local N Long Distance Movers for our move, and we couldn't be happier with the service! Karen and Alex were amazing - efficient, and handled our belongings with great care. The quality of service exceeded our expectations. The team arrived on time, worked quickly and made the entire process stress-free. If you're looking for reliable movers at a great price, I highly recommend LNLD. Thanks again to Karen and Alex for making our move so smooth!

I had called this company back in September but this business wasn't the first one I called - I had…read morea few FaceTime calls I got prices from and some over the phone. Since the last time I made a long move, prices have substantially increased! I was getting quotes in the 5-6K range for a job that I paid 8 years ago for less than 2K but there were two companies that gave us a much reasonable range and one of them was Local N Long Distance Movers. Initially, I was just shopping around and wanted to compare estimates and out of all companies I called, Courtney was the most friendly and accommodating for my needs. I had to adjust my inventory multiple times because we kept discovering more stuff and throughout the process, I also got rid of some furniture. She was extremely helpful and honest and in the end we only paid slightly more than the initial quote! I've heard of so many nightmare stories from people moving long distance. Their tactics were questionable but so far, I've been very fortunate with our experiences when committing to these companies. They have most of your valuables and you need to be able to trust them to not only transport it but be punctual and handle your goods with the utmost care! We pre-wrapped some very fragile items realizing we wasted our time because these guys did a much better job. When you live in a downtown building, sometimes elevators don't work like they're supposed to and you can't always get your reservations at the time needed so it's important that your movers show up on time. Andrew and Mike were early and gave me a courtesy call before arriving. These guys spent the entire day moving and extra wrapping everything up. Due to the distance from my unit to the truck, it took them way longer than expected. We felt so bad they had to walk so far but it didn't affect the pricing at all since it was flat rate. Thankfully, we were able to tip them generously for both days for everyone's hard work. They got to my place a little before 10 AM and finished the job at 4:30 PM. The following day, their truck had some issues and they let us know but they managed to deliver next-day as well and unpacked everything with delicate care. Mike and Vlad came back and we had the best experience with them from beginning to end. They were professional, kind and gave us total peace of mind! I've worked with many moving companies from big to small jobs all over the Bay to SoCal and by far, my experience working with Courtney and the movers (Mike, Andrew and Vlad) made this move an exceptional experience. Please do your research, there's a lot of shady businesses out there holding your stuff hostage, delivering extremely late, charging way more than you should be paying. I am so grateful I stumbled upon this company. We could have used previous companies we worked with but this one blew our socks off and we wouldn't have known if we didn't give them a try. Nobody asked me for this review by the way! Just wanted to show them love for getting our stuff from A to B swiftly, with the best customer care! Thanks again LnL and wishing your team all the best success and many more happy customers for the future.

A small item did break but nothing valuable or even worth taking the time to make a claim. They did take a well deserved lunch break between the 30 min drive from my old place to my new place - and i'm not sure whether this was on my billable time. I'm happy with the service and would recommend them. They could, however, improve on communication when it comes to booking/questions.

This is the worst moving experience I've ever had…read more First they showed up late. That could not move my couch down the stairs. (Past movers had no problem) I had to leave work to help them carry the couch down 4 flights of stairs. - Then he's try to charge me $100 extra to move the couch that I had to help with. I had to call the police to get them off my property. The owner came with while the police were making his mover leave my property. I again offered to pay him everything but the additional $100 for the couch I had to help with. He refused and said he would rather Sue me. Terrible experience. -

I have moved several times in the last five years and always used movers. I may not want (or even be able) to do it on my own, but I know what it should look like. And this was not it. I asked for two movers. I moved out of a 1 bedroom apartment and I didn't even take all of the furniture with me. Three movers showed up. I was worried they would charge me extra but they kept the two man rate. And rightly so because the third guy hardly did anything at all. As for the other two, one was a very hard worker and was busting his butt, but the second guy was much slower and did a lot of delegating to the first guy. It took them nearly 4 hours to get my already packed things loaded onto the truck. In addition to being slow, they also seemed to have no idea what they were doing. Most movers cover your furniture with blankets and wrap it up to protect it. These guys wrapped it in plastic wrap, if at all. I still don't understand how that's going to protect my desk if they drop it. And when it came to moving the couch, they acted like they'd never moved one before! They kept complaining about how heavy it was. I had to explain three times that it was a sleeper sofa and that they should probably take the cushions off before they move it. I've had the same couch for years, no other movers ever had any trouble with it. And to top it off, they were incredibly careless with all of my boxes. Even the ones labelled in big red marker as "FRAGILE!" and "GLASS/FRAGILE!!!!". Several of my boxes were crushed because they put the heaviest boxes on top of the lightest ones. I've never been so concerned for my belongings during a move. When it came to unloading the truck into the new place, they were just as slow! Only the one guy was actually trying to get my stuff in the right room in a timely manner. At hour 7 (for a 1 bedroom apartment's worth of belongings, mind you) I asked them if they were nearly done and when they would be wrapping up. It was really starting to worry me how slowly they were going, were they trying to price gouge me because it's an hourly rate? It sure seemed like it!! Once I asked this question, the two less helpful guys became incredibly rude towards me. (Again, the third guy was super nice and professional, and he was the only one actually working hard) It was just a very stressful, unprofessional experience. When I moved 1 year ago with the same stuff, 2 movers got the whole move done in less than 5 hours. And that included a 60 minute drive. This time, it took nearly 8 hours. And to top off the whole day, they broke part of my couch!!! And instead of telling me about it, they shoved the broken piece into the bottom of an open box and left it there for me to find. I'll say it again, I have never been less satisfied with a moving company. This is a scam and you should absolutely NOT use them for your move. Worst experience ever!!

I'm not a lithe 20 year old anymore (not that I ever was, but you get the idea), and my middle aged body wasn't up the task. So I reached out to Rigo's, who literally and figuratively took care of the heavy lifting. Their online booking process was easy, with follow ups via text, keeping things efficient while I'm going crazy trying to pack and do everything else associated with a move. The pair of movers I booked arrived right on time on the big day, a little before the POD showed up. But once it did, I turned them loose on the pile of boxes and furniture, and they blew through it like it was nothing. They had my 16 foot pod a little over 3/4 full in a little over an hour, and secured the items to finish up. Overall I was happy with the service Rigo's provided and would easily recommend them to anyone that needs a hand in moving.

Where should I begin with my review for Movers LA?…read more My last move was about 2-3 years ago but I had way less things so this time around, I obviously need to hire movers again. From my first move I actually made an excel sheet to compare pricing. I used the same excel sheet and started calling for pricing to see what the best rates would be. Every single place I called had an increase in cost, even they offered any kind of Yelp promo or if you paid with cash. Some places were charging about $100+ per hour, service fees, not including shrink wrap, pretty much would be charged for everything and could possibly spend up to $400+ for a less than 7 mile move with 2 bedrooms, minimal furniture, and mostly pre-pack and do majority of the move would be done by my roomie and I. With all that being said, I never gave up and kept calling different companies. I'm so glad I was patient and stumbled across Movers LA. Their pricing is super fair ($85 per hour if you pay cash)! I can't applaud James and his crew enough. I was given a time frame between 2-5pm. James called me around 3:30pm to confirm that he'll arrive around 4pm and he got here 4pm sharp! They were super efficient, got the job done in less than 4.5 hours and our new place is all stairs. They are the best, I highly recommend them!!
