Beer flight

A very special craft beer gem in Webster, TX. I was recently visiting my mom in league city and found this shop on Yelp. Small spot with a massive variety of beers on tap & a fridge section for bottled & canned brews. + hungry? bring in food or order delivery + super friendly service + lots of seating - high tops/tables or sound lounge seating + so many options - something for everyone (if you don't drink beer, they have sparkling water for sale as well) - flights available! + reasonably priced + swag for sale Highly recommend if you're a craft beer lover!

Shopping center with great selections! See St. Arnold's Brewing?!

ALL types of beer, ales, & meads. I am serious when I say ALL! Order from the large, well-lit screens which show the sizes available, prices for each size, and the level of the keg. The level of the keg is important for certain beers. The helpful person behind the counter will help you select the right drink for you! Grab a seat at one of the barstools (about 5 spots), at the community high-top long tables, at the cozy area in the back, or even out front for some fresh air (or smoking)! The store is well stocked for a grab & go shopping experience. They have a great selection here too. OR bring your growler for a fill from the taps. The cigar shop a couple of doors down is one place to take your beer to-go.

4oz of Ghost and 16oz of Great Heights. Both were fantastic.

Great tap selection. I had a 16oz Great Heights for the first time and loved it and 4oz of Ghost on the side. Neat little place and in a great spot. Everything was close to my hotel while I was in town for the night. Can't wait to go back to Webster and visit this place again.

Many beers

This place was fantastic. It's a quiet, laid-back bar. It's small and there is not much seating, but I thought it was never too crowded. The front area is the bar, and the rest is the store. They sell all kinds of Texan craft beers. I did purchased a few interesting finds. The bartender was sweet and knowledgeable. I wasn't sure what to order, but he made many beers recommendations. I wound up liking the Schofferhofer Grapefruit beer the most. They do have plenty of options, there are 39 beers on tap, and many more in bottles. Overall, 5 stars.

I'm coming back!! Happy place Slow, soft, gentle music that allows space for conversations. The beers are WONDERFUL and I enjoy discovering flavors. The owners are priceless Cigar room is next door so it's a great combination to be around

With a warm and welcoming staff that is knowledgeable and well educated on the finer points of beer I highly recommend stopping in for a few pints. They have a rotating tap system with all of their current brews available online, so you always know what is playing. They have an outstanding selection of draft choices as well as an extremely deep selection of bottled and canned options. The to-go growler is also a great option to have in your back pocket if you are looking to entertain at home or are on your way to a party and just want to bring an exceptional brew. It's a laid back, fun, and casual environment with screens for the game or for playing games. I look forward to going back!

The website said they have growlers, so I drove from Houston, and they didn't. Cute place though.

They do have a good beer selection, though an awkward atmosphere. The "owner" of the bar was clearly intoxicated. How unprofessional.

It's an easy place for all kinds of gatherings, especially ones with big groups and a thirsty penchant for beer. In a place like Webster where chains rule and suburban life is abundant, Saloon Door stands out as an excellent local option. It may not look like much from the outside and even the interior is minimal, but that somehow doesn't matter when groups of people are enjoying their brews together. They host all sorts of events and also allow for private use of dare venue space. Any first timer should absolutely indulge in a beer flight with some kind. The brewmasters are kind enough to let folks sample to their heart's content. Not everybody is beer savvy (#1) but they do a good job of recommending the right ones for any given palate. I appreciate their selection of stouts, ales, light brews, and IPAs. I have a fondness for their peanut butter milk stout, as well as dar dildo pickle gose. The tasty AF is also a good one, as is the lava imperial hot rock beer. The ladder has an ABV of 11%, so it is the most potent one in their lineup that I know of. Most breweries like this aren't always known for food, but there are some nice deals to be had here. Their taco Tuesday nights are popular since board games and happy hour beers are apparently a thing. The Friday deal for $15 inlcudes a burger, fries, and a beer would is very affordable in these times. Thursday nights they activate their projection screen and do a " a retro video game" night with plenty of multiplayer and beer specials. I always look forward to coming here. There is no pretense, plenty of good service, and even more good beer. __________ (#1) ::::coughs:::: me.

It was one of the first on this side of town before everyone and their mom started opening up breweries. The difference is, it has stood the test of time and is still going strong. This location is located in an industrial park close to I-45. There is plenty of parking. It anchors that particular section and is quite large inside. There is plenty of seating and they also have space available for private events. The staff here know their product and offer great advise on what to pick if you are indecisive like me. They have quite a respectable assortment of beers to choose from. They have light beers, malty beers, stouts, IPAs, and seasonal beers. I would suggest a flight if you want to try a few different things. I am not a big IPA guy, but Saloon Door has some that are pretty tasty. My favorites here at their stouts. They are heavy, but easy to sip on. Their stouts have flavor profiles that I love. My all time favorite Saloon Door beer is the Tasty AF. It is a peanut butter and chocolate milk stout. How can you go wrong with that flavor combination. It's like drinking a dessert. Some breweries name their beers with flavors but don't deliver on said flavor. Here, their beers are true to their names. Don't sleep on their other offering though! As far as food, they have rotating food trucks that you can order from. This location was my introduction to Saloon Door, but they did open their second location closer to my home. I would still without a doubt come back to this location if in the area though!

This review has great energy--you just need it tightened and cleaned 1000 dé cinco estrellas!…read more We visited El Jefe Pollo Asados (620 Nassau Rd in Webster) after a long day of touristy activities, exhausted, with a group of seven--including picky kids. We had so many restaurant options but chose this place because of the high ratings... and I'm so glad we did. I'll be honest--when we first arrived, I wasn't impressed with the outside or the area. I was a little hesitant going in. But the moment we walked through the doors, everything changed. The place felt welcoming, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere--yes, a little loud--but in a good way. It's that lively Mexican vibe: music, micheladas, carne asada... all of it. We were just tired, so I think I noticed it more. Now let's talk about the food... I ordered the Maestro Plate but swapped the meat for short rib costillas--and OH. MY. GOSH. These were hands down some of the best costillas I've ever had. Juicy, tender, packed with flavor. I cleaned those bones completely--every single bite. The dish was served with perfectly grilled "nopales" and queso panela, que ricura! Ahhh, and of course the charro beans and rice that I barely made a dent in. The portions? HUGE. Two of us shared one plate and still had leftovers--and we can eat! Now this part says everything: my grandson, who is on the spectrum and very picky, ordered pollo asado... and he tore into it. No complaints, no hesitation--he finished his entire plate. That alone speaks volumes. My daughter had the birria (and she's a birria critic), and even she couldn't finish her plate because of how generous the portion was--but she said it was full of flavor and really good. My older grandson (big growing boy with an equally big appetite) had a birria quesadilla--again, huge portion--and even he couldn't finish it, which never happens. To top it all off, the owner surprised us with a complimentary dessert--warm, soft, pillowy sopapillas with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. The kids were FULL... and still devoured every last bite. Not a crumb left. And let's talk about pricing... honey. Compared to Austin? This was a steal. I was honestly shocked at how affordable it was for the quality and portion sizes. Amazing food, generous portions, great service, and a place that turned my hesitation into loyalty. They've earned our business--100%. We will absolutely be back next time we're in town.

When we arrived, we seated ourselves outside, where there was only one other group present. Despite the patio being very small and the waitress coming in and out several times, we were never acknowledged or approached. After waiting for some time, I went inside and spoke with the owner, Adolf. He came out to our table and briefly discussed menu options with us. I asked specifically about the fish and chips, as we were told some dishes were no longer available due to an earlier rush. He said he would go check on that for me--but he never returned. Fifteen minutes later, we still had not received any service. When the waitress came back onto the patio again, I called her over and asked when we might be helped. She told me she "did not see us there," which I found difficult to believe given the size of the patio. After that interaction, she did not return to take our order. I went back inside and spoke with the owner again, this time clearly frustrated. He looked me directly in the eyes, raised both hands, and said, "You can calm down now." He repeated it in a tone that felt condescending and dismissive. I responded, "Thank you for giving me permission to calm down," and at that point, I turned around, walked out, and left with my friend to dine elsewhere. I cannot comment on the quality of the food because we were never served. I can comment on the service, which was extremely poor. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the service a zero. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to The Velvet Quarter.

I really hate when places do this. Two thumbs down for the parking set-up. Luckily, once I made my way inside, things got better. McIntyre's is a huge bar. They have a spacious patio but we sat inside. There are plenty of TVs which make it a great spot to watch sports. And they even have a mini food court! I didn't eat but I noticed that one of the two spots serves Mexican fare. My buddy had some loaded fries with al pastor that looked incredible. He said it was good. I stuck with some beers. You'll find your usual assortments of cocktails, beer, and wine here. It's a full bar. Another pet peeve of mine? Cops are the door. It just kind of kills the vibe a little bit when there's a police officer staring at people. Not that anyone was up to no good but it's kind of like drinking while your grandma is watching. Just a little awkward. McIntyre's is comparable to Little Woodrows in the area. They're both huge sports bars with spacious patios. With that being said, I think Little Woodrows offers the better overall experience.
