Solid sports type bar in small town Wisconsin. Beers were very reasonably priced and wait staff was very friendly. They had a great selection of beers and a great venue just to hang out in. Would head back if I was in the area.

Our first time in Princeton and very under the radar town in Wisconsin. Horseradish was dog…read morefriendly in the back area. They have a dog Benny who hangs out and my wife and I are dog people and had our dog Sauce hanging with us while we had an amazing lunch! Everything was super fresh and the bread the caprese sandwich was served on came from a local bakery which is also a must stop called Renards European Bakeshoo. Had the lavender lemonade, which I also recommend. Can't wait to be back in Princeton as it's a hidden Gem and go back to Horseradish!

Horseradish was bustling at 12:30pm on a Saturday, but wasn't too overly packed when we came in. We were able to find a table for 4 and get our orders in quickly. That being said, it took over an hour of listening to terribly overstimulating music with bad vibes to actually get our food. Our kids were hangry, as were the children at a few other tables as well. I ordered the Vegan Witch (I LOVE kimchi) and my daughter ordered the Gus Special No. 1. We also all ordered various sodas/Olipops. The prices for the sodas were absurd, and the side salad that I ordered with my vegan witch was flavorless. I was kind of shocked at the kids' menu options and expected better ... my daughter of course ate it, as she's 4, and who doesn't love cheese on tortilla chips, but what an odd lunch option. I would have preferred more kid friendly veggie options for the side veggies, as radishes are a bit strange to plate for a child ... my sandwich was good, but just seemed to be lacking something. Staff were incredibly nice, but with how slow service was, I would not recommend going when you're actually hungry. I also don't recommend for kids. It was a fun experience and a nice find for in the middle of nowhere, but I guess I was just hoping for a bit more ... The bathrooms are nice, and my daughter and I loved the banana and lipstick lights on the bathroom walls that were also for sale. Cute place, slow service. I'll probably never be in Green Lake, Wisconsin again, so I can't say whether I'd return or not.

Jillian's is a small diner in Princeton, Wisconsin that delivers on food…read more There is so much I like about this place that it seems almost trivial, but to offer a fair review I do have to address the disparity in service, not just today but over the years. If you are a local, the waitress/owner will talk to you and be super attentive. As an outsider to the Princeton community, I often wish we got that same level of attention. A small quibble, but it is part of the regular experience. The line cook, however, is the star of the show. On a busy weekend rush, he normally has American fries warming in the corner of a griddle, and the bacon gets cooked to order. He understands what over-easy means for eggs, and the toast comes crunchy but not burnt. Today my food came in less stellar than normal but still tasted great. The potatoes were not crispy, but that's on me. I'm so used to a rush that I didn't think to ask for them crispy. They tasted great, but had I ordered them crispy, they would have been superb. One of my over-easy eggs was slightly undercooked, leaving too much clear liquid in the egg white. The other broke open on the griddle, resulting in an extremely hard yoke. That make one bad set of eggs in twenty visits, so I know they'll be great next time. We brought our grandson along this trip, and he gave his seal of approval when he signed the symbol for more after one bite of pancake. He demolished a giant pancake in one sitting and thanked the cook on our way out. This gets four stars because my grandson was so pleased. It was not up to normal snuff, but everyone can have a bad day. I'll do an update review the next time we eat here.

The hours are very minimal so we want to make sure we got there early. We didn't know how busy this place would be but we came in mid-afternoon and the menu was absolutely appetizing from what they offered I was immediately interested in their sweet and savory barbecue sandwich. My wife got a soup, the staff was very nice in accommodating and professional throughout the entire visit. They checked in on us and make sure we had water, they engaged in conversation with us , and they take pride in their menu. They offered a Pay It Forward program which was pretty cool to see and they even sell some books too. The food here is also very well priced and affordable. Our meals were absolutely delicious and it filled us up for the rest of the day. This place offered a really clean restrooms and his restaurant was really clean. We got a muffin for us to share and it was absolutely amazing there's parking on the property right next door highly recommend checking this place out this was the highlight of visiting Baraboo Wisconsin

The staff here are so nice, and every time we try something new it doesn't disappoint. The desserts here are a must, they do in fact taste as good as they look. Cute/relatively small dining area, but it feels homey and quaint. Next time we are in the area we will be making a point to swing through for another meal!
