Barrel…read moreSociety has a very large selection, great pricing per dram, and a store towards the back of the building which sells various bottles and beers. Service was solid too. One of the gents behind the bar was very attentive, and liked to geek out on whiskey as much as I do, so it made for a good time. One more thing regarding the selection - everything I picked was in stock, and I don't take this for granted. A number of bars in Chicago boast a huge selection, but your heart gets broken quickly when the barman repeatedly says the selection you've made is out of stock. I'll visit again when I'm in that area if Illinois.

Great bar that you can try all kinds of brews! They have several kinds available for purchase to take home too. Rob,the bartender, was absolutely hilarious! He made the experience that much better. I can't rate that in Yelp but just know it was a great stay, we met so many cool people staying there too, and you should stay there if you come up to check out the barn. Onto the barn! This place has a rich history and I'm so impressed with the way they've maintained the original charm of the barn and grounds while also renovating with modern conveniences. There was a lot of time and effort put into this place! They have a substantial craft beer list, the top ones for me were the pina colada and the deeamsicle, but my friends had many others they enjoyed too. There are beers for sale to take home, and lots of merch and swag. They serve pizza if you want to nosh on something with your beer. We got a Reuben pizza to split and it was great! The owners and employees were caring, kind, and took time to explain the beers and make sure we were well taken care of. Our group couldn't say enough good things about this place!

The surrounding area is rich with natural beauty, but sparse with dining options, and we were happy to find a breakfast spot after a frigid morning stroll at Chautauqua Nature Reserve. I ordered biscuits and gravy with two eggs. The biscuits were fresh, the gravy flavorful, and my eggs perfect overeasies. My wife ordered a skillet of some sort, and darling, as a lifelong rule, I hate onions, but this was the first time in my life I've ever actually enjoyed onions. I shit you not. What are they doing in there? We're a transgender couple and were a smidge concerned about our safety dining in a tiny town dive bar, but Hialeah Club could not have been lovelier. I should have known -- Illinois is a delight, and people here are delightful. Thank you for serving up good grub.

I had high expectations from the Rootbeer Float one, but didn't expect it to be one of those dark, tobacco tasting beers (didn't finish). For my meal, I got a burger with all the works and chips. It will do, the only note is the mustard packets must be very old because it was hardened and wouldn't squeeze out. Oh, for the flights, pay attention to your cups, one of them chipped away and could've easily been swallowed. Wasn't too chatty after the race, but the one guy working was cool!
