The only complaint that I didn't share with them was that my Cobb salad came out on a warm / hot plate that must have just came out of a dishwasher. Lady who answered phone was super sweet - called my friend pretty and was overall patient and just kind. Never been here before so didnt know what to expect, unfortunately cant say it was the best experience. Got x2 Mozzarella sticks which were both slightly burnt and tasted a bit off, but weren't too bad. Also got fries - which were soggy and a bit cold. Then i got a "Medium Rare" burger which is my fault as i didnt know how they cook their burgers there so i cant fully blame them but it was disappointing and straight up disgusting. Spent $11 on a burger i couldnt even eat because it was straight up raw - called and complained in the nicest way i could explaining how it was raw and i didnt even get my side that costed $2. Lady was kind, again. Not her fault at all for anything. she explained to me how medium rare is supposed to be more on the raw side - which yes i get it. But this wasnt medium rare. It was straight raw. The meat tasted gross and smelted very raw. Looks just like straight up raw ground beef, it fell apart when i barely even touched it. But she said they can get me a new burger and the side when i see them again but unfortunately im not from Sheffield so i couldnt get it again as they are closed the next day and its already almost midnight.. What a nice little place with fantastic food and service. Don't be fooled into thinking it is typical bar fare as it is anything but. The free parking is either in front or back. There is seating inside or outside on the patio. The server was very attentive and was right there to fulfill any request. Our food was all served in a timely manner piping hot and very fresh. The bar was well stocked and the bartender appeared knowledgeable as the mixed drink ordered was made correctly. We are regulars customers. We travel 1 hour to eat at this restaurant. They are repeatedly out of light fried chicken. Today is Saturday. We arrived at 5:30. The waitress informed us they are already out of light fried chicken. Seriously? We explained very nicely how frustrating it is to hear they are already out of chicken. Then the waitress got all defensive about the shortage. After repeated times of being out of the chicken of choice you would think the owner would order more chicken. We are restaurant owners. Last weekend our racial softball team was playing in a nearby town and wanted to find someplace to eat that wasn't expensive or too far away. A colleague of mine at work had told me that we had to try Red's if we were in the area. This is definitely not a fancy type of restaurant that you go to for the ambiance, but if you are looking for homemade appetizers and food this is your place! Even the cheese sauce was obviously not from a can! I would have to go as far as to say they serve some of the best bar and grill type food I've ever had. We had a party of 13 that all raved about the food. The service was attentive and friendly and the place was well kept up and clean. We were here for a late lunch on a Saturday so it seemed more restaurant than bar at that hour. I'm not sure what the atmosphere would be like if you had kids at a later time, but it was family friendly at that time of day. I was very happy with the prices as well. It was comfortable to costs at a Hardee's. I even noticed that they had a lady come in just for their dessert. None of us had a dessert because the portion sizes were huge for our meal and we were all stuffed, but the cake the lady had at the next table looked amazing! We were traveling through the area and saw this place had a good rating on Yelp. It didn't disappoint. Even though the place was pretty full, the bartender quick came over with menu's and took drink orders then came back with drinks and took the food order too. Red's is one of the highlights of my good ole hometown of Sheffield. Growing up, the building had a number of owners and went through multiple name changes, but Red's is the best and brightest of them all. The serve all of the staples you expect when it comes to bar food, but it's all really well done. I've had pretty much everything on their menu from salad to fried chicken, and I've yet to have something I don't like. In my opinion though, their fried chicken is probably the best thing that they serve. Always friendly and welcoming staff providing exceptional service. The food isnt the worst. On occasion when they are busy, they will take their phone off the hook causing you to have to go in to order or not at all. Covid 19 precautions are nonexistent. They have a sign on their door stating that some (turned out to be all) employees will not be wearing masks due to "medical reasons". Not a single employee had any type of face covering. The dinning room was packed full of people like sardines with no effort to try and space people away from each other. Holy Cow!!!! After reading the reviews and passing thru the area we decided to stop for lunch. Food was nothing short of GREAT. Burger was very tasty and I had the loaded hand beat tenderloin. A great small town bar/restaurant. It gets pretty busy so get their early or make reservations. It is busy for a reason though, the food is excellent. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, our table of eight never went thirsty. We had mac n cheese bites and mini corn dogs for appetizers. Both had a large amount and were very good. I then had the fried chicken for dinner. It was excellent. The skin wasn't too greasy and it was crispy. Everyone at the table was very satisfied with their meal.
