I love this place, 2nd only to Luckenbach, TX for me. I live in Indiana and ride my motorcycle over as often as I can. It can be so relaxing to just hang out, have a few adult beverages and watch people and the world go by. Quite a unique experience!

Some improvements in 2018 for the Silo bring some badly needed shade to the seating areas, though the large fans were a bit in short supply when we made it out the end of June. Decor was still cool, $3 cans o beer and Big on Blondes was playing a good set, so overall, a pretty decent evening. But the bar food... still very sub par and seeming to be an afterthought. Fix that lousy menu, and the Psycho Silo is a much better destination ride. As much as I'd love to rate it higher, still between a 3 and 4, due to the disappointing food options.

***CASH ONLY*** This place has got to be one of the neatest places I've been to around Illinois! The place is HUGE! Every time we've been there's been live entertainment, good entertainment! Usually always a pretty big crowd here but the bar moves fast! I've never eaten here but the food smells good? Lol. It's a def must see! Every time I've been it's been a mixed crowd, not everyone is on a motorcycle, not everyone looks like they even ride! Tons of parking and tons of fun! We always spend a few hours here!

I've seen and heard about this place on social media for quite some time. Kept saying we have to check it out. Finally my brother in laws band played there this past Saturday and we rode out from Channahon. Nice ride out and what a cool place. Love the atmosphere and all the old stuff you see at every turn. They were very busy and like I've seen others comment service was great no long wait for a drink and the bartenders are on the ball. Nice selection of beer we ordered a little food that was good. Cool stage area it was nice seeing the band play there I hope they get invited back.

A friend told me of this cool, old grain bin, silo thing that was made into an outside beer garden type bar. So the wife and I jumped on our Victory motercycle and went for a ride to check the place out. 90 miles later we arrived. This place is WAY COOl, what a unique experience! The beers are ice cold and the atmosphere is just cool! They don't take credit or debit cards, just cash and the place is seasonal, as you would expect. I will definitely be back to the Silo.

Great food , great atmosphere & really affordable food & beverage. Nice bar & outdoor seating…read more Every thing we had from burgers to apps was great. The only complaint that I didn't share with them was that my Cobb salad came out on a warm / hot plate that must have just came out of a dishwasher. The place was packed on a Saturday night but service and time of food delivery was very quick & our waitress was on her game. Lagunitus beers were 3.73 ....holy mackerel' that along made me want to move here. Will look forward to getting back here .

Never been here before so didnt know what to expect, unfortunately cant say it was the best experience. Got x2 Mozzarella sticks which were both slightly burnt and tasted a bit off, but weren't too bad. Also got fries - which were soggy and a bit cold. Then i got a "Medium Rare" burger which is my fault as i didnt know how they cook their burgers there so i cant fully blame them but it was disappointing and straight up disgusting. Spent $11 on a burger i couldnt even eat because it was straight up raw - called and complained in the nicest way i could explaining how it was raw and i didnt even get my side that costed $2. Lady was kind, again. Not her fault at all for anything. she explained to me how medium rare is supposed to be more on the raw side - which yes i get it. But this wasnt medium rare. It was straight raw. The meat tasted gross and smelted very raw. Looks just like straight up raw ground beef, it fell apart when i barely even touched it. But she said they can get me a new burger and the side when i see them again but unfortunately im not from Sheffield so i couldnt get it again as they are closed the next day and its already almost midnight.. Just saying | was quite disappointed for the price I paid since I couldnt even eat it: (wish i could have been given a refund.

The vibe on a Friday or Saturday night is high energy, happening, and buzzing with lots of the friendly locals of the Joliet area. All of the bartenders are amazingly FUN, FRIENDLY, and quite TALENTED. Especially my main go to bartender named "Danny". Everyone loves Danny, he's the best and the nicest guy ever. Come for the music played via "YouTube" music videos played on a big flat screen TV by request of the customers, the AMAZING HANDMADE CRAFT COCKTAILS, GREAT CRAFTY FOOD DISHES, and the overall ambiance of a1920's speakeasy yet situated in somewhat modern times.

Tin Roof is one of those unassuming places that most people just pass up. For sure it's not fancy. You might be able to catch live music. Cheap and rustic is an accurate way to talk about this bar. It's located outside a small town on the way to Starved Rock. The inside is bigger than it looks and apparently is a great place to listen to local bands or whoever. However most come to get boozed up and complain. It's about $5 for a basic mixer. Whiskey and whatever. Food is also pretty basic. Mostly fried things. It's about $5 to get a basket of Pretzel Bites. These are great to munch on between sips. Food menu is pretty uninteresting to be honest. There's also other fried things like jalapeño poppers and mini tacos. Got a few cheap cocktails and okay munchies out of it. It's located on Route 34 a bit west of Somonauk. The food here actually is shitty but whatever.
