Considering the options around here this may be one of the better places in Geneseo to drink and eat. It's not the best for sure, but it's pretty cheap and clean for the most part. Raelyn's is mostly like a bar that has food too. A few good things to choose from. The prices are okay and you get a lot. After looking around town a bit we came here. It's open for lunch and dinner, and closes awhile between these. That might be annoying but whatever. Came soon after it opened and got seats at the bar. The place seemed a lot cleaner than the other bars in town. It's about $5 for a basic cocktail. Okay prices mostly it seems. Food is mostly meaty but there's some other things to get. It's about $9 for a big portion of Chips And Salsa. A lot even for a couple people to share, so it will be hard to finish. The salsa was kind of runny but had a good spice. Service was PHENOMENAL! Our waitress was Angela, such an angel. It seems every other time I've gone into this restaurant the staff has been subpar. However, Angela invited us in with a totally new atmosphere, dare I say a totally new outlook. I was in town to do some business with the Planning Commission for Geneseo, so I stopped by here for dinner. It was really good. The menu was quite large and so is the drink menu. The place is really clean and that includes the bathrooms. The bartender, Kaitlyn I do believe, was our server and she was just great. I'd have to say pretty disappointing.... We each ordered a "healthy" meal option and were underwhelmed. The iced tea we were served tasted like cigarettes. We sent it back and the waitress knew about it, as others had also ordered before us and complained. Why continue to serve it?? She even said "what a waste." We wanted the daily special of a turkey avocado burger, but were told there was no a avocado. Then why have it on the board?? Again, waitress said to the bartender "we should erase that from the board. Everyone is asking about it." Really?? My club wrap had wilted lettuce. The calzones are ridiculously good, and the last time I was there (6/18/2020) I was served the best fish tacos I've ever had. I met my girlfriend and her family here and I wasn't that impressed. Not that it was bad, it just didn't leave much of an impression. My girlfriend and I both ordered a salad and it seemed like a salad I can make easily at home. The chicken was just like Tyson's precooked diced chicken breast, it just didn't have too much substance to it. The others of our party ordered the calzone or pizza Puff, something like that. We unexpectedly stopped in Genesoa, Illinois. No big-name anything here--restaurants, hotels. . . Nothing. So we googled restaurants and decided to try RaeLynns. We are so glad we did!!! It's covid time and all the staff wore masks,sanitized the tables, paper menus. The food was fairly typical bar food, but really tasty. I had the vegie burger with lettuce,onions, and pickles. And of course the tater tots. Delicious! Crisp and perfectly seasoned. Hubby had the mushroom swiss burger and the mixed vegies. We went to Raelyn's on a whim. I had heard that it was a nicer bar in the area with good food. I was hoping for some wine and an appetizer. My husband was wanting a good burger. I was a little disappointed in the wine selection. They only had Barefoot. It was ok for a cheap glass I guess but not what I had in mind. I ordered the combination appetizer platter. They were very accodomating in substituting more mozzarella sticks for the jalapeño poppers. My husband ordered a Hawaiian burger with home made BBQ chips. He said that the burger was really good. He ordered it medium well and it was still very juicy. He was not a fan of the BBQ seasoning on the chips. He thought that they would have been better plain. My appetizer was good but nothing special. As we sat there, we saw quite a few pizzas go by. The looked really great. The Rubens also looked good. They seemed to have a better beer selection. I think we will come back and try some pizza and a beer. Other reviewers commented that the service was very slow. We didn't think that the service was bad at all. It was pretty busy too. Nice enough bar and the food is decent enough however the staff is extremely lacking. I have amazingly low standards in what I expect out of my servers and with that being said I was shocked. If you don't know how to make an Arnold Palmer just ask. Soup should not be served cold because you're busy talking to other workers. Hamburgers are not cheeseburgers so when a hamburger is ordered do not automatically put cheese on it. Instead of reasonably listening to complaints the owners initial reaction was to ask us to leave, which is fine. Barney's korner tap is just across the street and continues to be the best bar/bar food in town. read more

Honestly, the best of 3 different restaurants I went to while in town. Bar and grill food but excellent! Generous portions, great pricing, service and food. I have been there several times for lunch with coworkers. The beer is good. The food is also good. The problem is with the service. 5 times I have ordered a bacon cheeseburger on a pretzel bun. They successfully delivered it once. Three times they corrected the error. The last time it took an hour to get the wrong order, when I asked for it to be corrected they walked away and didn't even come back to refill my iced tea. read more

Have been here twice and WLL NOT go back. The new owners are so rude and the entire staff is unprofessional. our orders were messed up and they did not do anything to fix it as far as discount and we waited forever for the correct order. the second correct order was what we had initially wanted but was BURNT. after all that they told us they were sorry but they did all they could. customer service is non existant and their servings are quite scrimpy even if they could get them right. REALLY??? go home Andrea if you can't learn to be a nicer person and better host and stop being so arrogant and pretentious. your restaurant will not be around long at all. read more

Nice place however I don't think I got the best of this place on my first visit. Read the reviews and thought, let's try it. Our server had a great personality, but.... my diet soda was more carbonation and weak on the mix, so I opted for the water, not her fault. Ordered chips and salsa for the app, but never got them, so I can't tell you about the taste. My wife ordered the Hawaiian burger and said it was tasty, I ordered the calzone with sausage and ham. The presentation of the calzone was great with a good crust, however after I cut into it they forgot the sausage, and they almost...almost put some ham in it. I swear it was less then a half a slice of lunch meat diced up. So I ended up with a big chunk of mozzarella with crust. I did bring this to the servers attention and they did offer to make another calzone but I didn't want to wait any longer, so they reduced the cost of the calzone, so I reduced the tip by 50%, and I think I still tipped too much, but my wife did enjoy her meal. First impressions are everything, I won't be back, I'll go to the Cellar restaurant up the road where the steaks are awesome!!! read more

I have eaten at Raelyn's pub a couple of times. Located in Geneseo IL, this restaurant didn't disappoint. The building itself was located in the downtown portion of the town in a historical area. I loved the exposed brick and chic lighting. Very inviting space. The FOOD was really good. I had the pleasure of trying different items on the menu, all which were good. My favorite was the bbq burger! The menu had some unique items on it for a pub which I liked and showed charisma. I gave it four stars because the service, to me, was lacking consistency. The first time we were there we weren't seated for a very long time (about 30 minutes) and were ignored at our table for another 15 minutes. I'm a die hard "foodie" so we stuck it out because we heard this place was good! We went back for the food plain and simple hoping that it was just an error with the staff. The next time after that was fine, but the third time the waitress was rude. So I don't know. Maybe they have new wait staff by now.. Overall, good food! read more

I worked construction for 50 year's, I eat out a lot,on the road, and it's the worst service, wrong drinks cold soup,and when we mention it to the owner, she asked us to leave!
