I've used Beek's for the last 5 years whenever I have a problem with my van. Today I went in because I thought (someone had said also) that a brake line was severed. Beek's told me it was not the brake line, but the cable for emergency brake(and since my van is ancient, and an automatic, they said to let it be). Also I had noticed fluid leaking from the Steering Box(and it was!). They told me to keep an eye on the fluid level and keep it topped off. Total charge - $19.71, which is what - 15 minutes labor charge? So many mechanics get a bad wrap and some deserve it - it would have been very easy for a dishonest one to tell me I needed several hundred dollars of work done. My 2004 Land Rover Discovery recently needed a head gasket repair, along with a few other repairs. Derrick and Kim were very friendly and let me know up front that they wouldn't be able to get to my car right away as they had other dedicated customer's cars in before mine. I now understand why there was a wait and if I ever break down in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to bring my car back to Beek's Auto again. My local dealership was ready to charge me MUCH more than what Beek's charged for the same work. A few weeks after the work was complete, I noticed what appeared to be a leak from the gaskets, so Kim told me to bring the car in. Not only did they fix the leak that turned out wasn't coming from the gasket, but I also wasn't charged for the repair. Granted, the leak (from a loose fitting) was related to the head gasket repair, but how many shops do you know of that will tell you the truth when it comes to repairs and then not charge you for it? He rebuilt my Alfa Romeo engine completely, and stood by his work, when wrong rings were furnished to him.
