Unfortunately, once I became a member, the experience deteriorated quickly. I dealt with repeated billing errors, including being double charged, and it took multiple days and multiple communication channels to get basic issues addressed. The checkout process was consistently disorganized. One massage table wobbled throughout sessions, and a treatment room red light emitted a loud buzzing noise. I also witnessed spa supplies being washed in a public bathroom, which raises hygiene concerns. When I canceled and requested a prorated refund for the unused portion of my membership, the owner agreed in writing to a specific refund amount and even provided a payment schedule. After partial payment was made, that agreement was reversed, the refund was reframed as a "courtesy," and the remaining balance was denied. After I had clearly and repeatedly requested that communication remain in writing and that I not be contacted by phone, the owner called and texted me anyway. A voicemail was left that felt deeply personal and accusatory, attacking my character and invoking spiritual language in what felt like an attempt to shame me rather than address the business matter professionally. That experience was particularly distressing and inappropriate. The way this was handled operationally, financially, and personally was extremely disappointing and did not reflect the professionalism or integrity I expected when committing to a membership. I would strongly discourage anyone considering this "bespoke" spa & to be prepared for significant challenges when issues arise.

She is a teacher to her core, and gently guides you when you need correction in posture, without distracting from her flow. She genuinely cares for her clients and creates a class that is both welcoming and challenging. I've been to many yoga studios over the years and it is hard to find an instructor who can challenge your muscles without sacrificing the calm, or who isn't just plain weird. After I felt so calm and ready to take on anything that came my way, which significantly helped with my ability to be in the moment for the wedding and let go of control of all the logistics (something I struggle with). All our family in attendance loved the class, including my Mother In Law that is a yoga teacher herself. If you are considering taking her class or having her lead one at your event, do it! We also have been working with Jessie on resilient relationship coaching. It has been very helpful so far in deepening our understanding of each other, supporting each others personal growth, and improving the communication issues we have struggled with over the years. It can be very hard for me to be vulnerable in front of others, but Jessie creates a loving and accepting space that makes it possible to be open and honest in our sessions. Since we are not in the area, we have been able to do the sessions via Zoom, which has been very convenient. Our experience with Jessie has been very positive and we would both highly recommend her to anyone looking for officiating, coaching, or yoga. We drove two hours to come paddle boarding, so I was extremely disappointed when we could not find the location. When I called the number, the owner informed me that the website was not supposed to sell tickets because they are closed on the weekend. Despite this website error, she sensed the disappointment in my voice and agreed to rent a couple of boats out to me anyway! I knew that there was nothing to lose- only knowledge and experience to gain! Shawna right off the bat was super communicative, called me to give me the meeting address specifically. Easy to find, in a warm welcoming neighborhood in Lakehead. We walked down to the shore (very short, less than an 1/8 of a mile) to a paddle board waiting for me on the shoreline. We had a private lesson- so we had time to connect and chat, completely embracing the lake around us and feeling out our boards together. When we began our practice, she was SO patient, SO instructive, and SO supportive. Being an inspiring yogi myself, it's so comforting to have instructors that really know their craft and be able to teach it to others. Admirable at the least. Overall a Wonderful experience, lots of laughs mixed with a very knowledgeable practice. Would 10/10 recommend for anyone looking to try something new, with friends or by yourself!
