We called several places hoping to find a last-minute appointment and were so happy to discover Rose Mountain Sanctuary, a hidden gem in the heart of Redding. Hillary was incredibly kind and was able to accommodate us for a last-minute 90-minute couples massage. Our experience began on the beautiful patio, where we were offered drinks while enjoying the breathtaking views of the Sacramento River and the Sundial Bridge. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind before our treatments. The entire sanctuary was clean, peaceful, and welcoming. We were then brought into the lounge, where we were given spa slippers and relaxed with Red Light Infrared Therapy and vibrating foot massagers. After that, we were taken to the treatment room to try the HigherDOSE Sauna Blanket, which was a first for both of us. We later returned to the lounge for more Red Light Infrared Therapy and a refreshing cold-water foot bath to help cool down our feet and bodies. Our massages were wonderful. Hillary was my massage therapist, and Hailey took care of my mom. I especially appreciated how Hillary regularly checked to make sure the pressure was comfortable. She also included facial steaming, red light therapy, a light body scrub on my back, and sound therapy at the end. All these thoughtful extras made the experience feel much more special than a typical massage appointment. Rose Mountain Sanctuary offers many other unique wellness services, including Japanese scalp massage, holistic facials, somatic therapy, sound healing, and buccal massage. During our conversation, Hillary also mentioned that she is looking into offering hot yoga in the future, which I'm especially excited about because I enjoy hot yoga myself! You can truly see how much care and heart Hillary has put into creating this beautiful and relaxing space. She was so kind and welcoming throughout our visit. I sincerely hope Rose Mountain Sanctuary continues to grow and expand because Redding is fortunate to have a place like this. We're so happy we found Rose Mountain Sanctuary and will definitely return whenever we're in town. The entire experience was peaceful, relaxing, and unique. I highly recommend giving them a try!

I've been to many yoga studios over the years and it is hard to find an instructor who can challenge your muscles without sacrificing the calm, or who isn't just plain weird. Silke is fantastic and I highly recommend her classes.

She seems very defensive and harsh. Not what you want when you want to relax. It seems like if you suggest something you may like and it's not exactly the way she wants it, she can not hear it. After a discussion about the services she offered, we did a lap around the expo to discuss our thoughts and both agreed Jessie felt like the right fit for our wedding. We immediately returned and booked her for our desired date, which was the first reservation we made for our wedding (even before the venue!). I am so glad we did! Jessie has been amazing to work with. She is so kind and communicative. She wrote us a beautiful ceremony that really fit us and our wants. She gave great options for things that we could include in the ceremony if we wanted and even created a special hand blessing for us based on a different tradition we had mentioned we thought was cool. I loved that she kept some of the ceremony script a surprise until the ceremony itself as it made it feel even more special and impactful to me. We invited Jessie to stay for the remainder of our wedding, and she fit right in with our family and friends. She added a lot of positive energy and love to a magical day. Our guests all loved her and made many positive comments about her ceremony and her as a person. In addition to officiating, we also asked Jessie to lead a morning yoga class on the morning of the wedding. Again, we are so happy we did! I enjoy yoga but don't do it as frequently as I should, and I was on the fence about attending because I was starting to get stressed about wedding logistics. I decided to go, and it was exactly what I needed. Her class was appropriate for all levels, so I didn't feel pressured to do something that was too difficult. Those who are more advanced had options to do things at their level too. After I felt so calm and ready to take on anything that came my way, which significantly helped with my ability to be in the moment for the wedding and let go of control of all the logistics (something I struggle with). All our family in attendance loved the class, including my Mother In Law that is a yoga teacher herself. If you are considering taking her class or having her lead one at your event, do it! We also have been working with Jessie on resilient relationship coaching. It has been very helpful so far in deepening our understanding of each other, supporting each others personal growth, and improving the communication issues we have struggled with over the years. It can be very hard for me to be vulnerable in front of others, but Jessie creates a loving and accepting space that makes it possible to be open and honest in our sessions. Since we are not in the area, we have been able to do the sessions via Zoom, which has been very convenient. Our experience with Jessie has been very positive and we would both highly recommend her to anyone looking for officiating, coaching, or yoga. In fact, I have already recommended her coaching to a family member.

I knew that there was nothing to lose- only knowledge and experience to gain! Shawna right off the bat was super communicative, called me to give me the meeting address specifically. Easy to find, in a warm welcoming neighborhood in Lakehead. We walked down to the shore (very short, less than an 1/8 of a mile) to a paddle board waiting for me on the shoreline. We had a private lesson- so we had time to connect and chat, completely embracing the lake around us and feeling out our boards together. When we began our practice, she was SO patient, SO instructive, and SO supportive. Being an inspiring yogi myself, it's so comforting to have instructors that really know their craft and be able to teach it to others. Admirable at the least.
