This is a great hidden gem in Woodbridge for families with Toddlers. They can run around freely! Great way for home school kids to interact with other toddlers their age. The kids ran and played with no care in the world. AND they had front row seating for parents to oversee the playtime. I am glad we found a place closer than DC area to allow toddlers to enjoy. Beehive in Woodbridge has gone down hill in the last year: Pros: It does not have surge pricing on Fridays. Cons: - It opens at 10am - It was dirty, it had not been vacuumed recently - The Air hockey table was still down - The ball shooter area was still down and nothing had replaced it. - Some of the protective foam padding was falling down and was unsafe. Good option for when it's too cold or rainy outside. Seemed a bit dirty for an indoor playground despite most if not all following rules for taking off shoes in the play area. The food area didn't seem to have a lot of hot options available when I visited though there was a menu for it. Unless I missed where others were, I only saw two restrooms so if more than two needed a toilet, there was a line. I was able to use the wifi to get a bit of work done with no problem. Took our 2 year old daughter here to enjoy some play. They have a bunch of different areas kids can explore and play. They have a good variety of bounce houses/ Adventure type bounce houses. Nice play for kids to play and get there energy out. Be sure you wear or bring socks because they don't allow shoes inside. Overall I think this is a nice place to take kids however I didn't really see any cleaning protocols while we were there. The manager (Michelle) is rude and heard her use curse words.. I found a nail on the floor. I asked for the company headquarters contact information and phone number the manager said she could not give it to me, but I could give her MY information. I'm asking for FOIA for the company. Also only had 1 bathroom open (on a Saturday), but I seen at least 3 (2 locked that I tried). There were 2 young ladies that were very kind (can't remember their names one had a name that started with an "I" and the other a "P") but the young lady at cars name started with a "P" made my daughter (who is autistic) feel so special. My daughter was scared and this young lady helped her letting her know she some of the same fears and that is why she is here. This was back in February, I even asked the young lady if call me to do one on one home care (I offered her $17 an hour) she said this was her job. New to the area, I found this indoor playground on Yelp, but unfortunately, my kids, ages 6 and 4, caught hand, foot, and mouth disease right after visiting. Both had to go to urgent care and were sick for a whole week. Thankfully, my daughter recovered just before school started. The playground is large, but it's clear they don't do a good job cleaning. The bathroom was disgusting, many of the little kitchen toys were broken, and there was hair and trash in the corners of the bounce house. We went around 3 PM, and there were only about 10 kids there. Whole playground was full of cooking smell from their cafe. The prices are affordable, but I definitely won't be taking my kids back. read more

My son had a great time. We're from San Diego and been to a handful of indoor playgrounds there and this one definitely is up there! We went on a weekday, only a handful of other kids there with their adults. The place seems pretty clean, and has lots of inflatables and things to do. My son is 2 and he was able to do a majority of everything. The area isn't the best however. Lots of panhandling in the parking lot which made me feel uncomfortable. The girl at the front desk was cold and didn't say much or greet us. She just got us checked in and charged us, didn't even look us in the face. They had beverages and snacks for sale. This place is pretty awesome for young kids, I found this place on yelp and took my 1 yr old and 4 yr old there. Based on the reviews, I heard that they recently remodeled and so I wanted to see what was so good about it. Boy, I was impressed. The outside doesn't look like much but once you go in, it really is pretty awesome. It's fairly large with lots of activities to keep them busy for one hr and 45 min. I liked how they had trampolines to shooting foam balls, bumper cars, and large bouncy houses. My son really liked the little cars that you can sit on and ride on. Everyone has their shoes off including the adults and the bathrooms are clean. The prices are reasonable and affordable. Def. will recommend this place. read more

AWESOME indoor playground! One of the best in the Northern Virginia area and we've been everywhere. Even my husband was impressed and he usually doesn't express an opinion on anything. It is a very large space with something for every age (and not just one token lame play area for the littlest ones). There are so many options for play and unlike some places that specialize in moon bounces or trampolines, here you get it all: the climbing areas, blow up bounce houses and trampolines plus more (see pics). My 2 and 4 year old were both entertained the entire time. I think the age range would peak at about age 10 (my oldest), but there is a video game area which I assume would appeal to older kids as well (for extra cost). The price is also very reasonable. We pay twice as much for our second-favorite indoor playground now that my youngest is 2. They limited the time to an hour and a half but a lot of places do that and that's a good amount of time for my kids, anyway. They came out sweating and happy and even the 2 year old was saying she had "so much fun!" There is plenty of parking because it is in a shopping center. They have two family bathrooms in the front with changing tables, etc. The only thing we didn't try was the food (probably would have if we had stayed longer). Lastly, I like how there is a sign with the recommended age for every play area/feature and the wrist bands are color coded accordingly. I'm happy I drove only 20 minutes to get here because I was left less than impressed. I have a crawler/semi-walker and it was $7.95 for 90 minutes. This is my first time visiting an indoor playground with a time limit. My son is young and typically takes about 45-60 minutes to warm up to a place so this left us only about 30 minutes to play. Needless to say, he was pretty angry when we had to leave because he was just getting started. Another reason for my 2-star rating is simply their policy. My son LOVES the big slides but cannot go down alone. Everywhere else we have gone there has been 0 issue with me riding down with him. AT BeeHive, however, I was scolded immediately. Well that took away the thing my baby loves most. He also wanted to go in the moon bounce but was petrified to go alone and, again, I could not go in with him. My son loves trampolines too and it was gone during this visit. The toddler area is super-lame and most of the toys do not work. Also, this area should be monitored because several older children (as in at least 7 or 8 years old) were going in and taking the toys. Staff should be more concerned about this than me going down a slide with my son. What I did like was the fact it was not crowded, but after visiting I see why it was not crowded given there are much better indoor playgrounds a short drive away. We will not be back. read more

Its hard to see the sign to BeeHive but its located in the the Food lion shopping center. I came here for a kids 5th birthday with my nephew who is only 18 months. Party rooms are on the left side and the rest of the space is filled with bounce houses and activity areas for smaller children. The kids had a great time running from one bounce house to the next but we stayed in the smaller kid sections a majority of the time. They have every toy and block set you can think of. Improvements have been made since the BeeHive first opened and we are pleased with the results. Likes: A good variety of equipment for kiddos of all ages to play on. We like the inflatables, trampolines, blue foam building blocks, and even the area for the smaller babies. BeeHive is clean, well lit and spacious. We like the cubby area for shoes/bags and there are a few restrooms with changing tables available. While we have never eaten at the cafe, it's a nice option. During the week this is the perfect place for families with small kids to bring them for a safe place to explore and play. Dislikes: The concrete floor is slippery and with socks being a requirement, we found there to be a few close calls with running kids slipping and falling. Perhaps adding a textured surface would be an option? Heads up, military families! There is a discount available but you'll need to ask. read more

Enjoy the facility but the safety check out procedure is concerning to me! I have been to Bee Hive on multiple occasions and have NEVER had anyone check our wrist bands when leaving. If the security wrist band is a service they claim to offer it should be done 100% of the time with NO exceptions! My last experience upon arrival for a birthday party was checked in and were given wrist bands w/numbers on them. I had brought 3 of my neighbors kids with me plus my son, so my wrist band had each of the kids wrist band numbers written on it. The girl at check in told me we all would all need to show our wrist bands and would need to leave together to exit. Upon leaving our wrist bands were never checked and I walked out with 4 children. I always keep a very close eye on my son but with multiple children was hard to keep track of all of them. Would be nice if I could chat with other parents without having to keep a constant watch over the kids knowing they would not be allowed to exit w/out me. This does not stop me from visiting but always follow my son or sit right by the exit durning a busy times. The faculty itself is always well kept, kids have a blast and we love the new play space added to the facility. Staff is questionable depending on the day. Sometimes members go above and beyond. Other times they are checked out, requiring us to hunt someone down multiple times if we want to use the bumper cars, games in the back room or have a question. read more

They're only allowing one parent in the place with a child because of covid, or you can pay extra for the 2nd parent. I didn't know covid only affects the poor and doesn't go after people who pay extra. Places like these take advantage of any situation and people to make extra cash. read more

We came here with great recommendations by lot of people. It was good size for toddlers, plenty of things to entertain children, and okay on the cleanliness. Moon bounces, shopping carts, and all that stuff is fun. They have little cubes for clothes and belongings. few shoes slots. However, I was little disappointed how kids are forced to take off their shoes to walk on the carpet yet parents aren't required to. Lot of these kids play on the carpet with their socks... I can't cope why parents aren't required to take off their dirty shoes. I took it to the management however they said "decision was made because several parents brought up the issue of not wanting to take off their shoes off on the carpet..." okay-knowing you're coming to the indoor playground 1) wear clean socks 2) wash your feet of your sensitive about your BO. Other than that, I suppose it's a good alternative to keep the kids active and entertained during cold season. read more

This place is great for kids especially during the winter when it may not be warm enough to play outside. I've come once before COVID and during COVID. Now, with COVID, you have to make reservations. Kids have an hour and a half to play. Everyone over the age of 5 has to wear a mask. I'm assuming the play time intervals gives Beehive staff time to sanitize the place. The kids had a good time in the bounce house and driving the bumper cars. The youngest really enjoyed the tall slide. Taking them to the Beehive is a great way for them to exercise while having fun. read more

Listen , beehive would be a great place to host a birthday party with a bunch of kids or even just two kids old enough to properly entertain each other! But as far as taking one young child here on a rainy day when you can't play outside, i do not recommend it. You are not allowed to go through any of the courses with your child as an adult. You are expected to just watch your child play on the sideline while they ask you to come play with them. What a cute place! Been surprised since moving to northern Virginia at how few kids places there were around. Beehive opened about a month ago so it's exceptionally clean. A few decent sized bounce houses and a small area with bumper cars my kids couldn't get enough of. I thought the prices were very reasonable. There are several options for types of access that are listed on their website as well as inside. They get 90 minutes of play per ticket. Most places like this charge much more and for only an hour. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the exit. You leave out the flea market next door which is odd. read more

Two stars only because this is a fun place for kids and my children had fun. We've been twice. First time a parent had brought their sick child in. How do I know they were sick? Coughing, runny nose, sneezing the works. Masks aren't required or if they are it wasn't enforced for parents. However after our last recent visit our son very quickly came down with a virus that is only contagious DURING a fever. Now, according to our doctor the incubation for this virus is 5-15 days so it could've been from the first visit. He's not in daycare yet, we don't take him anywhere else where he interacted with kids (virus most common between 6m-3years) so we've been able to confirm this is where he contracted it. We're also led to believe our son most likely isn't the only one who got sick. It took two urgent care visits, a high fever for 3 days and full 4 days of a rash after for him to now be a few days "recovered." This place is NOT doing enough to check the temperatures of kids or parents especially given that we JUST now are coming out of a pandemic. And also how irresponsible of a parent to take their kid to a facility like this before they're fully recovered. I know daycare brings its own set of illnesses, but we won't be back. It's clear they care more about making their money than their "protocols." read more

AMAZING place to take the kids! There's so much to do and so many toys for them to play with. Definitly worth going to at least once with your kids. There are many pricing levels on the website, but when you arrive, I think they just price according to how old they think your child is. I've gone three times, and I'm never asked how old they are. There were only two cons 1. I think they should enforce socks on EVERYONE. It clearly states everywhere that its a sock only area, but adults are allowed to wear shoes as long as they don't go into the moon bounces. My kids socks are ALWAYS dirty after playing because of this. This is such a great place parents will definitly wear socks or buy them if Bee Hive would just adamatly enforce the rule. No socks, no play.  2. Its not a con of the business, but with other parents. WATCH YOUR DAMN KIDS! Maybe its the area bee hive is in, idk? I had a kid bump into my niece and catch himself by stepping on her face, another one shoved my other niece down the slide, I saw a little girl SCREAMING and crying daddy for a good five minutes before an employee came and got her, and a newborn in a stroller was left completely ALONE for five minutes. I kept an eye on her from afar.. There are signs everywhere that the entire area is unsupervised so the employees will not be watching. NONE of the parents were around to scold their kids for being too rough with other children. I suggest coming on a weekday when there's not too many kids. Be sure to also check their website on the day you plan on going. They often have private parties and announce when they're going to close early on the website. There is a restaurant with about 5 or so tables but I haven't tried the food. The bathrooms are also super clean for having so many kids! read more

For rainy days when you need to get your kids out the house to burn off energy, this place comes in handy. It's pretty clean indoors. Someone mentioned it would be nice to have someone at each station. Well I agree. I think there should be atleast one person monitoring each section for safety reasons. The price is a bit high but I think for rainy days when there is nothing to do outside or the kids are bored, this is the place to take them. The staff to me has always been friendly. I've been here more than 3 times and have no complaints with the staff. My recommendations: Feed your kids before you go and keep water handy so you dont have to spend more money there. Keep it in a small bag. If you are a single mom with 2 kids with a 3 to 4 year age gap between the kids, bring an adult friend with you to help watch your kids. It can be overwhelming if you are a parent who has to keep an eye on your kid always no matter what. Give your kids a good bath when you get home from leaving this place. Horrible place. Empty sanitizers. Dirty toys. Dirty place. Horrible service. We came 40-45 minutes before closing. They just told us we are about to close and we said it's fine. None of the workers mentioned that they start literally CLOSING every play area and cleaning 30 MINUTES before closing. Why was that not mention to us until we gave them our money?! Bunch of thieves. Until we paid and went inside. The only place was the slides, moon bounce, foam blocks and some climbing things. My kids barely got to enjoy anything and we paid too much for what it was worth. There were so many other things. I've been to HyperKidz in Ashburn and JollyYolly in Fairfax, way better service, cleaning, friendlier/professional staff (better at HyperKidz) and even if you come last minute before closing. They let you play with everything and don't close off anything until closing time. It's absolutely ridiculous that BeeHive does this with dirty equipment and toys. Too many rules . We paid $35 for a 22 month old and 10 month and extra $5 for the third adult. Ridiculous pricing and no discount given. We complained to staff and they just smiled... absolutely unprofessional. This place will go out of business. Mark my word. Don't waste your time coming here with your babies and go to HyperKidz or at least JollyYolly. Way cleaner, they ACTUALLY CLOSE AT THEIR GIVEN TIME and not start closing every single play area 30 minutes before. read more

We've been going to Beehive for nearly a year. My daughter loves the moon bounces and all the entertainment they offer, however, I'm not very happy that there're iPads in the play area. Kids nowadays are overexposed to screens and the main purpose of a playground is to get exercise for children, not to play games on iPads. I have previously complained to the owner to no avail.
