My wife and I went in here for the first time because of the high yelp review. To say we were pleased is an understatement, the food was amazing and the environment and staff was friendly and inviting. You could tell this was a family owned restaurant and that they truly enjoyed owning it and serving customers. The one thing I couldn't believe is that for such great food the bill was surprisingly cheap. We had an appetizer, I had 2 beers, she had one and we both had dinners and the bill was $40. We "yelped" Beefside and we were not disappointed. We shared a beef sandwich and a Reuben. Both were excellent. We also shared onion rings and fried mushrooms, also very good. The mushrooms were whole and juicy on the inside of the breading. The wait staff was not only very friendly but also very helpful. Called at about 8 p.m. for 2 fish and chips dinners to go. It was just about 14/15 dollars for TWO dinners. It was so good. I don't frequently like fish, but when I want some, I get some. This place was fabulous, food was ready in 10 minutes, really great location. Fish was cooked really well, the batter was a bit soft for me on the inside but crunchy on the outside. My mom loved it how it was, so no points lost. The fries were wicked tasty but my mom hated them. They tasted so different but they were awesome. They have plenty of other food to choose from, but how can one pass a delicious burger, cheese steak or reuben with a healthy portion of fries or onion rings. Stopped in after a long day leaf peeping on Kankamagus. Very casual place with many families. Had the barbecue sampler with pulled pork, ribs and brisket smoked on site. Great smoky flavor and big portions with very tasty barbecue sauce . Beer battered fries were exceptionally crispy. Sweet and moist cornbread came with the meal. Shared a snickers pie which was also very good even though we were stuffed. Can't comment on the rest of the menu as we all had some version of smoked meats from the sampler. Went here for lunch on 12-5-15, this place served great quick food. We got right in and were seated very quickly. The place is a little tight when we had to add a high chair but I'm learning all restaurants become tight when you add a high chair. I had a Black Russian sandwich and it was great. Went here with two other people. Two of us ordered the super roast beef, while one person ordered the prime rib sandwich. The two of us who ordered the roast beef enjoyed our entrees while the third person who ordered the prime rib sandwich did not. We also ordered a side of onion rings (which were delicious). Beefside is always ON. I have never had a bad meal at Beefside. It is consistantly good food, the staff has been the same for years, you get your food in a speedy manner, and it is GOOD! I am not a huge fan of beef, but Beefside has OUTSTANDING roast beef and fantastic prime rib! The chicken is just as good and their BBQ sauces are stellar. I've driven past this place often and we decided to try it out on a Sunday night. The joint was very busy, good sign. Menus are on the wall so we could check it out during our 20 minute wait for a party of 5. Prices are very modest, staff was friendly. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, and potato skins as an appetizer. The family all got seafood and the 4 year old a hot dog. The potato skins we ok at best..kinda not cooked enough and the wrong type of cheese. The pulled pork was again, "ok" nothing special. Fries tasted like the same fryer as the seafood was used. The family enjoyed their meals, the best part about the Beefside tonight was our waitress. She was on top of everything and awesome! All the little things were great which is hard to find these days. Beefside is our favorite place to eat steak n cheese, roast beef, brisket and anything meat. They have the most consistent food you will ever eat. I would recommend a cup of chili and a steak n cheese. You will be hard pressed to go anywhere else! Highly recommended! read more

We are long time customers and enjoy the brisket omelet as well as the hot wings. We love the staff - real and efficient. The only bad thing I can say is that my grandson, who has lots of allergies, couldn't be fed for breakfast (can't eat dairy, nuts etc) and we couldn't get anything off the grill (like a burger or fries). However I had an issue there where a waitress didn't process my card right and I ended up paying for someone elses meal including my own. OH MY G-O-S-H. I have to admit I never really liked rost beef, but once you have Beefside you almost have your whole perspective of meat changed. Let's just say it's amazing and succulent and juicy and savory and... I could go on forever. Their lunch and dinner menus are almost the same except for the average BLT, but the breakfast menu is different. It has lots of different omelets and pancake-like choices, but the actual normal buttermilk pancakes are not very good. Here's why: they are very crispy, a pancake should be light and airy. We found ourselves on Manchester street in Concord on Saturday morning hungry and with time on our hands waiting for our car to be serviced at the Subaru dealer a short walk away. And since it had been 3 years since we tried breakfast at the Beefside we decided to give them another chance to show how much they improved. During the last 15 years we tried Beefside 3 times for breakfast. Each of those times it was an awful experience. As you (the reader) could see by our one star rating Beefside has not improved at all during the last 15 years. It might have even gotten worse! The pancakes tasted like they might have been purchased frozen and heated up in the toaster. I don't know if that is the case, but this was how they looked and tasted. We ordered eggs over medium and one egg was under-cooked while the other was overcooked. The English muffin was so lightly toasted it basically was NOT toasted. The home fries were deep fried and had no seasoning at all. We don't know for sure but it appears that they were potatoes that were a pre-cut and frozen product. Like most people who go out for breakfast we had not eaten a thing since the previous night so we were too hungry to send the food back and get in the que for another go at it by the cooks. When we paid our bill the cashier asked if everything was OK. I replied with raised eyebrows as if to say..."Well....Not really". She replied, "Sorry.....". As if to say, "yeah...I know....." I remarked that it was ok and we would try them again in a few years. Is Concord ever going to have a great place for breakfast where fresh tasting food can be expertly prepared and severed to hungry local people? We are still looking for that place. Till them we hope the owners will care more about the food they serve and show more respect for the dining public by hiring cooks with more skill and more pride in their work. When we want a great breakfast cooked by people who care about the food they serve we we to The Purple Finch in Bedford. For all of those people who accept a low standard such as Beefside offers we say, when you patronize mediocre "They'll eat anything" restaurants like Beefside you get what you deserve. I have only been here a few times but I really like their food. Their tap water tastes like the typical concord city water but I got lemonade last time so I dont really mind haha. Their corn chowder was so delicious and their fries are cooked really well. It is small but its priced great and it worth going even if it is busy when you go. read more

The food was great! I ordered the BBQ sampler plate and it was awesome. The meat fell right off the bone as I ate the ribs and the cornbread was perfect. I can barely get out of my seat after eating. They have booth seating and a TV. I definitely recommend anyone to try this place. read more

Rating is based on our experience for breakfast. We were seated quickly and server responded promptly. Coffee was good. Food came quickly. Everything except the home fries was very good. Home fries have some sweet and slightly spicy sauce on them (spicy ketchup). They were horrible and not what you expect to get on home fries. Servers or menu should tell you this or sauce should be on side. Also we asked about types of bread when we were asked what kind of toast we wanted since this was not on the menu. We all picked Texas toast and then found out when we got our bill that the Texas toast was at an additional cost. Not a lot of money, but again should be on the menu or the server should tell you. The price is very reasonable. Atmosphere leaves something to be desired. Small and one side is country setting and other is sports setting. Would go again, but definitely have other places in the area we like better. read more

I came to Beefside for my birthday dinner with my mom and boyfriend with my decision based on Yelp reviews. I was sorely disappointed. I ordered the onion rings, because they were supposed to be the best I ever tasted, while they were edible, they were far from delicious. I ordered a steak tip dinner. I had to wait for 10-15 minutes to catch my servers attention to ask for sauces. I am used to KC's Rib Shack in Manchester that gives you an array of tasty sauces. She looked at me like I had 2 heads and offered A1. When I finally did get to eat my steak tips, every single piece had a vein or fat in them. I ate a few and filled up on baked potato instead. My mom got a roast beef and she said Arby's is better. My boyfriend got a steak and cheese sub and although he ate it and didn't' complain, he did note that it was dry and flavourless. I will not be going here again and I would not recommend it to a friend and I am now less likely to try a restaurant based on a Yelp review. read more
