We were very warmly greeted by a gentleman who I think must be an owner or major stakeholder. He gave us a quick history of the place and was fast to recommend the prime rib po boy sandwich. We ordered one to split, and it came with seasoned fries. The sandwich came out quickly, and the meat was tender with just the right amount of slightly spicy horseradish sauce. Yum. I definitely want to come back for the signature prime rib on a Friday or Saturday. That meatloaf sounds tempting too, and the brisket mac and cheese caught my eye. If you are looking to try a meat that your local market doesn't carry (think bison, swordfish, etc) or just looking for a nice steak or pack of chicken, the options are diverse so you can let your mind run loose as you walk around looking over the offerings. The meat was a little steep in price, but believe me, once it was on the grill...... it didn't matter. Overall their merchandise is in line, pricewise, with what it should be. I will say, that after going to El Rancho right after, you can see the drastic difference in the two Mexican grocery stores. This is more like a mom and pop type run place, while El Rancho is closer in line to the large chains but with the ethnic flair to it. I still plan to patronize both places. This location is a little hard to find if you don't know where along the 35 service road it is. Look for A Better Tattoo right out in front, it's right there in the strip mall.
