Getting to the commissary is a little confusing since it's all the way back in town, but once you get to the main gate and show proper ID to get base access, it is very easily accessible. There is a large parking lot for parking, and this place isn't usually crowded like the other bases in the states. Due to the fact that it doesn't get too crowded, the hours are adjusted accordingly to accommodate the staffs operating hours. They basically have everything you need when shopping at a store at a lower price and, of course, tax-free! I will admit some items are cheaper out in town and then again some isn't so it's all how you shop and bargain. I will say you can't beat the deals on meats like chicken thighs, wings, and pork. As for the produce, I will admit that out in town is definitely cheaper. They also have the commissary brand named " Freedom," which is their generic brand, and they usually have great deals on those items as well. Even with the commissary prices and no tax here, some of these great benefits of shopping here won't leave a dent in your wallet. There is a small service charge fee you will notice on the receipt, but it's nothing big.

I will never understand how any base commissary gets low stars. This place is the best!! Who doesn't love olive oil?…read more My mom and I decided to stop in because why not, and now I'm wondering why I haven't been in before. We were immediately greeted by Charles who was wonderful, told us how everything works, and showed us the layout. There's a ton of wonderful olive oils of different intensities, some infused with flavors like basil, lemon, garlic... some that are spicy.. and then all kinds of balsamic vinegars as well. There's also pasta made from scratch, olives and tapenade, gourmet jellies, etc. Cookbooks, beautiful cutting boards, salt blocks. And there's also a whole line of bath & body goodies made from their olive oils. Soaps, lotions, lip balm, body butter, and more. Everything looks and smells so good! I was thrilled to see several gluten free pasta options, and the best part is they cost the same as the traditional. That never happens!! I bought two bags (only $8.50 each) and I cannot wait to cook and eat them. I picked out a few gifts for my aunt (shop local, people), including a small bottle of basil infused olive oil for only $14 and a beautiful lemon linguine. Staff will get samples for you if you want to taste anything, and they'll also fill up your bottle of oil or vinegar for you. Everyone was wearing masks and using hand sanitizer. I already have ideas for more gifts I want to get, so I'll definitely be back soon. And if anyone wants to be buy ME a present, I'd loce pretty much anything from this shop!

You truly cannot find this level of quality in any other type of store. They bottle what you select on site. Many of the olive oils are flavored with various spices from cardamom to cayenne. Likewise for the Balsamics. I am a purist, and addicted to the traditional balsamic vinegar, aged 18 years. My wife loves the Santorini oregano white balsamic vinegar. There are very few places where you can find a robust olive oil, but they have them here, and they are worth a taste.
