They also served halo-halo, a popular Filipino shaved ice dessert layered with sweet fruits, jellies, beans, and topped with creamy ingredients. The Bavarian cream was hands-down my absolute favorite--the texture and sweetness were perfect. The mango flavor didn't have quite as much filling as I hoped for, but honestly, the malasada dough itself is so incredibly delicious, fluffy, and perfectly fried that it didn't even matter. What I appreciate most is that they clearly use their own unique recipe. They aren't trying to just copy Leonard's or Kamehameha Bakery; they're doing their own awesome thing and killing it. #IYKYK Can't wait to get these again!
