I'm on the fence about Aldi, their stock is hit or miss. I hate the whole coin thing with the buggies. I will say what they do have is reasonably priced. If your not looking for anything in particular and just shopping ALDI is fun. If youre looking for specific things it just doesnt work here. read more

We normally go to this store because it's one of the ones that are nearest to us but we're going to rethink coming here Today, Sunday, June 14 I stopped in for a few things and when I went to check out, there were two lines and I let a woman in a hijab go ahead of me because she only had two things. I guess that line was closed though because the girl checking people out said to her " dish rags over there dishrag go over there. I'm closed. ". Yes, she referred to the woman that I had let go ahead of me as a dish rag I know I didn't miss hear it. The checkout girl said it twice. Other people heard it too, but nobody else spoke up because it's one of those things you don't know what to say or do I went right to the next line and then the lady with the hijab was behind me . I got to the checkout girl in that other line and I said I want to see the manager. The manager Randy came over and I told him what that girl had done and he said well she's about to get off. I'll deal with it later and that was it. He walked away. I've written to corporate about it. I'm appalled. I know there's a lot of angry people today, but it is not cool to disparage anybody for who they are. I don't care what your situation is or how angry you are. It is not cool. You are representing a company when you're behind the counter, register or whatever. You are representing who you work for so you need to check your attitude and your personal beliefs at the door when you get to work. read more

I forget this Aldi is here. I was out on an adventure, and wanted to pick up some berries. I swear Aldi has had the best strawberries this season, and at a bangin price. I can't do all my shopping at Aldi, but what I tend to buy there, makes it worth it to go a bit out of the way. When they do sales on their grass fed organic ground beef, I am going to stock up. They also have a great selection of cheeses and their produce is good. Like any store brand, things can be hit or miss, depending on your taste. But they have good quality. I think it is genius to charge you a quarter for a buggy, and return it to you when you bring it back. Not only does it keep their parking lot tidy, people will take care of it if they find a random buggy left behind. Also, I think all cashiers should be allowed to sit. read more

I'm so obsessed with ALDI. Like I go to ALDI for fun, willingly subscribe to their marketing emails (and haven't wanted to unsubscribe yet), and follow them on social media kind of obsessed. I hadn't been to this Hurst location yet because several others are simply closer to me, but when I found myself in this area on another errand, I had an excuse to pop in. Woohoo! This ALDI is smaller than those I'm used to but that wasn't problematic, even with a decent shopping crowd. It was well organized and well stocked. Only one register open but that's part of the ALDI deal. The line moves really fast since there's no bagging involved, you bag your own goodies after you pay. You also famously pay a quarter for your shopping cart and get it back once you return your cart. It requires a tiny bit of work on your part, maybe a little extra patience.. but the quality of product and savings are so worth it. Of course I found way too many goodies during this visit. Too many great deals. You won't find a better assortment of fantastic cheeses for prices like this. Or produce. Or meats. Or gluten free cranberry and brie tortelloni! Or a giant box of snack-sized, name-brand chips, Halloween candy, soda, and cereal. Super cute holiday decor. If you're not an ALDI regular, you're legitimately losing out on saving sooo much $$$. read more

I always enjoy Aldi, with a huge level of selectiveness. This particular Aldi was very clean and well organized; some of them don't give that presentation, they're sometimes all over the place. I will note, I noticed their produce had a lot of mold in the packages. However, I think for those who shop at Aldi, we know they're not the best when it comes to produce, and with some meats. Overall, I will continue to shop for some items at Aldi, the service is great, and the cashiers always greet you with a smile! read more

This is the 2nd Aldi store I've been to. This one was a bit smaller and had a lighter inventory. There was one checkout lane available. People lined up down the aisles to get checked out. Nobody else was called to open a 2nd register. I was not impressed this visit, but will return at another time to see if this is normal or if this store just had a bad day. read more

My wife was at the store this evening. The night before a winter storm coming into town. A special shout out to Aldi employee Candice! Went beyond with customer service tonight! She was assisting customers with questions, going to the back and stacking shelves, and then hopped on a register to help with customers checking out. Candice had the best attitude doing these tasks. So, we've been very critical of the Aldi locations in the DFW Metroplex so far. Having moved here from Indiana 3 years ago, Aldi couldn't have been more night and day different. Up there, they were clean, well stocked, fresh, staffed and friendly. Down here, they tend to be the opposite on all points. Today, we needed to do a grocery trip and were dreading it until my husband suggested we try the Hurst store that he had driven by recently. I'm so glad we did. This store is twice the size of the other metroplex stores we've been to, had nothing major out of stock, was clean and was a pleasant experience. We felt like we were back at an Indiana Aldi! The prices, as usual with Aldi, were spectacular for what you were buying. The selection was excellent. There was staff everywhere keeping things in order. We checked out in about 5 minutes, versus 20 minute waits at the Euless location. Night and day difference. Please, don't come to this store so I can have it all to myself. It's great! read more

This location is currently going through renovations and looks like it will be bigger once finished. Customer service is great, the variety is awesome and the produce is always fresh. There are cashiers but sometimes there's a wait to check out so be patient. read more

This is the best of the handful of Aldis in the nearby area. It's cleanest and best stocked. The workers are very hit and miss as far as friendliness goes (and I'm talking BEFORE Covid 19 turned everyone into robots), but I mean, that's Aldi for you. Aldi employees are never hired for their personality, no matter the store location (this ain't no Chick-fil-A y'all). If you can get past the staff and the minor inconveniences of the store - bagging your own groceries, "buying" the cart (digging through your purse for a quarter), modifying your shopping list to adapt to what they do and do not carry - Aldi is a a spectacular store. Their store-brand line of items are top knotch and their prices are the best you'll find around. Because of Aldi, I can feed my family of 7 for around $500 a month. Kroger, Tom Thumb, or even Walmart can't come close to touching that level of value. Aldi is my SUPERHERO. I've noticed that this Aldi typically has an employee out stocking somewhere in the store at all times. This is a HUGE advantage because it offers shoppers to opportunity to ask if something is carried or where it is shelved. This is NOT the case with most Aldis. Most stock before or after the store opens and GOOD LUCK finding someone to help you while you're shopping. Word to the wise, do check your receipt. Because of their system of scanning your items while you're still loading them on the belt, you cannot monitor things as they are scanned in. Like any grocery store, mistakes are often made - things ring up incorrectly, 50% off stickers go unnoticed, or one red onion weighs in at 4lb. Do you due diligence! read more

So I brought the cart around and moved the box closer to her . She methodically but the groceries everywhere but the box. At least put something in it whether neat or not . Aldi is amazing. We moved to TX three years ago and went to Aldi like 2 times. We were like "it okay, it's kind of small." Boy were we wrong. The quality of their food is top notch and their prices are also super cheap. In fact, in the last two months, the bulk of our groceries have come from Aldi. From the basics to spiraled ham, we are getting it all from there. The wife was buying stuff for early December and thought everywhere else was too packed, so she went there. We typically shop at Walmart, across the street, but except for filling up water, we have been skipping there to go get everything from Aldi. And yes, compared to Walmart, Aldi is small. But that's okay, it has all you need for groceries. Side note, we just tried the take and bake pizza, it's fantastic. We were super impressed. And at $4.99-$5.99, what a bargain. Love their potato and tortilla chips. Produce looks awesome, definitely have made improvements on quality there. Thank you Aldi for the quality and prices. read more

Absolutely loved this Aldi! It was super clean, organized, and had such a great selection of products. I just loved walking around and being able to see everything that they had. Aldi always has the best deals and the most unique products that you will not find anywhere else and this location is no exception! This place is AWESOME! I have no idea what the other "yelper" was talking about. They have plenty of healthy choices, Soy Milk, low-sodium items, AND great sugar free things. The 25 cent cart deposit is odd, BUT, allows for carts to not be stolen, broken, left in the parking lot, etc... because you'll go back to get your quarter. They don't waste parking spaces by having a "cart return" in the middle of the lot, AND, there's never a cart in your parking space that the last person was too lazy to take back. As far as appearance, it's simple, but it's FULL and CLEAN. They don't waste space. They have a building, and fill it with groceries (and some non-grocery items). It's all off-brand, but the quality is awesome. Sure, they don't have specialty meats and such, but for your basic everyday meal, they're perfect! Also, the employees they hire are above the normal clerks. They have great guest service and are willing to answer any questions you have. My first time in here, the guy pretty much did my shopping for me because I didn't know where to find certain items. We got a cart full of groceries for about $100... which is usually $200-350 at Wal-Mart or Sam's. You bag your own groceries, and they save money on pretty much everything. Their whole basis is that they save money in order to save YOU money; and it WORKS! Where else will you find a large box of cereal for $1.50? Overall, this place is simply amazing. The best grocery store I've ever been to, and we look forward to being long-term guests at this store. Try it out. You won't be disappointed! read more

If you're a low carber, lactose intolerant, on a low sodium diet, or looking for sugar free- STAY AWAY! This isn't the place for you. It really is true- presentation is everything. This store lacks any and all presentation. Perhaps for a warehouse, cardboard box display case to house non brands food, this is good, but I was unimpressed. It's like the old Food Lion- minus the lion. The only reason for 2 stars was because I found the .25 cent deposit for use of a shopping cart to be intriguing. The carts are hooked together with a cable and you put your quarter in a slot to un-hook and then when you leave, you re-hook your cart and the quarter pops out. There was even a clerk outside by the carts to help demonstrate how to un-hook and re-hook the cart. I found the variety to be zilch and the prices didn't seem all that low. They had a can of Pringles (one of the 3 or 4 name brands I saw) for $1.49, which you can get at Wal-mart for .99 cents. No savings there. The only low price I saw was a gallon of milk for $1.79 and people were picking that up like crazy. There is no bakery, deli or meat counter. I didn't buy a thing. I even witnessed Aldi class at its finest- some guy had opened up a gallon of milk and a package of off brand donuts and was eating and chugging right there in the aisle. It is BYOB and not in a good way!! You either bring your own bags or pay .09 cents a bag. Oh, and you bag your own stuff too and it isn't self check out. They close at 8 on Monday-Saturday and close at 7 on Sunday. Incidentally this location is right across the street from Wal-mart. read more

I have used the pick up service at this location for many months with no issues, however the service has declined drastically. I received spoiled produce in my pick up order yesterday . When I returned the items to the store, the cashier was unfriendly and curt. Not as much as an apology. Also, the store places a "hold charge" of an additional $20.00 more than your total bill. The money is withdrawn from your account and held 3-4 days before crediting you back. I will be shopping elsewhere. read more

I love to travel and when I get home I like to recreate the food of the countries I have traveled to. Aldi carries a wide range of German foods, vegan and gluten free foods, as well as a good amount of Mexican foods and all for a very reasonable price. I even find Indian food (wahoo). Aldi is the sister company to trader Joe's so you find most of the same stuff but different packaging. They have amazing deals from .25 cent avacado and .35 for a carton of eggs. Regarding this store specifically, the store is always clean, staff is friendly, and the store is easy to navigate/ things are in a nice order. Some people just don't "get" Aldi, this isn't a place I go to do all my shopping (same with trader Joe's). You go to Aldi for fair priced fresh food and the varity of ethnic foods. *I'd love to see a changing table in the bathroom- there is more than enough room (it's huge!) But no changing station. Today I had to leave my cart inside to change my child in my car while shopping. I'd love to be able to do this in the store read more

At first I didn't like this place... Man I didn't know I needed a quarter to just use a shopping cart and all I have is my credit card and debit card so its not worth standing in the one line they have open to get charged 25 cents to turn around and shop. Wait they charge for bags and don't take credit cards; only debit cards & cash. (Don't know about check.) Once you get past the things they do differently here and find out why they do them ... to save money on their end and that is how they are able to charge less than competitors. (Price of bags, cart pushers, extra employees to man extra lanes, are already put in the price of your can of beans, at other stores.) We usually come here for the generic things that we don't mind store brand on because their store brand is still cheaper than walmarts, and other grocery s in the area. There are low carb options if you look closely at your labels, which honestly is true no matter where you shop but this may not be the place for those with a lot of dietary restrictions. They do have x amount off offerings based on buying demand but How they keep their prices down is by offering mostly store brand offerings and not having to much of something there is a limited amount of buying for. We still have to go next door for non concentrated OJ and so on but its honestly not to far of a drive for the savings of stopping here first. read more

I had to post an update and give 5 stars this time. Aldi is getting better vat selling healthy, inexpensive products and vegetarian options as well! Their frozen specialty pizzas are amazing, however some of my favorite flavors were only there for a limited time. Right now they are selling some awesome camping gear for great prices! I live right in between the Euless Aldi and this Aldi and like this Aldi a thousand times more than Euless. Example: I have been buying their red or green grapes for the past year and they have ALWAYS been firm and sweet and very reasonably priced. Last week I wanted to go to Ross so stopped at the Euless Aldi next door to pick up the grapes. I ended up having to throw them away as they were super soggy and mushy. Great value especially in the produce. Only one time did I buy a bag of apples and found one rotten after a few days. Generally the produce is dirt cheap and very good, at least what I use! When they first came to town, I sort of remember them being closed on Sundays and holidays but they have changed that philosophy. I guess they figured they were loosing too many $$. They were also a cash only place but now they have changed that which makes checkout a bit longer. However, they are always quick to call their back up person. Checkout goes very quickly even when there are a lot of people in line. Paying a quarter for your cart is totally brilliant! ALL stores should adopt this policy and then shopping carts would NOT be scattered all over the parking lot because of some lazy ass doesn't feel like walking 20 ft! One of the best things about Aldi is their HUGE parking spaces! No worries about getting dings on your car. I don't buy a lot at Aldi, but probably would if I were on a tight budget and raising a family. read more

This place is so amazing. If you're not a brand name junkie and don't mind private brands then this is the place for you and you're family. Eggs: .79 a dozen for large!!! Really!! milk 1.19 gallon! Lol .. They do have their own brand called Fit and Active which is healthier than most. Their Fit and Active ranges from lunch meats, cheese, breakfast foods, veggies, and so much more. We haven't shopped anywhere else since this place opened up. You can either bring your own bags or you can buy a reusable plastic bag for .09 cents. Here's an important thing.. They don't take credit cards. Debit Cards, cash and checks only. So if you're like us and want to save some money grocery shopping, then this place is perfect. Give it a try sometime.....And... This place is very strange. Apparently big around Germany, so when I saw they build one across TCC years ago I was excited to try one. I never took the time to go to one (because their hours suck) until recently. And this place DEFINITELY has that small alternative Euro-vibe to it. They're also very eco-friendly. Put a coin in for a cart. No credit card, only debit or cash accepted (and I THINK check/money-order). No plastic bags, only paperbags or buy one of those reusable recyclable bags made of that clothy/hemp stuff. Some people might pass it off as a hipster's grocery story, but I say it's a euro grocery store. Most places in Europe are small and alternative branded like this. Seriously, you won't find many brands you recognize, maybe 2-3 brands at most. Most items here look like rip-offs of other brands. Which might be true but the food is delish! I got some apples, cheese n crackers, deli items and those wafer sticks and definitely tasted the freshness in them. Didn't tasted as bland or salty as most American brands. Definitely go check it out and be prepared to be teleported across the pond and/or to the twilight-zone to an alternative grocery shopping experience. One based on freshness, modest sizes/quantity and eco-friendliness that is not found in the mass marketed, glutton-like society of America. But...TBH I still prefer my regular Targets/Kroger's/TomThumbs, this is just a nice alternative to the usual mix to see how the other side of the world does it. read more

My closest location is Euless which happens to be closed for renovations right now. So I visited the Hurst location today. It seems everyone from Euless had the same idea because the store had a pretty good size crowd. Even tho there was quite a few of us there the way they have this store set up is very spacious and organized. It was clean, easily navigated and had a good variety of produce and such to pick from. I actually wanted to write this to send kudos towards the cashier (Leah) who's line I went thru. It was quite chaotic at the check out. There was a spill at the end of the checkout line, a man on his phone who was also demanding attention from Leah, other cashiers who had questions, a customer walked up and asked a question and she handled it all without missing a beat. She had a genuine smile the whole time she cleaned up the mess real quick, addressed the man on the phone, set up another check out line real quick , answered everyone's questions, and talked to me while checking the groceries thru.. I do not get this place. You have to pay to use a cart (I did not need one) and check out is just bizarre and they just now started accepting credit cards. That alone could sum it up but it also smells bad and veggies look horribly over rip or spoiled. I checked all the prices and nothing was better than Walmart across the street that is cheaper, clean and smells good. I purchased 5 lemons that looked bad only because I did not have time to go to Bedford's Farmers Market - and regretted it. read more

Absolutely love aldi and this location is clean and usually well organized. I love that aldis are quickly to shop at, since they just have their own brand for the most part. It's cheap and a lot of high quality products. Aldi is a German grocery discount chain and some of the products are imported from Europe/Germany so you get high quality chocolates (they r so good!!), wines and cheeses. They also start to have more organic products and have a gluten free line. Their "any" brand does not have any by products etc. they have special buys every week, could be school stuff, kitchen products, or special food products... I wouldn't buy their electronic appliances though, I bought a blender which would work fine for easy to blend smoothies but not so well for green smoothies or things including ice. Their vacuum was also pretty bad as I returned it. So stuck with the food items and you r good ;) oh, the produce is really cheap there. Love it! read more
