There's something about big, bold signage with cheese written on it that appeals to a weary American traveler in LAX. A well known brand of mac & cheese for many years I had to try it. First off, it's expensive - $12 for an 8oz side portion. Taste was ok, distinct, but very soupy. Not the best I've had and not worth $12, but it is in the airport so every place in here has hyperinflated pricing. Service was fast for carryout and it was packaged up piping hot, but don't bother trying to sit at any of the stools around their bar or their booth seat because they are only reserved for dine-in patrons and it's an extra 20% on the bill to sit there. The cashier was quick to chase us out since she saw us place a kiosk order. Not a great experience, but I'm glad I was able to try the famous Beecher's handmade cheese. I can check that one off.

First time coming here and was surprised at the food quality. My husband and I ordered the smoked turkey grilled sandwich ($19) with a side salad ($4) and it was delicious. Bread was toasted perfectly and the turkey cheesy Beecher spread combo was perfect. The side salad had too much dressing so that was a bummer. It was a fresh salad but just too soggy with dressing. Service was good. Just beware of the final cost. Apparently there's already a 20% tip included on the bill and a 10% LAX service charge. So for a $23 sandwich combo meal the actual lunch bill came out to be $32! These hidden fees...yikes.

Pretty good for airport Mac but ridiculously priced... over $14 for this small side. Would not get again...

I didn't realize there was a Beechers Cheese restaurant in Los Angeles. The moment I saw the sign for Beechers, it brought back memories of a trip I took to Seattle. This location is inside Airport Terminal B, not convenient unless you pass airport security, lol. https://www.laxshopdine.com/directory/beechers-handmade-cheese-2/ Stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I ate half my sandwich and took the remainder to go on my flight. It was simple, yes delicious with a thick slice of their famous cheese melted in between two slices of bread, with an egg and a Sausage patty. A side order of diced fruit was included for $16. Several other dining options are available in each terminal. I like to arrive early and pick up a meal or beverage before boarding. Bookmark this place for your next trip to LAX and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!!

On an early morning flight I needed a quick and easy breakfast with a cup of joe to give me a jolt of energy. Although, they encourage self service meaning you order your food on the computer and wait for your name yo be called. I decided on the breakfast sausage panini. I wasn't expecting the sausage to be grounded. The cheese was good but the panini was a little too greasy for me. The flavor was ok. It was good in a pinch.

Another wonderful trip to Beechers with Socorro before heading off for a few weeks in Germany! Got my fill on my favorite basil margarita that did not disappoint. I was so happy to see Socorro again and as always her service with her was exceptional! Until our next trip...safe travels yelpers!

Mac and cheese is actually really really good. One of the best I've had. Prices are a little steep but that might be expected for an airport. The cashier (Raul) was super nice and was making jokes which made my experience more pleasurable. Loved it!

We always have access to the United Lounge when we fly with United (Lifetime Gold - million miler, and in recent years as Virgin Gold we had access to their group lounge on the 6th floor - and so we usually just brush past the eating holes at LAX - but this time we were flying Virgin and despite being in Premier seating discovered that it got us no lounge access (my Gold status lapsed). I must say that the United Lounges both LHR and LAX are excellent. Virgin at LHR is outstanding but LAX is, well disappointing. So we just grabbed bites in the airport itself and, to be honest, it was much more enjoyable that the crowded second rate lounge on the 6th floor. I had the Mac and cheese and it was very good - almost as Mrs G's pride and joy. I enjoyed it very much, the time flew and it kept me going until we ate on the flight (which was better than usual! (See the Virgin Atlantic review - I have a little trick of the trade)

Airport eating first of all I don't like being told what I should tip.... You don't know what kind of service your going to get right! The food was good not to my liking I didn't like the cheese. The server was nice and stretch he definitely needed more help.. so it did take us longer then we wanted and we chose this place because it didn't seem crowded so it would be an easy in and out.. but the takeout was crowded and didn't realize they only had one cook.

If you know me, you know I love me some mac & cheese. Beecher's has a location at the International terminal at LAX. My first experience with Beecher's was in Seattle and I guess they are expanding. I chose the 8 oz cup and asked for an ice water which they charge for. It's unfortunate but cheaper than a bottle of water from a different vendor. The mac & cheese is creamy and hot but the noodles can be a little over cooked. They have soup, sandwiches, and breakfast offerings too.

Great little place in LAX for a sandwich and a nice glass of wine or cocktail. I enjoyed coming here before my very long 15+ hour international flight. Ian was very helpful in making food recommendations. He also let me have a taste of two dry white wines (a pinio Grigio and a Spanish wine). I inhaled a Grilled cheese sandwich which had Monterey Jack cheese in it (MMM) and side salad. Also had a glass of the Bodega Garzon - Albariño Reserva wine which was crisp and dry. Ian said they were only open for 3 weeks so far. Check this place out!

There's a real chew here--a springy, structured bite that gives just enough resistance before yielding. It's deeply satisfying and makes every dish feel more intentional. The cappelloni shows it off best: that almost-famous sauce wraps around each piece, but the pasta holds its own, so you get that perfect balance of silky and structured. Same with the tangiello--the meat sauce tastes like it's been simmering for days, rich and layered, but the noodles never get lost because that chew carries through. The Caesar isn't an afterthought either. It's got a subtle spicy kick that wakes everything up, and if you add chicken, it's done right--well-seasoned, nicely grilled, juicy with a bit of char. It turns a classic into something you actually remember. Dinner is where things go a little heartier, and the pork chop delivers. Fall-off-the-bone tender, but still full of flavor--not just soft for the sake of it. Jame just gets the fundamentals right, then pushes a little further. Thoughtful, textured, and the kind of place where even the chew of the pasta becomes part of the experience.

I was impressed with the clean and modern look of Jane Enoteca from the moment I walked in. Their dishes consist of several handmade pastas, salads and Italian inspired comfort food. My friend and I chose to start our meals with the Meatballs and Brussels Sprouts. Being a Brussels Sprouts fan, I really enjoyed their roasted crispy Brussels sprouts that were tossed in schiaffoni dressing and finished with sesame. Equal in deliciousness were their Meatballs. The Meatballs were tender, rich and saucy. These starters were a great way to kick off our meal here. For our mains, we got their Paccheri Lisci and Tonnarelli. The Paccheri Lisci had a bit of a spicy kick to it. It has spicy pork sausage sugo, fennel, sage and pecorino. It was meaty and flavorful. The Tonnarelli or Cacio e Pepe contrasted nicely with the Paccheri Lisci. This pasta dish was simple, sharp and peppery. This was more bold versus saucy. Last but not least we had some cookies for dessert. I loved the fresh baked snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookies. It was a sweet and perfect ending to the meal here. Overall, I really enjoyed dining at Jame Enoteca. I am now looking forward to trying out their sister restaurant Jame Taqueria down the street.

After learning about this place a year ago, this past Mother's Day I finally gave them a try. Now as per all my Italian restaurant reviews here in Los Angeles, I've always said that as an Italian American from New York City, I am very picky and take my Italian food very serious. And unfortunately, a lot of places have disappointed me more than not. My first impression, I did like the customer service by the hostesses. The young lady who was our server started a little rough, with her face expressions and her not so friendliness. But throughout the duration of dinner ended up being fantastic. I guess management was there, but did some half ass walking around to the tables trying to help. Nothing special, did not even introduce themselves or do anything special for Mother's Day for tables. My party was large, and they were able to set us up in a nice space with a nice table. Which was nice. The interior is really sweet, really cute and warm. Beautiful vibe overall. The food I will say was out of this world. Super surprising once again having been disappointed after a few years of me being Los Angeles. Everything my family ordered was great. I made sure to try everyone's dish lol everything I put in my mouth was fantastic. The cost of everything was as expected. Reasonable but there were a few items of course I thought were overpriced. Like I mentioned earlier they have an appetizer of a plate of ricotta with meatballs. Ended up being two meatballs with probably not housemaid ricotta cheese. That screamed LA to me. But nonetheless, everything was delicious. Everyone in my large family enjoyed everything they ordered. I highly recommend them for a fantastic meal, and a beautiful setting whether for a date or hang out with friends. Neighborhood parking is decent and they do offer valet parking as well. I know I'll be back sooner than later, definitely a lot of times. For I am curious if their food is always good or if they just brought in the big guns for Mother's Day.

Prices were astronomical for what we were seeing. Decided on fettuccini Alfredo with added shrimp ($11 for the add), and the rigatoni with meat sauce. As a starter ordered the recommended chicken and orzo soup. The soup was delivered warm, with a few scraggly shreds of chicken and about 30 pieces of orzo. No seasoning at all, tasted like warm water. Asked for salt and put a ton on the soup but little change in flavor. Entrees came with the Alfredo dish having a good tasting sauce but only had three small shrimp with the entire dish about 1 cup of food. The rigatoni again had a good taste but it too was very small. What surprised me was both dishes were served with no bread, no garnish, nothing Other than the bowls of food. No effort was put into cooking or presenting the dishes. Had some family pop in on me out of nowhere!…read more Like, literally nowhere. I mean from New Orleans with absolutely no heads up whatsoever! Guess what they wanted as soon as they touched down? You got it! Sorrento's Italian Market here in Culver City! Now supposedly over the weekend they're going to make up for their surprise and lack of common courtesy by taking me to some nice restaurant apparently! I'll believe it when I see it. Settled on some hard salami and the sheer smell that emanates from the market. You've heard of or better yet even witnessed the smell that emanates from Pirates of the Caribbean? Well, Sorrento's market has its own unforgettable smell, and it usually winds up in a net gain of about 5 to 10 lb for your waistline. So other than some hard salami, I was sure to get the you know what out of here quickly! But do come by folks! Come from near and come from afar. My family just came from New Orleans (which happens to be the 1st city-yeah even before New York...that saw Sicilians specifically bring their great cuisine to this land) and the first thing they wanted was some hard salami from Sorrento's 2,000 miles away! Lol The spirit of Sorrento's market lives on through current owner Albert Vera Jr, who continues to do his father, mother, and the city of Culver City proud. It's not Culver City if there's not a Vera somewhere, somehow.

I'm an East Coast kid, raised north of Boston, with an Italian grandfather who blasted Sinatra and the Rat Pack from his Cadillac Eldorado. Homemade meatballs and chicken parmigiana were staples in our home, so I like to think I know Italian food, especially Italian subs. I love a good Italian sub with extra hots (red cherry pepper relish). I'm on a quest to find the best Italian sub in LA, so I've been trying out some of the classic spots. I finally made it to Sorrento Italian Market. The staff was friendly and helpful, directing me to the sub counter. A kind, middle-aged woman assisted me, explaining the menu had both hot and cold options. I was looking for an Italian sub, but the cold Italian Combination with mustard and mayo wasn't what I expected (we use "hots," a cherry pepper relish, on the East Coast). I was a bit confused, as she thought I was asking about a hot sub. They don't use hots here, which is understandable. Instead, I asked about popular hot subs and was recommended the meatball sub, which many online reviewers also praised. The meatballs were excessively salty, and I generally enjoy salty foods! They were also quite small, almost like cocktail meatballs. The texture also reminded me of canned Chef Boyardee meatballs. While the bread was a bit stale, it became more palatable after being soaked in the marinara sauce. I also wanted to try the pastries. Of course, I couldn't visit an Italian deli without trying a cannoli. I ordered the traditional, regular-sized one and was very disappointed. It tasted like pure sugar; I couldn't even taste the ricotta. It just tasted like frosting, and they overdid the powdered sugar.I nearly had a sugar rush, and I'm not even diabetic! It tasted almost like it was made from Costco. I also ordered bombolone, one with vanilla custard and one with Nutella filling. Unfortunately, they tasted a bit stale on the outside, and I didn't end up eating them. I hesitate to write a negative review for a mom-and-pop spot, but the food was unfortunately unsatisfactory on several levels. I'm not comfortable giving just one star because the staff was friendly and had good banter. I also really enjoy the atmosphere of this old-fashioned Italian deli, so I'm giving them two stars instead.
