Beech is a definite must for anyone who visits or lives in Charleston. I always thought why Charleston hasn't had a good acai place on King Street, but now I am SO pumped that this is right next to my door step. The decor is simple and clean, yet has a lot of character with cute succulent plants dotting the wood communal tables. The food is so fresh and delicious and I love how it comes from local vendors surrounding the Charleston area.The service was fantastic and just seemed like a good family owned juice bar - we had a great conversation with Audrey and Keegan, the co owners of the establishment. I had the Sperry Berry smoothie and I loved the story of how they named it after their silver lab! Also I must say the music playlist was awesome - definitely shazamed that stuff a couple times. All in all - a great place to kick back and relax with some juice and acai. read more

Nice, veg friendly alternative to the rich, heavy food in Charleston. Service is quick and friendly. There is a veggie poke bowl which I was psyched to see. It's pretty overpriced though - $12.50 for mostly white rice with small chunks of tofu and tiny amounts of avocado and wakame. Flavor was good but nothing special. Everything is served in non-recycled plastic bowls and utensils, even in-house dining. Wasteful! read more

I can only speak on behalf of the wraps; specifically the chicken wrap. The Small portion of chicken salad on the wrap was good but it wasn't even a whole wrap. $10 for a flat bread with a little bit of fillings. Over priced and overrated. read more

I love Beech. I have a feeling that all of their food is amazing but I love what I ordered the first time so much that I get it every time. Their hummus salad, it comes with a delicious balsamic dressing - and you can add guacamole or make it a wrap for a dollar more. On a very chilly, damp morning, we trotted quickly from the Charleston market to Beech hoping to find hot vegan breakfast entrees. Beech's menu highlighted smoothies and other cold drinks. Uh, no. Forty degrees and damp outside and the menu highlights smoothies? The staff was amazingly unhelpful in suggesting entrees for us. In their rush to get our order (and we were the only ones standing in line), my daughter and I didn't get drinks. (Maybe the staff could have made suggestions?) As I was sitting awaiting my order of avocado on toast, I noticed further down on the menu board something called poke. Poke? Before leaving, I asked what poke was. (It's too bad that poke wasn't explained on the menu board; I probably would have ordered it.) It's also too bad that the staff at Beech couldn't have helped us find hot entrees to fill our bellies before we ventured back down for our carriage ride. I'm stunned by businesses where the staff demonstrate disinterest in their customers and/or in selling their products. Beech isn't a bad place, but they don't know how to interact with customers who have never been there before. If I ever find myself in Beech again on a cold morning (unlikely), I'll know what poke is and probably order it. This was just a case of poor service -- not bad people, but unskilled. read more

Worst açaí bowl I have ever had. They literally took a bowl out of freezer with already made açaí and then added toppings. Since not fresh it has a hard consistency like when ice cream is too frozen in freezer and the toppings don't smooth in and is impossible to eat. read more

Beech is probably my favorite restaurant in downtown Charleston. The poke is soo good and I get an Acai bowl almost everyday. The Delecta Bowl is my go to- the fruit is always so fresh I love it. The service is truly amazing, they even opened early to make me a bowl on a Sunday morning. I could not ask for a better place to get smoothies, wraps or juice.
