My husband and I was so excited to get some sushi when we saw this place. We ordered over the counter for to go so we didn't really see what it looks like until we opened it in our hotel room. When we saw it, we were very surprised about the looks of the fish and sauce thats in there. The fish looks super red and sauce looks blue that it makes it looks like a dessert. Honestly I didn't even dare to try it. My husband tried some and didn't really like it. Size wise its really big than average sizes of sushi. We want to call or go back in the restaurant but its about 30 mins drive from our hotel and it was around 10pm already. Sorry but not my type of sushi.

    Poke Bowl- Build your own

Delicious build your own bowl. Service was quick and the cashier was friendly. They really load your bowl up and don't skimp! I felt the price was reasonable as well. The ambiance was nice, anime was playing and the decor seemed to match as well. Very cute spot!

I have a pretty unhealthy relationship with Poke Café. This place is, by far, the best poke you can have in the Charleston area. Not only are their bowls huge, but the deal and value are definitely worth it. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my bowl to be prepared; they are efficient and delicious--my favorite thing to eat on my lunch break. The place is always clean and smells amazing. I'll never go anywhere else

This was my first time trying a poke bowl and was very impressed outside of the fact that the rice could have been cooked just a tad more the service was quick and friendly and the bowl was very filling.

    Korean Spicy Ramen, constructed.

Hubby has been craving Ramen for weeks, and we wanted a treat on this chilly winter night, so we got delivery via Ubereats. He was so worried his meat would be overcooked but was willing to take the risk. I wanted sushi and a poke bowl because I am a pig, so I got the A1 combo and felt no shame. The Korean Spicy Ramen with pork belly arrived deconstructed to avoid the issue of overcooking, which pleased hubby immensely. The broth was rich and loaded with spices. The pork was tender and flavorful. He said it was spicy and delicious. The egg was the biggest surprise, and he said it really made the dish special. My GMC roll was surprisingly spicy, with a chili heat from somewhere. So spicy, in fact, that I used the wasabi heat to counter the chili heat. The Taro milk tea was the perfect relief: sweet, cool, and creamy, with no Boba. Hubby always orders his Boba tea without the Boba, so he was happy to share some sips. It cooled his spicy tongue as well. The Rainbow poke bowl had krispies, which were unexpected because apparently I didn't read the menu very closely. Good tuna, a little fishier than I prefer, and delicious salmon. Masago is always appreciated, and mango brought sweetness and freshness while avocado added creamy richness. Eel sauce and spicy mayo sauce were served on the side so I could make it the way I like. I wanted the Volcano poke bowl, but it comes on greens and not rice. I didn't think to see if you can swap it out, but I bet you can. But I am glad I didn't get it this time because the Rainbow bowl was a nice cooling foil to my spicy roll. Volcano bowl on rice will wait til next time. It probably won't be long!

    Tuna?

Theres no way this fish is tuna. The salmon lost its color. The eel is pale and the taste is horrible. Be sure to check your food before taking it to go.

I ordered takeout while visiting the area. The chicken poke bowl was delicious and it was a nice portion, enough for two meals. I recommend this place if you enjoy or want to try poke bowls.

Didn't even realize they have Boba Tea here. My family from out of town had to tell me they were here and that they have Boba Tea. I'm coming here from now on.

I was shocked at how yummy the Matcha Milk Bubble Tea was. I wasn't expecting this place to make good milk tea. I would definitely go there again to order tea. I only had Matcha, but looking forward to trying other flavors. The Poke Bowl though, was disappointing. We did build our own, so maybe its my fault? But some guidance would have been appreciated since we had never been there before. There was so much sauce that you really couldn't taste anything other than sauce and I could only eat about half because it was just too much sauce in each bite. I took it home and added about a cup of rice to even out the flavors. So don't get 2 sauces! Also, I chose cream cheese from the options and when I got my bowl, it was a giant hunk of cream cheese. Like half a brick of cream cheese. It that a bad thing? I guess not, but there no way I was going to eat a half a brick of cream cheese in one sitting, so I would advise to avoid the cream cheese option, or maybe ask them to chop it into cubes for you?

Two poke bowls, and both were delicious

It was fast and tasty and made fresh to order, and was about the same price as what I would pay at the Publix next door for the same. I ordered the hibachi steak (medium), but it arrived well done and didn't taste fresh at all. The fried rice was basically just browned rice--no flavor, no vegetables. According to the menu, the dish is supposed to come with vegetables, but none were included. I noticed an option online to "add more vegetables" for an extra $5, but I didn't choose it because I assumed veggies were already part of the plate, as advertised. For the price, the quality is just not there. Everything felt bland and underwhelming. I'm honestly not sure what keeps people coming back or what they're ordering that makes them enjoy it. For context, I'm not a sushi person--mainly due to the texture combinations. I like the ingredients separately, just not all rolled together. So if sushi is their strength, maybe that's where the better experience is... but I wouldn't know. Overall, I don't plan to order again. Just not worth the cost or the letdown.

I appreciated how they filled their spicy tuna rolls with chunky pieces of fish instead of the usual ground tuna used in other sushi restaurants. Their offerings and methods of preparation, paired with their higher price point, suggests they are a higher end establishment. However, the atmosphere was undoubtedly on the casual side, and their service, although friendly and knowledgeable, exuded a lack of experience and the same attention to detail that they put into their food. This was especially apparent after coming from eating at other restaurants in a similar price bracket, where you can sense the waitstaff had a lot of pride and passion for their craft, and it didn't feel like it was just a job for them. In contrast, our experience at Shiki felt far more transactional, and lacked that "customer obsession" and genuine warmth. That said, it's difficult to judge a restaurant's culture just from a single night, and maybe other customers had a different experience from us. Ultimately, if good sushi is your priority and you are willing to splurge a bit, Shiki meets and even exceeds that bar.

They exist, but some of the best are so unassuming you can walk right past them. Shiki is exactly that kind of place--a small, warm, inviting restaurant tucked into a strip mall that feels like a neighborhood secret. Loc, our waiter, greeted us as soon as we sat down with water, a friendly welcome, and a helpful walk-through of the menu. We started with wine and sake--always a promising beginning. The first course was seaweed salad with baby octopus, and I could have happily sipped that dressing like a cocktail. Light, bright, perfectly balanced, with tender octopus that added just the right bite. From there we decided to sample our way through the menu and ordered a lineup of rolls: Spicy Yellowtail, Spicy Shiromi, Rainbow, Spider, Lemon Salmon, and Eel. Each one seemed better than the last. The Spicy Shiromi was the clear standout--absolutely spectacular. What really sets Shiki apart is that every roll has its own distinct flavor instead of the one-note sameness you find at so many sushi spots. You can tell real care goes into the preparation. If you're searching for fresh, thoughtful, genuinely delicious sushi, don't overlook this little gem. Shiki is the real deal.

Very limited seating across the room but we luckily we snagged a reservation. Our server was very friendly and went over some specials with us before taking our drink orders and inquired about allergies. We went family style and started with the crispy tuna rice, marinated cucumbers, dumplings and pork bao. We added on a few rolls and ended with the sesame lamb noodles and duck fried rice. The dumplings were unique with this crispy shell on top and had a creamier sauce. We did have to ask for soy sauce which is usually something we expect to get right away after ordering sushi. He gave us one dish of soy instead of all of our own which I thought was weird so we asked for more. I enjoyed the textures of the dumplings but I felt the sauce lacked a bit in flavor to complement the dumplings. Crispy rice looked appealing but we were all disappointed with the lack of flavor, especially in the tuna mixture alright the textures were on point. The sushi rolls were made well and you get about 5 bigger pieces. The best thing we had were the cucumbers! Simple and delicious, packed with flavor. The sesame lamb noodles were also prepared well, and had nice flavors overall that were unique. We spent about $200 per couple which I felt was quite steep for the amount of food we got, but overall I would say we enjoyed ourselves but a few things just fell short on flavors.
