I called Bee Rescue early one afternoon after observing a lot of bee activity on our patio and determining that they had begun to create a nest. Jeff came by early that same evening, gave us a reasonable quote, and said that he could remove the bees right away. All I can say is Jeff and Julie are the best! We had a brand new hive forming on the underside of our BBQ lid we found when we noticed a lot of bees starting to show up around the grill. I knew that I didn't want the bees to be killed so I looked up local bee keepers in our area. I came across their website and once I saw that they rescued bees I called them in the morning and Jeff said they would swing by later that day! They arrived around 1PM were very nice and I didn't even have to ask them to put on masks for COVID precautions which was very respectful they did it without asking. They took a look at the hive, went back down to their truck, got geared up and and started removing the bees. We live in an apartment and the BBQ is on our patio on the second story so we were able to observe safely behind the glass door while they worked. Jeff even showed us the queen and explained how long the hive had been there and what stage the bees were at in their hive building which was very educational. BEE REMOVAL AND ROOF REPAIR: Yesterday, we had 20 lbs of honeycomb, and honey, removed from our attic. In order to reach the hive the roof had to be opened up. At one point we had upwards of 10,000 bees. I highly recommend Jeff at Bee Rescue. Jeff performed a live removal to save the bees. He removed tiles, cut out felt paper, opened up plywood, removed the bees and honeycomb by hand (to preserve healthy bees - better than vacuuming the bees), scooped out the wax, cleaned out the honey, coated the area with odor suppressant, replaced the insulation, plywood, paper, and put the tiles back into place. The surrounding area was bee proofed with mesh. We interviewed multiple bee removal companies and Jeff at Bee Rescue was by far the most knowledgeable, and most cost effective. I have called this company twice now for help with bee issues in our yard. The first time the gentleman who took my call let me know they were very busy and it would be a day or two to make it out to us and suggested I call around to other businesses. He seemed annoyed with my call asking for help - there was a swarm of bees around our house and chimney and I could see them in the attic vents - but ultimately I understood that they are very busy so whatever I brushed off that encounter. But then I call a second time for a question regarding a bee swarm around the pool in our backyard. After following this company on both Instagram and snapchat I assumed they really cared about the safety of bees. So I figured a call for advice to safely get the bees away from my pool would be welcomed. Not the case at all. The gentleman straight up told me he didn't have time to deal with my call. I absolutely understand they are busy and feel this could have communicated cordially. But telling a potential customer you don't have time to deal with them or their issue is absolutely unacceptable. Apparently We've had a colony of bees under our roof for quite a while. I learned this because Jeff at Bee Rescue showed me extensive pictures of the work he performed getting rid of them. Our regular exterminator will kill the bees but does not remove hives. They referred me to someone who does and they gave me an estimate: X to kill and remove hive: X+two hundred to relocate the hive and bees. I then looked at Yelp and called Bee Rescue because they had all five star reviews. Talked to Jeff, he gave me an idea of cost, and came out to inspect the next day. Jeff strikes me as a conscientious young man who seems to really know his bees. His estimate (because he had mentioned a range on the phone) was two hundred less than the other and he did not kill the bees. When he came out and saw the work required, he said his estimate should have been the same as the other estimator but stuck to the lower price (same as the first guys just kill price) and his price included saving the bees. He arrived early, worked steadily, and gave a wonderful presentation of the colony he removed (and bees in general) when he finished. He also said to look for bees who were out looking for pollen when the nest was removed who will be returning to the area and to call him as soon as we see some and he will be back. I had some honeybees starting to make a hive above the room over our garage. Bee Rescue came out within about 90 minutes of me calling them and swiftly removed the bees and installed more netting on the vents so bees could not enter again. 8/20/2014, I highly recommend this service to remove bee's and bee hive from your home. I came home from work yesterday and discovered bee's had moved into my bird house. The bee population grew quickly. I did some research and found out that the bee's will attack if they feel threatened. The article said, never spray the hive with water or insect spray because they will attack. Hmmm. Makes sense to me so I called around and got some quotes. I spoke with Jeff at Bee Rescue who gave me a reasonable price. Bee Rescue doesn't kill bee's instead relocates them to another location where bee keepers adopt them. Jeff came to my house and removed the entire bee hive without killing them. I strongly recommend Bee Rescue for home and business owners. After the bee hive was removed there about 50 bee's that remained behind for about one week until the "Left behind bee's" died off.
