My son only ate 1/5 or 1/4 of the chicken alfredo and ended up vomiting and with diar from it before we left the restaurant. my other son couldn't eat his alfredo either, and ate a dessert instead. He didn't eat enough of the alfredo to make him sick. He left nearly a full bowl on the table uneaten. Nobody should have to pay a forced tip when served food that is unsafe to eat that makesbthem sick. But whatever. Bad first impression are not forgotten. I have no problem with paying a quality price for quality food and quality service, but this did not qualify. read more

When I entered the dining area, a putrid odor was noticeably present. The floor was sticky and filthy. When the food was brought to the table, the odor of the alfredo would gag you. My son took several bites of his, and within minutes felt ill, then had to run to the restroom. He suffered with vomiting and diarrhea before leaving the restaurant. After trying to eat the food, but being unable to stomach it and the odor of the room, we asked for the bill. I was shocked when they brought me a bill in ezcess of $280 for 9 dishes and 2 tiny appetizers that were not enough for the diners present. This bill included a forced tip of $50. I dont mind tipping for good service, but nothing that happened in this dining experience merited a gratuity, much less one if this amount. This outing was only to be one part of my daughters Birthday event. It was very unpleasant. I have eaten michelin star worthy meals for much less expense, that were worth paying much more for, but this was not one of those experience. It demanded unreasonably high prices for food of very poor quality. You get one shot at a first impression. This one was very bad. I won't be going back. read more

Went there just for a regular date night, nothing fancy. Place was small, and sorta felt a little cramped. Service was good just not super fast, our waitress was very nice and polite though. For a flatbread appetizer, a penne ziti meal, and a white cheddar mac and cheese with shrimp came out to be 42 dollars. That's the bad part. The mac and cheese was soup. Shrimp was great, but the dish had no structure to it. I was fishing for mac in an ocean full of soup cheese. Tasted well, didn't go down super great though. This town has a charming little downtown stretch with mountain views. I stopped in because this place had vegetarian options and a local flavor. Their menu was limited as they were doing some special event. I still found a decent noodle dish to order. They did not have any protein add-ons (though good quality noodles have more protein than most people think). I added a side salad, which came out first. You know you're in the deep south when you're looking at a mound of cheese and somewhere under there is some vegetables coated in ranch dressing. But it was pretty good for what it was. My lavender lemonade delivered taste (and the aftertaste you get with lavender). My noodle dish was quite substantial and had some fresh-tasting vegetables. The flavor was mild and a bit sweet, and I could have gone for something spicier before realizing that they had the option to order it spicy and I did not take it (and wasn't asked). Altogether, a nice meal, not perfect, but you'll drive a long way looking for vegetarian-friendly food around here. read more

The place is cute, a small mom and pop kind of venue in a really lovely little mountain town. I stopped in on a Sunday right after church. In this small town there are very few Sunday lunch options, so I was grateful to have it open. I was waited on really quickly since it seemed like a slow time for them. Friendly smiling satff are always a welcome thing. I ordered a ceasar salad because I wasn't particularly hungry and the dessert special of pumpkim pecan cobbler. This day, they had ran out of romain lettuce, but that really wasn't a problem for me - it was a salad after all, :/ and I added grilled chicken. (Sorry no pictures of anything) It was a decent size salad (to go) but nothing crazy big. The pumpkin cobler was tasty but I felt that the serving size was pretty small for what I paid. I only gave a 3 star rating because honestly, nothing was above average. It's not a place that *I* would absolutely rave to others about. They even offered to split the bowls for us the next time if we let them know we plan to share. The atmosphere and decor gave subtle nods to the theme of the restaurant.
