Even the cups and the sleeves felt like good quality products, as if the owners get that people want a hot cup of joe ;-) I thought it was a great touch to have the logo on the sleeve too. I love a small business and definitely wanted to try this place (hoping to pry my wife away from the chain shop). White Duck was founded by a couple of Seattle transplants, who wanted to bring the "two windows in a shed" model of Pacific Northwest coffee shops to the Bay Area. And that's exactly what this is-a drive thru-no indoor seating-and I didn't see any outdoor tables, either. This is grab and go. But there's parking behind the building, if you want to sit and savor a bit. The shop is way up on North Dale Mabry-near Van Dyke-on the east side, right next to a Wendy's. It wasn't busy when I first got there but there at 8:30 on a Wednesday morning, but it soon picked up. I can see why... it's so convenient and the staff is so nice. They really stand out. I can't wait to stop in again and try more! I read on the website that the owners lost a child to cancer and part of the proceeds from each purchase goes to research. The service was good and soon I got my order. The coffee was amazing and it was freshly roasted. The taste was delicious and coffee made my morning.
