This company is outrageous with their pricing! They charged us what amounted to $500 an hour! Shame on you for charging so much! Shame on us for being so stupid! Do yourself a favor and only deal with companies that your friends refer. Note: Bedford overhead doors is NOT the same company as Mike Bedford Doors! read more

Bedford Overhead Doors - Here's what Google says should be a fair price for spring replacement! $430 less than Bedford Overhead charged us! - Garage Door Services Near Me - Vista, California

I purchased a garage door opener at Home Depot and paid $117 for installation. Bedford Overhead Door was the company Home Depot contracted with for the install. I spoke with Mark from Bedford Overhead Door and scheduled the install. I was given a time window between 8am and 10am. Bedford Overhead Door never showed up so I called and left a message. I have still not received any response from the company regarding their failure to appear for my install. When I contacted Home Depot, the salesman said he would look into it. The salesman called me back about an hour later and said he spoke with Bedford Overhead Door and was told that they found it odd that the installer never showed up for my job. THAT WAS IT. Bedford Overhead Door never thought it would be the decent thing to do to call me back to reschedule or for an explanation. I left another message today. Still no response. read more

Thought my opener broke so I went to home dept, got a new genie motor and installation. Bedford was the contractor. The tech came and saw that actually the spring was broken, and he didn't have any compatible ones on him. Was about to reschedule but was able to work with Lance from the office and the tech went out to get springs from nearby. He came back and got to work. After about an hour, both the new motor and springs were installed. So much quieter than the old opener, almost silent! Great work, and reasonable price. Very professional service and good work. Highly recommended. read more

Great service and price is so reasonable! Called Friday morning for a stuck garage door and got serviced within 2 hours. Job completed in less than an hour. Then tech made sure that all garage door settings and correct. Highly recommended! read more

Deceptive Business Practice I was told by Home Depot that Bedford would send a technician to measure my garage door track before the actual installation occurred. They never did that. Instead, the technician arrived to tell me I needed to buy a track extension, which I did. The technician arrived a second time, then told me I needed to pay an addition $150 service fee. When I explained that I'd already pre-paid the fee to Home Depot, they told me that charge would be refunded. It didn't happen. Instead, they absorbed the money, charging me for the initial visit where no service was performed. So they ended up charging me two service fees for one service. When I called the company to try and correct the situation, they said they'd get back to me. They never did. Deceptive business practice with resulting loss of funds. No way to treat a customer. read more

Lance was totally accommodating! Called on a Monday as I wanted to get new doors as a surprise for the wife and within a week new doors and openers were installed! Consummate professional! Always a quick phone call or email away keeping me totally updated which is very refreshing considering most businesses have lost this very basic but crucial practice. My wife and I are more than pleased Lance! read more

Lance and Bedford Overhead Doors are a must-call for anyone needing a new roll-up door or door repairs. When Lance came to our home, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised by his kind nature, professionalism, and refreshing sense of humor. His work and service are as good as it gets. Sharp guy, great professional. Lance made us feel like we are his only clients. We know this is not the case. Bedford and Lance must be doing something right to also be the preferred vendor for Lowe's and The Home Depot. Great job Lance!! You 'da man! read more

Update on previous report. We got a call from Lance, and he sent a different technician out ASAP and apologized for the inconvenience. Our garage door works great again! Lance and Jose gets two thumbs up today. Thank you Bedford Overhead Doors. Previous report..... We've been waiting since 9am this morning to have a technician come out to repair our garage door , and he was suppose to be out between 9-11...it's now 1:00. No call, no contact. We called and left a message, but no call back. Has anyone else had this same problem or is it just our lucky day?.... read more

Bedford Overhead Door company sent out Scott to install a Chamberlain door opener we bought at Lowes. The ceiling was too low and Scott had to re-adjust the track height.. Scott did an excellent job. Opens very smoothly and quiet. Bedford did it for a fair price. We could not be more happy with the install read more

Lance and Chris are the best! This was the second time in a few years that Bedford has come out for a same-day repair. The first was a fairly straight-forward spring replacement. This repair was much more difficult with the lower panel wheel assembly completely bent backwards. At first it looked like a new garage door was in my future but Chris decided to try repairing the old door first. Let's just say he is a garage door magician in my opinion. I think the panel / wheel assembly is probably stronger than it was when it was new. He even did some extra work to better align the rails so we wouldn't have a problem in the future. Thanks Chris! read more

I used this company a few times the past couple of years and each time I've had a good experience! Lance & his crew are very knowledgeable, friendly and respectful. One thing I love about this company is that they are HONEST and affordable! We used them for not only our home but also rental properties as well. This company has been our go to garage company the past few years. My husband and I highly recommend them to family, friends and anyone else who is looking for these types of services! I cannot thank this company enough for always getting us on the schedule even when it's last minute! This is definitely a company that does everything they can to keep their customers happy! They have definitely earned our business!!!! read more

I had the Lift Master Jack shaft door installed. Worked with Lance to set it up. I originally was going to get the door Wayne Dalton door repaired but after talking to him we agreed to replace the garage door. He did a very professional job and showed up on time. It was a big project probably about 4 hours but it came out excellent. So impressed with the way it came out and the communication along the way. Technician was highly skilled and very pleasant. Highly recommend not only the company but this type of opener. read more

Great Service! Jose came out to install a newly purchased door opener. The door opener from Home Depot was dead, but Jose patiently waited while we ran out and got a new one. We greatly appreciated his patients and hope he was not delayed with the rest of his clients that Day. I will call them back for service or my next home! Thank you Jose! read more

Lance has been doing this for 10 years. As a small business, he needs to be supported because these are definitely not the best of times. Guaranteed you'll feel better about Lance than some of the other larger companies that, honestly, simply can't be trusted. He got things fixed and the springs replaced within a half hour. Support him. read more

Lance came first thing in the morning. Determined the broken spring and stripped overhead trolley. My sectional door is not what I want and the opener is done. I had been looking before the opener failed. (Think harmonic convergence here!?!) He has really nice replacements at great prices. I'm really excited to be upgrading to a really nice door and opener. read more

These are the guys to call for any garage door issues! They came highly recommended by a friend and she was right! They do a great job at a fair price. The first time I called them, Lance came to check on a problem I was having with my garage door remote. He was very nice, knowledgeable and gave me all the options to fix it. I called them again when my vertical track was bent and needed replacement and Lance went out of his way to schedule an appointment for the next day. He was professional, prompt, and replaced the track quickly. Very, very pleased with the friendly service and efficiency of this company!! read more

Our garage door was possessed by gremlins. Bedford performed a tune-up, added a support bracket, and adjusted the close limit switch at a very reasonable price. Kudos to Jose. read more
