Having bedbugs has not been fun. At first we attempted to do our own prep work (and use cut rate exterminators) the result was: stressful, confusing (i.e. how do we put this in a dryer?), and time consuming. Oh, and we still had bed bugs. When we finally wised up and found Boot-a-Pest, John (at Boot-a-Pest) got us in touch with Bobby at Bedbug Rescue, LLC who gave us an estimate to do all the prep work and heating. He and John worked together so you get the prep work and first treatment done simultaneously ensuring maximum effectiveness. Bobby and his team were on time, ready to work, they were friendly, and we could tell that they took care in bagging our things, they also put those bags back where they were so we didn't have to go hunting for items, and nothing was crushed or damaged. Of course Bedbug Rescue, LLC costs more than DIYing it, but honestly-- it was worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. I can say with full confidence that our bedbug situation would not have been as successful if we tried to do it ourselves again. We found bed bugs in the head board of our bed the day our infant twin baby girls turned one week old. In tears, we called Bobby and from the very start he was amazing. He reassured this brand new mama and papa that everything would be ok and fixed ASAP! He kept his word in every way. Bobby and his son came in for an inspection and that very night began to solve the problem. We relocated with our babes to our parents house. While there, Bobby sent us updates and videos of the work going on in our home. After we moved back in, he came back for several inspections to make sure the problem was completely gone. Dogs found bedbugs. Tried to do my own pre-exterminating prep. DUMB! Wasted days doing laundry and finally threw in the towel (literally and figuratively) and called Bobby. I'm far later than I should be writing this review....however coming back almost a year later to write a review should tell you a little about how this service stuck with me... After losing almost everything to bedbugs five years ago you could imagine I have been more "sensitive" than most when it comes to bedbug detection and prevention.... to the point a small pink blemish would send me into a complete tailspin, despite having tracked a mosquito in my apartment for days. It truly was a nightmare, I couldn't understand how something so small (no thicker than a credit card) could possibly lead to my undoing.....that was until I met Bobby, and coincidentally enough, his son, Bobby. Bobby and Bobby also make sure to get you talking about ANYTHING other than bedbugs...they refuse to feed into the paranoia and devastation that a past experience with bedbugs can drum up. If they do happen to find anything, they have clear, concise steps for resolution. You walk away feeling like they don't WANT you to have bedbugs, and regardless of how sweet and charming you are - they hope to not be back - even if it means money out of their pocket! To Bobby and Bobby, the perception of bedbugs is a nuisance, not a life ruiner, and to me that's a huge sigh of relief. Even though having bed bugs was the worst, Bobby and John were the best. They were both so quick to respond and available at all times regarding our issue. They were patient in all of their explanations to my grandmother and so respectful and calming throughout the process. We had done our research and many companies were shadily willing to spray once and take our money instead of understanding the multidisciplinary science of eliminating the pests for good. Their teams were so respectful and that is important when you are in such a vulnerable position trusting strangers to be in your home alone. I honestly can't find the words to describe how wonderful Bobby and his team have been. Finding out we had bed bugs was one of the most stressful things we've had to deal with and Bobby immediately made us feel better. His knowledge of bugs and the prep required was so much better than anything we learned from the exterminator. He came to our place immediately, explained everything that needed to be done and moved his schedule around so he could get our apartment packed up immediately. He put everything in clear, plastic resealable bags organized by room, would not let me lift one finger and answered questions from us for days by email, cell and text. He even came back after a dispute with our exterminator to make sure our couch was bed bug free. He kept us from throwing away a $3,000 couch that these people said was infested! He has the equipment to bake or steam everything saving thousands of dollars in lost furniture or dry cleaning bills. He even went to our nanny's house to help us figure out if that was the source. He works seven days a week and has a way of keeping you calm. This entire process has been an absolute nightmare and we can't imagine having survived it with our sanity had it not been for Bobby. If you find out you have bugs, Bobby should be your first call. He will evaluate your situation, recommend a great exterminator and help you get through the process with as little cost and suffering as possible. We are so grateful to him! read more

Like the other reviews below, working with Bobby was as good an experience and you can get given the unfortunate circumstances of having bed bugs. I was given Bobby's name from a friend who worked with him and he too had great things to say. For me, I suspected I had BBs and my building sent a dog out from their exterminating company and they gave me a clean bill of health, which totally surprised me. Despite this I kept being bit and then found a BB in my apartment. By this time 2 months had lapsed as I was traveling and not in my apartment much. I texted Bobby, he confirmed it as a BB and said he'd be out the next day to kill them with heat while also prepping my apartment for my building to treat it. Since they have to disassemble things, he thoughtfully took photos of how my electronics were hooked up, making it very easy for me to put things back they way they were. From the time I reached back out to Bobby, he did his treatment in 1 day and my building's took 2 days for a total of 3 days - which was amazing. I put my apartment back together this weekend and feel so much better to be bug free! Thank you Bobby! read more
