This company forces you into expensive extended service contracts but if you call for service, the appointments are not timely and then they do not show up and claim that you are not on their schedule. I called for a problem with bee nest on our second floor. I was told that they don't do second floors. I said that you are my exterminating company for over 30 years, what should I do? This company got me sign a $5000 one year service agreement for my 750 ft.² home that had rodents in the basement. As a single mom of three young children, in my own home for the first time ever, in desperation, I signed it, As I didn't have $5000 cash they offered me financing at at an extremely high interest rate. A year later, when my contract ran out but the rodents persisted, they'd offered to renew the 5k contract, thus I would be paying double per month. I declined and set up a few traps inside myself.. four years later I am still paying off the original $5000 monthly installment and have not had any further issues with rodents. As a sidenote, Their regular inspections of the traps throughout the year we're done without notice and thus only the outside could be inspected if I was not home. When I was home at one point, they asked to speak to "the man of the home" and at another point, they only spoke to my boyfriend, who didn't live there. I see a pattern with the assessment, administration, and technicians relationships with female clients that rather than resolve, I'm just not going to do business with them again. read more

Arrow did a pre-buy review of my house. They incorrectly stated we had termite tunnels in basement with no visible treatment. Each of the locations they identified in the basement had holes drilled in the cement and treatment applied within 6" of the tunnels in 2019. It was very clear the Arrow falsified a report in an effort to gain a new client against their competitor. Easy check with current vendor would have closed this. Any visual inspection within 6" of tunnels would have resolved this. But Arrow didn't bother. If in Cumming, Johns Creek, Alpharetta, think twice before signing on with Arrow - in my case they were dishonest. Cost me a house sell. read more

My family has used Arrow Extermination based in Lynbrook, NY, a family owned company for decades, and for many years and we've had wonderful results up until they were bought by Rentokil two years ago. My mother's house has a contract, my step daughter's house has an account and my husband and I have one. Up until two years ago the customer service was excellent as was the services we needed, whether it was bees, rodents or tick granules for our yard. Last Wednesday 7/31/24, I called to make an appointment to have a bee service ( not sure if it's a nest or hive) and the person I spoke to on the phone went over with me TWICE which address ( as I mentioned my family has 3 accounts) and the appointment was made for Friday 8/2/24 between 8am-1pm ( so I took off from work for this service). At 8:52am I get a call from Arrow to confirm my address, which I did and was told the technician was at my stepdaughter's house a half hour away. I said ok, so he's leaving there to come here and was told NO, someone will have to come Monday 8/5 between 8am-1pm!!! Hold on, I took off from work for this, it's an error on YOUR part Arrow, not mine as I confirmed in first call my address TWICE.. what if we were having family over during the weekend and now couldn't because we have bees all over the backyard patio/ pool area/ sitting in the shade area??!! Now my husband took off for the new appointment on Monday in case something else happens.. the tech comes at 11:50am and says please sign and pay first.. since when? Last summer ALL three times I had Arrow come for the tick granules put down in our backyard I paid and signed after.. we've had an account for YEARS.. So my husband asks if the very nice technician call his supervisor, if something can be done for us because of the hassle from Friday and explains what happened to this technician, and said can the tax at least come off the bill and the nice man says sure no problem and walks out to his truck and makes the call.. not even 5 minutes later the technician comes back and says Arrow won't do anything for us! So Arrow won't even own up on their error and help out a long term, multi family account by taking off the tax of $42!!??!! Wow. Just unbelievable.. I'm writing this review because I've looked at past reviews from the last two years of this old family Long Island business that's been known for decades and decades that was sold to a corporation and their accountability and customer service has just gone to pot. If you look people are saying how awful this company has become, and it's just a shame.. no accountability, poor customer service and it's absolutely disgraceful. However, after being taken over by a corporate giant about two years ago, I am now completely fed up with how the company is currently managed with no regard for its customers. They have refused to acknowledge our mouse problem. All they do is refill the poison boxes around the perimeter of our home and pretend not to see mouse droppings and clear signs of mouse activity inside. We have asked multiple times for a different agent to be sent out to see if that makes a difference, but everyone is the same. DO NOT USE IF YOU WANT TO BE RID OF YOUR PROBLEM. I hate giving bad reviews and I've always been objective in doing so but having been a customer of Arrow for around 2 years now, I have mixed experiences withe the different techs that come to our place to find the dead mouse with their set up traps. It's like hit or miss. Sadly today, the tech that came didn't take the time to look for the mice. He just did some scan for around 5-10 mins. and left despite the fact that the stinky smell was evident. He told me if there was a dead mouse there, it will just dissipate on its own. It was not sincere at all nor helpful but I just did not insist and argued about it. Another thing was, he was not respectful asking me first if it's a good place to put his bag with all the traps and stuff. He just put it on my bench which happened to be my yoga area of practice, also for sanitary reasons I have to move his bag elsewhere. As much as I understand everyone has their personalities and also might have their own personal struggles, but you did not just get paid not to care at all or do it half heartedly. Might as well find another job if you don't feel like doing it. I ended up finding 2 dead mice after he left. I wore a mask, protective glass and gloves and have to hold my breathe to remove those 2 decaying mice I could have done myself in the first place without hiring someone if that's the case. It defeats the purpose allocating some savings to hire people doing the job if that's the case. This was the second time it happened. I let them off the hook the first time it happened but I guess my experience would help people figure out if it's even worth it to hire exterminating companies dealing with rodents esp. mice. This might be my last contract with them. It is such an inconvenience for me to take a half day to set an appointment just to be let down and end up doing it myself anyways. To Arrow Company, I also would ask you have your staff wear protective goggles aside from mask and gloves and use better lighting too because I feel like aside from some lazy excuses, your staff might also be discouraged doing their jobs better because of the dust that might get into their eyes esp. dealing with low ceiling areas to set up traps and get rid of the dead mice. So here are some pics I took this morning with 2 dead mice I found and removed myself. And to my disappointment, the one who left the marks last time, with where the traps are, that's where I found the bodies. The guy who came today did not even bother to take a look at all. I did not want to speak for him but that was one of the worst customer service I've dealt with to date. It felt so insincere and unhelpful. Like you can't do that in mere 5-10mins. The 2 stars is for reducing our cricket sightings with their sprays and sticky traps and for their responsive customer reps. Other than that, it def. is something to think about before you hire this company more so sign a yearly 4 seasons contract with them. I am updating this review today. I am really really pissed and could not be more disappointed to realize, there were not only 2 but 3 mice. The smell did not dissipate after I found the 2 dead mice myself and removed these yesterday. I tried to ventilate the basement and eliminate the odor the entire night and apparently, I realized there's another decaying one the reason being. To add up, they left a sticky bait for the crickets and never even bothered to remove it with their previous visits and I just found out today and I had to remove it myself. I reached out to customer service yesterday and was promised they would do much better next time. After I today, I am not even sure if I want to continue using them for my exterminating needs. I used Arrow in my former home in Woodmere. When I moved, the exterminator that had been used was OK, but I always missed Arrow. Once things calmed down, I called Arrow to take care of my new home on the South Shore. They responded quickly, and set up an appointment for the following week. The inspector and technician were courteous, followed CDC guidelines, and knowledgeable. Office staff was also very willing to take the extra step for a customer. Switching over incurred a small expense, the old baiting system had to be removed and a new one installed. You might then ask, why didn't I just renew with the previous vendor? I'll tell you why...Arrow's people are straight shooters...no bull, no sneaky upcharges, etc. When I lived in my old house, I caught an insect and brought it in to their office. I was expecting they would have to come out for additional treatment, as I was only using them for termite prevention. I was pleasantly surprised when the gentleman in the office told me it was nothing to worry about, and if I wanted to pick up something at the local hardware store, it would accomplish the job. We contracted Arrow Exterminating Company for an ant problem. There was an initial visit and a number of follow ups. We told Arrow they needed to contact us in advance when they were planning to come because we keep our backyard gates locked. They never did. They just showed up unannounced and were not able to do what needed to be done behind our house. They always had to come back. We finally completed the contract with all follow up visits. Months later my wife got a call from their technician. He told her he couldn't get into our backyard because our gates were locked. She asked him what he was doing there since we no longer had them contracted for service. He said the office told him to come. I called the office and asked why they were there at all. I was told they take it upon themselves to automatically renew the contract and bill for another full service. Be very careful with these people. Read your contract. They will try to bill you for services you have not authorized. I told the woman that answered the phone if I have not authorized a new service they had no right to even be on my property and they are trespassing. Months later we contacted Arrow for a different problem inside our home. They refused service to us because we did not let them scam us for unauthorized treatments for our initial problem and told them they were wrong for just showing up and trying to bill us without our consent. read more

Called one morning about possible flying squirrels in my attic that had become a nighttime nuisance of noise. Within three hours, Brian came by --assessed the situation, went up into this tiny attic hole in my closet, and discovered that there could possibly be an entire family of squirrels living in my attic. Low and behold, he set traps and the next day caught six. He came back the following day and caught two more. He even discovered where the entrance was. After several months there driver called and claimed he was on the way I informed him I didn't need service anymore and I would call if I did since Then they have entered the basement (they have the code ) and left a bill I had to change the lock so they would not be able to enter and keep leaving. I hired Arrow to make sure that my house didn't receive any vermin from the house being torn down across the street from me. The house has been torn down, and there has been no sightings by me in the last 6 weeks. I haven't heard from Arrow during that time, so I called to find out what the deal was, and to discontinue service. I was told that they only make quarterly visits unless I call and inform them of activity. They also told me the contract was for a year and it was not cancellable. The gentleman that came to my house knew that this was to be a temporary service till the house came down Well, $150 for a single 3 month visit is in my estimation kinda high, especially if I'm the one walking around looking for vermin. Told woman I spoke to I saw no reason to continue service and would like to cancel after this three months is over and was told I can't. So there is deception on their part because I would not have signed anything for a year. Sadly disappointed in the way this company does business. Customer service is sub par and would not hire these people again. My contract says it can be cancelled with written notice, there is no mention of any time reference. Very deceptive business practice in my opinion. Will also report them to the Better Business Bureau for this deception! read more

Was supposed to receive a call approximately 1/2 hour prior to the service of carpenter bees. Luckily my wife was home. When I went down to speak to the tech, he was already gone. Called the office and spoke to Joshua. Told him from previous treatments, that it takes about 1 hour, not the 15 minutes this tech performed. He asked about the problem....explained the process to me. I was having a problem with ants (never had this problem before). As soon as I noticed it I called so I nipped it in the butt early. He showed me where they were coming in and the plan of attack. My concern was pets....he assured it was safe. I haven't seen an ant since they came. So arrow came to do a job years ago. I called them today to come help with a pest issue and was told no. Now back story apparently my mother had a outstanding balance of 200 dollars and missed appointments. Meanwhile we had no one contact us or even show up like they said they had done. So my girlfriend called them back asking to speak to a manager. The Manager was rude, unprofessional, and sounded bothered. We were basically told even though we had offered to pay the bill and put the contract in a different person's name that they would not work with us. Meanwhile my aunt who lives in the apartment below us on the same property uses them and we asked if we could add on the pest control to her contract and they still said no they wouldn't help us. Every time I call them they are extremely prompt in answering my questions and are polite with what they do. Today I spoke to a person named Lucille. She explained that their company will no longer be using a liquid for treating termites. They are now using baiting stations around the house. Since I had no idea what she was talking about she went over the procedure step by step. Still not totally understanding she went over what the technicians will be doing when they come to my house. After speaking with Lucille today I would never ever think of another exterminating company. arrow was fantastic they were on time and very professional. the tech who came was amazing he found our problem and resolved it very neatly. we had a major carpenter ant infestation after some construction was done. the house was close to abandon ship. we had used a different service in the past and was unhappy so we gave them a try last year for a different issue and they were great so for this we figured lets use them again. the staff who take the calls were great and covered all the bases with me so there were no surprises. the prices were very competitive to others and they did not play any games it was all laid out ahead of them. they take all my credit cards so it was easy. no games. i would sugggest anyone with bugs call them and i will suggest them to my friends and family. carpenter ants can really damage your house so i wanted to get a professional in here and not try to deal with a home depot twenty dollar spray. than you arrow very good and im happy my bugs are gone. bob levy read more

Horrible company for pests in your attic. Had a raccoon stuck in my attic and all these guys kept doing was putting down box traps hoping that the critter would get stuck. Never once did they go in the attic. They had no idea how to deal with this. Fired them after 5 days, got. 90% refund and hired a local company who got rid of the pest within 24 hours. read more
