Defective products, and even worse customer service I ordered a desk from Bed Bath and Beyond on January 26, and it didn't arrive until February 18--almost a month later! When it finally showed up, it had a huge crack and was missing assembly holes. Unacceptable. I immediately reached out to customer service for a replacement part, but after wasting another week waiting for a response, their brilliant solution was to ship the entire thing back for a refund or replacement. Are you kidding me?! This is a 52-inch-wide table--how exactly am I supposed to ship it back when I don't even have a trunk? Terrible product. Even worse customer service. And to top it off, I left a one-star review on their website, and they REFUSED to publish it. LOL. Great job keeping your little illusion of quality intact. SAD NEWS FOLKS! This location is on its last days! THEY ARE CLOSING THEIR DOORS. The store is almost bare and they are selling the fixtures. I did find some phone charging lamps for $10 ea ( reg $40 each) but this is the end for this location. Sad to see it go as it was the only location near me. I definitely appreciated the location and size of this BB&B. This location is in a small shopping center that is easily accessible from the highway and offers plenty of parking options. There are other popular stores nearby to check out, including a petco with a Veterinarian. Bed Bath & Beyond is on the upper level, so head there for the uncovered parking area or take the elevator up. Plenty of houseware options, gadgets, personal care items, small furniture etc are in stock. The store was clearly, recently organized for COVID social distancing when shopping. Lots of cashiers and line moved quickly. It is a good option to get some basics and they accept coupons which you can get by signing up on their website. Pretty simple and straightforward. read more

Bed Bath & Beyond has updated their interior concept. At least at this location. The changes are not immediately evident upon entering. The transformation of adding home furnishings and such, shows towards the interior and an even more apparent transformation during checkout. The checkout concept has improved significantly from the uncertainty of where a line starts and which registers are clearly open. They have adopted, need I say, the TJ Maxx open register concept and the snake line...if that's a thing. Whereas, everyone enters into the clearly marked 'Enter Here', then snake through the last minute impulse items taunting you to your left and to your right. The registers are no longer obstructed, and are clearly labeled 1-12 or more. To aid the customer, an announcement in the same TJ Maxx woman's voice, instructs you as to which register is available. This works 10x better than the previous set-up. The Mt. Vernon location to me, now has the edge with this new concept over the Yonkers location. Check it out. read more

This is an average BB&B - it's not my favorite but I can find that I'm looking for more times than not. Nestled in a shopping complex in Mount Vernon along with Target, this BB&B is convenient since it's right off the Hutch and close for those on this side of Westchester and the Bronx. Inventory is fine; let's be real, every BB&B is kind of a hot mess - but in terms of selection it's no better nor worse than others I've been to. Two disadvantages I feel that this BB&B has compared to other locations is that the parking lot isn't the easiest to maneuver - the bottom level is kind of a hot mess but once you go to levels 2 & 3 it gets easier. Also, while they have a Harmon inside this location, I prefer stores where there is a full-service standalone Harmon next door like in Yonkers. I try not to interact with staff so I can't speak much to service, but all in all I've had fine experiences here. read more

Warning. Warning with this particular store I have shopped at bed bath and beyond in four states for over 15 years outfitting colle apartments then post college apartments for two daughters. Never ever in ANY retail situation have I ever experienced what happened to me yesterday at 5 pm and this afternoon at this particular store. Yesterday was my second visit t to a bed bath and beyond, first at this location . Daughter just moved to New York and so I slowly walked spent 1.5 hours approx making my final "Check" of all possible items she wd need. ( going home this week), I then went to check out. A young African American petite 20- something lady started checking me out and was constantly talking w her Hispanic co-worker the entire time. When done my bill was approx $169. They handed me my bags which seemed much skimpier than what I has just bought. I asked them politely if this was all I had. They both replied yes, still talking laughing chatting together I l left. Made one more stop. Went home. When I unpacked I realized I was missing a LOT of items, but I thought I might have left them jn the car . Today I realized no more bags were in the car. So I returned to the store . I spoke with a male manager at 5 pm today. Asking if my bags were not given me. He questioned my actual sales lady who glanced at me negatively muttered something then left the desk area. He then informed me my items had indeed NOT been given to me. And in fact they were all itemized jn his book. The young lady never attempted to run out and find me. ( not hard I am Japanese American and 5'8" in shoes) INSTEAD she RETURNED all mg items immediately to the SHELVES. And NEVER refunded my account!! If I had not returned, I would have just lost all that money -- $90 approx, To TOP all this off. He did not reprimand or correct her. She was surly . AND NO ONE APOL OGIZED! . Incredible. Best store for home shopping. Always an array of items to choose from. Most of the time you'll find what you're looking for. My favorite departments are their bedding, linen and kitchen areas. I can't forget the bath section. Recently purchased rug sets for my bath. read more

The set up on this location does not include a customer service desk or register. I found this to be a bit perplexing when returning an item. In order to exchange or return an item one must stand on the checkout line and wait for the next available cashier. All cashiers are able to conduct customer services. In hindsight found this to be pretty effective and a smart business model. The store itself is packed with merchandise and the layout is very cohesive. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. It is organized and all items advertised for sale were available for purchase. read more

Driving to this particular location is a real S Show with traffic backed up and turning into the parking lot from 2 directions. I checked the items I wanted online before venturing to the store, and the site said they were available for pick up when I arrived. The items I needed were standard kitchen items = 9" cake pans. When I arrived at the store after a nightmare drive, they had no 9" cake pans whatsoever, although I had been advised they would be there. The people at the help desk could care less and were borderline snippy. They also did not have 3 other basic items I thought I could use so my drive would not be wasted. Everything was out of stock!! BUT my drive was not wasted after all as I found everything I needed at Target downstairs. Wondering how they could keep well stocked when BBB could not. A decent place to shop for mostly kitchen items and bedding if you don't mind the prices. Their 'furniture' items are costly, but they are cheap chipwood and flimsy. Some of their storage items are also cheap looking as well as their electric fans, and power cord items. Like I said, best for kitchen and bedding. Never shopped for 'bath' items here, but they seem to be decent. In addition, I wouldn't trust drinking coffee from that coffee machine. I've been here many times, and there is never anyone in this area. It looks like it's barely used, so it's probably not cleaned well when it is used. Restroom is very clean and well kept. On the employees: The stocky Caucasian female employee with short curly hair seems to be a little stressed though... not a pleasant demeanor. I also don't care for the lack of variety in ethnicity...which seems to be on going thing at these retail stores (which I will continue to point out in my reviews, as I review everything from the store itself, to the workers). Mostly people of color only and not much else. That's not equality. Other than that... the store is clean, but too many cheap items that are not worth the cost. read more

This is the only store of its kind in a 5 mile radius. I only come here if I have coupons, but their policies are great! Their return policy is amazing. For example, unfortunately I had to return a bullet, twice within a year and it was an easy exchange with or without receipt. It's really easy to track an exchange when using a card. I never have issues exchanging or returning because I think they know the products they sell aren't the best. If is find a product price is cheap they will price match with jus proof from my cellphone. It's a little difficult to find help on the sales floor, and the lines can be long. Overral the staff is friendly and helpful when they are around. There is also enough parking and it's uaully clean. Before leaving this place, always check out what goodies may be in the clearance section. Many items are gently used and tested for over 50% off if you're lucky! You can thank me later. read more

I came here to create my registry with my fiancé and we had a fun time doing it. An employee helped us and explained everything we had to do. She gave us a scanner and let us move about the store and scan items we will need to live a happy life together. They had dyson vacuums. I was pretty happy to add that to my list of stuff to have when I get married. We also picked out spatulas and some other bed bath and beyond related items. The store was clean, calm, and inviting. I've been shopping here for a few years now and love the selection of items at all of the bb&b locations. There is always something new I'm discovering that I would never think they would stock, such as Himalayan salt lamps! If I have a hard time finding an item it can be a bit of a chore to track down an associate though. Cashiers are usually friendly, at least the ones I have come across. And I think their return policy is pretty good, although I've only had to return two times in the years that I've been coming here. Also, the ability to use multiple coupons, expired or not, in one transaction is a huge plus. read more

The service here is slower than molasses. Sorry for the cliche but it's true. Today, I waited in line for 15 minutes at customer service while the people working the registers performed their duties as if a video was being played back in slo-mo.
