They always have really good sales, I just got 2 pairs of $98 jeans for less than $16. Just wait for sales and use coupons and you will be ok. I used to do all my shopping online because the closest store was in NJ but now that one a Torrid store is open in the Bronx I will be shopping there more often. This store can't close, there's lots of "Plus Size" stores out there but this sell plus size clothing that is fun for young plus size women, I might not be "young" in years but in my heart I am and I love their style as long I know what I can pull off at my age. I just learn that shopping at Torrid online and sending the package to be picked up at the store is more economical than having it delivered at home, Torrid don't have a set shipping rate and I saved $32 in shipping which I spend in 2 items in the store that wasn't available online. I have always loved shopping at Torrid and I am excited they have a store in the Bronx, it would have been preferable if it would have been in the city but traveling all the way to Bay Plaza wasn't so bad.

Review: 09/13/25…read more Parked in JC Penny's parking lot at Baychester Mall, thought it was the polite thing to do was to make a purchase being that parking was free. A great sale was going on, and I needed to get new bed pillows. The sale was too good of a deal to pass up. Just as i thought i had made the ultimate score. Realized the check out lines were a mile long. The houseware section is on the third floor. The extra, mile long check out line, turned out to be returns. No check outs on the entire third floor. Took the escalator done to the second floor, walked around, no check out lines on the second floor. Getting a bit frustrated, I just want to pay and leave. First floor has to be a charm. As we got off the escalator, there is one check out line, which was long. However they had three cashiers. Met a nice lady, had a cool chat about why we no longer like shopping in stores, and prefer online. This ordeal of having to hunt for a cashier was enough JC Penny to last me a lifetime. Fresh styles and colors at amazingly cheap prices. It's only once you take something home that you realize (again, just like a real pretty girl), cheap means cheap. I've had things literally fall apart the first time I put them on. Like, got a shirt home, put it on, and the little decorative beads on it just started popping off. Within about half an hour, there were no beads left. And this is where the ultimate scam comes in. There are no changing rooms in the store, yet the return policy is exchange only. No credit. No cash back. So basically if you see something you like, you can't try it on to confirm. So if you take a chance and buy it, then realize it looks awful on you once you're home, you're screwed. After having this happen with about $20 of merch, I made a new rule: unless I am 100% sure I am a fan of what I'm buying, I don't buy it. Even the slightest hesitancy means I'm not getting it. And if it's more than ten bucks, forget it.
