My Guest Experience Specialist was wonderful. Her name was Erin, if I was rating this based on my…read moreexperience with her I would give 5 stars. Thank you, Erin for being the ONLY good thing about Bob's furniture. I was really hoping Bob's furniture would be better than Ashley's but it looks like they all are going to fall short. If Bob's does anything right, it would be giving the ONE good thing they have a raise and allowing her to replace her managers. Erin assisted me with picking a bed and bedroom furniture set. Due to technical issues with the order site, she sought support from her store manager. Nice Guy, but he didn't listen to what I wanted and ordered the wrong items. This was after I spent 2 hours with Erin filling her in on my issues with Ashley Furniture and my desperate need for furniture ASAP. My items arrived (most of them) on time. I had my new bed which is great, but with the box spring the store manager ordered caused the bed sit so high that my 5'8" tall body had to jump up to get into the bed. I wanted the low profile box spring so that it was lower to the ground like a bed should be. What if this bed was for a kid or an elderly individual? You would need a chair lift to get into that bed. Next, my 5 piece bedroom set was delivered as a 4 piece. Little did I know, Mr. Store Manager ordered the wrong one. So, now my husband has no dresser for the foreseeable future. Because of course, now the piece is out of stock and on back order unlike last weekend when I worked with Erin, because she confirmed all of the items I wanted were in stock due to my need. I called Erin to get the issue resolved and she graciously reached out twice letting me know her manager on duty Jessica would be calling. She even called to tell me she was going to call in 5 minutes. Guess what?! I never received the call from Jessica. Thanks for the help, Jessica. Appreciate your attention to detail - it must be a manager thing in that store. So, I had to spend my day todaytalking to a text chat bots Wildeline and Mildred and a customer care agent Adyen for 2 hours to get the issue resolved. I am now getting the box spring I wanted and when the chest dresser becomes available (hopefully before 2027), my husband will finally have his dresser. They waived the delivery fee (as they should) and gave me a $100 off. So shout out to Adyen for spending over an hour on the phone and putting me on hold 5 times to get permission to do the right thing. Oh, I forgot to mention, that all this happened after I had already ordered a sectional couch and ottoman from them for $2000 and the ottoman broke after 2 days for NO REASON. So, call me a "Karen" if you want but if my attention to detail and listening skills were as piss poor as the management in the Joliet store or as dependable as the chatbots Wildeline and Mildred at resolving ANY TYPE OF ISSUE, I wouldn't have been able to pay over $6000 on furniture in 4 different deliveries due to 3 different mishaps caused by Bob's furniture for furniture that probably has the durability of what is left of my patience. The only reason I am giving this store 3 stars is because Erin my Guest Experience Specialist was amazing, empathetic, and supportive. Jumping off my soap box now. Happy Shopping.

The warehouse would not accept it because they told me I needed paperwork from the store to return it. It's been a back-and-forth issue. I'm a senior citizen and now my time has ran out and I'm stuck with something that I can't use nor do I want and they won't take it back and I've called all around and no one has properly accommodated me and they told me that I have to keep it when I wanna return something that I have no use for and have a credit back to my account. It's not been used still in the box so who wants this kind of treatment no one deserves it so definitely I wouldn't recommend it. No one should have to go through this and be stuck with something that they don't want and can't use.

My first thought when I walked through their front doors? "Man, you can land a plane in here!"…read more Funny thing is, it's true! Sure, it'd have to be a small plane, but this place is so big that you're bound to find *something* in here that interests you, even if you're not there to buy anything specific. I usually am, though. Being something of an artist myself, I am always looking for the most inexpensive places to buy my materials since the term "starving artist" really tends to ring true, especially these days. Over the years, I've come to find that Hobby Lobby almost always has the best prices around (and if you watch their weekly ads, 50% off regular prices are an added bonus). In a store as large as this one, I'm almost guaranteed to be able to find what I'm looking for, too. I can't speak for all crafters or artists, but for my drawing/painting needs, Hobby Lobby is always the first place I go...and thankfully, since they normally have what I need in stock, it's the last place, too.

Briefly visited his Hobby Lobby store and it was kind of exciting because I haven't been in one of…read morethese stores in years. The store feature tons of art and crafts! I was looking to hand make gifts for a birthday idea with my wife and this place had a great deal of most stuff some of the items like hats and caps are cheaply made so be careful washing it. Tons of great ideas if you're into putting pictures throughout your entire house and there is an endless amount of decor no matter what time of the season because it could be Halloween and Christmas inside at all times. Staff here was pretty friendly, the store is located in a busy strip mall with many things going on so be wary of traffic. Overall the store was pretty modern and has a lot of eye-catching things. Overall I thought was a decent story to check out and visit.

We all know furniture shopping is hard. But Tom P. at VCF was FANTASTIC! He listened to what our…read morewants and needs were, what our budget was, and went over all of our options with us. He honestly spent HOURS with my boyfriend and I crunching numbers and checking inventory to see when we could get our couches delivered. He was patient when we told him we wanted to leave and get lunch and go over our options. We checked out a few other furniture stores but NONE offered the exceptional customer service that Tom gave us, so of course that's why we went back to VCF. Specifically for Tom. He made the process so easy and simple for us. So we got our sofa home and realized we screwed up. The couches we ordered wouldn't fit in my living room. We over estimated our space. I gave Tom a call and he immediately started going over options with me. He told me I could return it if I liked, but also went over other pieces in the collection we could swap out for. He didn't make me feel bad at all for buying without measuring space. And let me reiterate how patient he was with us throughout the whole experience (and I can be pretty indecisive). We have an entire house to fill, and Tom is gonna be our go to guy to fill our home with the perfect pieces. If you're in the market for any type of furniture, it's definitely a great idea to go see Tom!

I am truly disappointed in my experiences with the Value City in Joliet, IL. We went into the store…read moreback in February looking for new couches for our living room. We ended up finding a sectional and a recliner we liked, and it just so happened to be on sale, so win-win, right? We were helped by Elyse, who came across as very friendly, trustworthy, and knowledgeable - or so we thought. Here are some of the issues we encountered. I originally wasn't going to write a review, but I wanted others to be warned. 1. Sectional (floor model) - When we bought the sectional, it was the last one, so we were taking the floor model. We were told it would be wrapped up either that same day or the following morning. A few days later, my parents went in because they too were looking for new couches, and they noticed the sectional we purchased (and were promised would be wrapped) was still on the floor. Not a huge deal, but definitely annoying. 2. Pickup/delivery issue - When we agreed to pick up the sectional, Elyse mentioned we could wait until the recliner (which had to be ordered) came in. That way, we could pick them both up at once and avoid the $200 delivery fee or needing to make two trips, to which we agreed. Then we got a call from Elyse saying they could no longer hold the sectional until the recliner arrived because she hadn't gotten approval from her manager and they needed space in the warehouse. I reminded her we didn't really need the recliner, it was just a nice-to-have and if it meant paying $200 for delivery or making two trips, we'd rather cancel it and just pick up the sectional. Once they heard we wouldn't be buying the recliner under those terms, suddenly it was "ok" to hold the sectional until the recliner arrived. Another annoyance - why call us with a problem, only to backtrack when you realize it might cost you the sale? 3. Financing problem - We went with their financing because it had 12 months of interest-free payments. Not that we needed the full year, but it was nice. Elyse, without being asked, put in 24 months "just to see if it would go through." We NEVER requested this. When the first bill came from the credit card company, I noticed a little over $100 was charged as a "promotional fee." No one had mentioned this, and it was charged without my authorization. I disputed it twice with the bank, but was told I signed the receipt agreeing and acknowledging it. I was shocked, if I had known about the fee, I never would have done their financing, since we didn't even need it, so why would I pay extra money if I didn't need to. I called Value City to clarify and asked if the fee applied to both 12 and 24 month financing. I was told it only applied to the 24 months. That's where I got even more frustrated - because again, we never asked for the 24 months. Elyse apologized and told me I'd have to go through the bank for a refund. I explained I already tried and was redirected back to them. She spoke with her manager and called me back, offering $100 off a future $2,000 purchase if I came into the store. At the time, I was very pregnant and not going anywhere, but more importantly, why should I have to spend another $2,000 just to fix something their salesperson did without my consent? I told her I didn't need new furniture right now and that I was due any day. She spoke with her manager again and said whenever we're ready to buy, to ask for him and he'd "take care of us." I asked what that meant and requested it in writing because all trust was broken at this point. She said she'd check with her manager and get back to me. Well, it's going on two months and I never heard back nor received anything in writing. I will never shop at this location again. They are not trustworthy. I understand I should never blindly trust salespeople and should have read the very small fine print on the receipt, but this isn't about $100, it's about the principle. Their salesperson made changes we didn't ask for, and they failed to take accountability or make it right. I just wanted to warn people before shopping here.
