After a couple of fires, it's been rebuilt on the original footprint, steel cables replacing the ropes that used to raise or lower the cars. At the top you have a beautiful views & can actually see three states, Illinois, Wisconsin & Iowa. When it first opened to the public it was five cents a ride. When we visited, it was $4.00 a person & cash only. A very unique ride, one that should not be missed.

The saleswoman I was placed with was very cold and made the comment "You probably won't find your dress here" after showing her pics of what I liked within 5 minutes of being there. Throughout the appointment she was putting a big emphasis on certain things that may or may not fit me (I am considered "plus size" in many places) with a negative tone. She also made the comment that the dress I had tried on was about 10 sizes too small for me. I felt very judged and had to hold back tears at one point. I know what I look like, but I felt very defeated leaving the appointment. Their sizes on the floor did not feel as inclusive as I have seen most other places. Overall pretty disappointed I drove an hour to feel judged and the opposite of how a bride should feel when trying on dresses, no matter their size/shape.

Today they picked up the snowblower at 10:30 a.m. and had it repaired and delivered back to my home by 12:30 p.m. Wow, what great service!
