    I've been a customer at WECU for over a decade and have had the best service and the lowest fees…read more Best aspects: very kind and friendly tellers and managers; excellent rates for my mortgage and HELOC; fabulous online banking, including the ability to pay my mortgage online, free transfers to other banks, free bill pay, and an easy interface; the first chipped visa card I could get in the U.S.; phone-based deposits of checks; no holds on any check I've deposited. One reviewer said WECU only allows six online transfers per month. This is false. They allow six, which is dictated by federal law. Another reviewer complained that it's hard to deposit a check received at the end of the week due to their hours. But you can download their free app and deposit the check via your phone. A reviewer said the only way to transfer funds to other banks is by wire. False. I transfer money to and from my other online banks, free, regularly. One reviewer complained that WECU's appraiser gave a low value to their house for a refi. Appraisers are independent contractors, so this isn't on WECU. I have had nothing but excellent service from WECU, including when I've had complaints. Every single time I've voiced a concern a representative from upper management has called me at home to discuss my concerns, and every single time my requests have been met. I feel that WECU takes its commitment to treat its customers well very seriously.

She demonstrated exceptional knowledge, patience, and a friendly demeanor. The issue was resolved efficiently, and we are pleased with the branch visit. Highly recommended.     Went in to update permanent resident status with I-551 stamp and immigrant visa which serve as…read moreevidence of permanent residency until the physical green card is produced (90-120 days). They wouldn't accept this documentation despite it being a List A document. Showed evidence from USCIS that this document proves status, but Nav and Cassidy insisted it couldn't be done. To make matters worse, Cassidy was unprofessional, cold, and insisted we sign the W8 Ben form which declares that we are non residents and had the old, incorrect address on it. We clearly explained that we are residents and would be misrepresenting ourselves to sign the W8 stating otherwise. She threatened to close the account if we did not sign it, stating that is the only way they can add a SSN to the account as the I-551 does not prove PR status. It is upsetting to be threatened and forced to sign a form that we know to be false. I spoke to the Bank of America customer service online to file a complaint and to make it known and documented that we had been threatened with account closure by not signing this form. The online representative noted this interaction for our protection. Nav Hunjan was friendly and tried to help, ultimately saying he would escalate this to Tyler to get the status updated. I do hope Tyler can make this simple account update happen for us
