I'm sure that I am a handful as this is my first time running a business and I have so many requests, but they are always patient and kind. I highly recommend this bank and this branch! Thanks so much guys!

Buyer beware! We put a good sum of money in a 7 month CD. We were advised we had a 10 day grace…read moreperiod at the end of the term to adjust funds or change our investment. The interest rate would be changed at that time to the new market value. We received the form letter reminding us of this and letting us know when our term matured. We chose not to make any changes figuring a competitive market rate would still be offered. I happened to check yesterday. The 4-5 month CD is at 4.88%. Our now 6 month CD is at .15%! Yes! Almost nothing and less than our savings accounts making 1.24%. We did not receive any notice that a change this extreme was in the works. We are closing out the CD today and reinvesting. This is not a reflection on the Barkley staff, but rather on the management of the bank and their lack of communication to support their customers in making vital decisions to protect their well being.

Over the years the Hannegan branch of Bank of the Pacific has helped me with many home loans, and I have been more than very happy with their service. After I switched a couple of accounts to the Bank of the Pacific from a local credit union, I was really impressed. When I come into the bank they greet you by name, kinda like an episode of Cheers. The manager brought in an espresso machine and has been very friendly when I visit. The tellers are super friendly, and it is simply a pleasure to do business at the Bank of the Pacific. As far as home loans go, there have been several occasions where other credit unions would not give me a loan and Bank of the Pacific came through for me. Their customer service team is awesome. After opening an account I needed some help getting the business account configured correctly for payroll with quickbooks and they helped me out. Christy can help you with a home loan, Carley will help you open an account, or deposit a check and Glenn the manager will help you with a coffee. I even received an electronic birthday card from Bank of the Pacific on my birthday. If you are one of those who is frustrated with the big local credit union, then you should give Bank of the Pacific a look.

I got a great rate when I switched to them, and any time I've needed to make any changes, they always jump right on it, and help me cheerfully. If I have to make my payment late, they are really accommodating then too. Emma is amazing, and super helpful and easy to work with. Diamond has been doing a lot of the more clerical things on my account for the past couple of years, and she is also very sweet and easy to work with. I brought my boyfriend in last summer to switch his insurance, and he was positively amazed by the better insurance he got with State Farm than what he'd had for years with his former carrier. I've only ever personally had any negative experiences with one employee at Joe Treat, and it was a couple of years ago. I have not dealt with her again, and I don't think she is still working there. If she is, they have stuck to their word about not making me work with her again. I used to be friendly with a former employee who had a lot of nightmare "behind the scenes" experiences with another current rep. My experiences with that rep have always been positive, but the things I heard were pretty bad, so I am always wary of that when I do deal with her. Adding everything up, I highly recommend Joe Treat's State Farm. In particular, I recommend Emma as your agent. I don't know if Diamond is an agent, but if she is, I would recommend her too. They are both lovely and do/provide everything you could hope for from an insurance agent.
