Becky definitely has great hair and bites. . . . . . I came in this past weekend to try some treats. Most of the food is bite size and perfect for a snack or for what I would figure are events. The cream cheese is hard to explain. It isn't too heavy or overwhelming. The sweet ones seem almost whipped and churned in with the sweeter ingredients. Most bagel shops I feel serve you globby cannoli or chocolate flavored cream cheese in heaps but the texture is just different. The bites - They have mini cookie sandwiches with cream cheese in the middle, chocolate covered bon bon truffle like things with cream cheese, little tarts. Hold on - wait for it - snack packs that resemble your favorite kid snacks like dunkaroos. But these are with teddy grahams! They come with the Beckaroos (cake batter), peanut butter jelly time, smores and chill, salty side, pb&j pretzel dip, gingerbread cookie, and dirt cups. We went with the traditional Beckaroos and the funfetti dip and were not disappointed. Bagels can also be ordered with their many flavors of cream cheese. They are on the small side but they also come loaded with tons of cream cheese, so honestly, I find the size kind of perfect. The loaded lox spread apparently sells out super fast and you should be on top of it and get there early as they make it fresh every day and its a store favorite. I went with the bacon, egg, and cheese and honestly its one of the best flavored cream cheeses I've had in my life (especially for a bacon cream cheese). It's not too overwhelming, slightly sweet with a hint of ketchup but so savory and fluffy and has chunks of egg whipped into it. I want to come back and try everything - especially peanut butter and the seasonal pumpkin, to name a few. There's not really any seating inside as it's just a cute little shop, but take your bagel to go or go sit out in Tompkin's Square Park. read more

This review is for an order placed via seamless for pickup. If you order via seamless you can get $7 off your first order (first order placed with the store, not first order on seamless!). I was looking for bite sized desserts for an office birthday celebration and Becky's came up in search. We ordered a total of 30 quarter-sized bites which cost $27 (it would have been $34 without the seamless promo). I think that's a great deal considering these sell 3 for $3.50. They also have other treats like mini bagels with assorted cream cheese and dunkaroos for sale. Bite sized treats are available in 12 flavors. We opted for: the fruit and apple tart, cookies and cream bite, cappuccino bite, red velvet and funfetti cookiewich. I came first thing in the morning and they had my stuff all packed and ready to go! The shop is small, cozy, clean, and seats about 4 people comfortably. The best thing is you can dessert hop if you wanted to..Becky's, Big Gay Icecream, and mochii are all within walking distance! I have to add that their packaging is on point. They put cardboard separators to fit all your tarts in a single box and tape one down at the top of your desserts so that they're less likely to move around. You would think it's a no brainer but not every venue does this. One thing I agree with are past reviews about needing to be more eco friendly. For larger orders, they could use bigger baking cups to fit multiple bites or ask customers if they have a preference. THE VERDICT: We ate these during the end of a staff meeting but it took so much effort not to eat them beforehand because the bites give off a strong, lovely smell that reminds me of graham crackers. The cappuccino bites and funfetti cookiewich were office favorites. Folks said the cappuccino bite has a great aftertaste and preferred it over the cookies and cream bite. I felt that the other flavors were underwhelming. I couldn't taste much flavor in the red velvet cookiewich or in the fruit tart I tried. I was excited to try out this place purely based on star rating, but was a bit let down. Might've just been because it was early in the morning, but I had trouble figuring out what was available for purchase. After some help from the employee, ended up ordering a dozen cookie bites to go. The box is very cute and each bite has an individual liner. The cookie bites are quite small, smaller than the size of a quarter, closer to a nickel. Unfortunately, I wasn't sure what to make of them. Not quite sweet and the texture was a bit mushy; plus the bite was too small and muted to get a reading on which flavor I was eating. The cold brew iced coffee was decent, albeit a bit pricey. Maybe its complexity is just beyond me, but the cookie bites are a pass for me. Becky's Bites is my favorite place to get desserts or snacks in the city! I really love their snack packs (especially the Beckaroo funfetti flavor) and think it's such a cool idea, similar to the dunkaroos we had as kids. Their original cheesecake bites are also super delicious and there's a variety of flavors so that everyone can find a kind they like. They also have a variety of other desserts like mini pies and mini cookie sandwiches filled with their cream cheese spreads. I also really like that the cream cheese they use in their products is fresh and local AND that their products are handmade, so I know that I'm getting great quality food. Almost every time I was there, I was actually served by the founders, Becky and Richard, who were very friendly and told us their story and how they created their products. You can really tell that they care about the desserts and snacks they're making, which is rare. To top it off, their prices are inexpensive, especially for fresh and carefully made products. At first I was a little intimidated to walk into Becky's bites with it's shiny exterior and large grand opening sign. But my friend was running late to dinner so it was worth my time. Sounds dumb but I could not really identify what was for sale. When it read that this was a cream cheese place I thought this was the kind of place where you could by cream cheese in bulk. My friends have been raving about this spot, so I've been meaning to stop by for a while. Needless to say, this place lives up to the hype. The food was amazing and staff was incredibly friendly. They walked us through the menu, and we ended up getting a mix of things. For those with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend the Beckaroos and S'mores and Chill. For those who prefer savory, the Bagel Lights are the way to go - and the Bacon, Egg & Cheese spread really hits the spot. But really, you can't go wrong here. Everything is delicious. This place was exactly the pick-me-up I needed. After randomly being asked to leave by the racist manager of St. Mark's Comics (I'm new to New York and didn't realized they thought it was 1950) I took a walk to cool off. I decided to check this place out and as soon as I walk in, "HELLO SIR! WELCOME!" "WELCOME!!!" When I looked at their menu, "Is this your first time here?" I said yes and asked what they recommended. They both said the Beckaroos and recommended their specialty flavor: A: "It's so good it's always sold out!" B: "It's sold out right now" A: "Oh no!" B: "Don't worry, I'll make more!" Me: Blown away by the service. It's been a rough week and it was like for five minutes I just stepped into heaven. And their entire store is based on specialty cream cheeses. The "frosting" for the Beckaroos (Dunkaroos) is the PERFECT blend of cream cheese and sweetness. I'm not something that likes super intense frosting, and making this out of cream cheese is brilliant. Very cute cream cheese shop. It's super small and there's not really anywhere to stand if a few group are inside at the same time. Their menu revolves around cream cheese. They offer both savory and sweets but the sweets are the shining stars. There was only one girl working when we stopped by for some pre dinner snacks. She was very friendly and explained the menu in great detail. We ended up getting the s'mores Dipper which included graham crackers and a marshmallow/chocolate chip cream cheese dip. She also gave us a Becky's bite which was a cream cheese ball dipped in chocolate. It's almost like a truffle. Our dessert snack was so good and pretty filling. I found this place randomly while on my way to a different bakery but the sign outside announcing that they had their own version of Dunk-a-roos sold me on it. The shop is small so you definitely should take your treats to go but it's quaint and the staff is very friendly. They have a wide variety of offerings but I was there for the Dunk-a-roos. It was delicious and they definitely did a great job replicating it, although it wasn't exactly the same as the 90s one since this is made with cream cheese, not frosting. At first I thought it was a bagel shop as I saw some bagel sticks on the counter and a large variety of flavored cream cheeses on the menu board. The girls inside motioned for me to come in and try a sample of chocolate cream cheese and some chocolate teddy bear cookies. Excellent on both! Made a few purchases and chewed the fat with the owner and her sister-in-law for a little. Very nice down to earth people. I really hope they do well. From what I tasted, I think they will. Would it be cliche to say it was love at first bite...because that's what it felt like. Their strawberry cream cheese reminded my of my days as a kid having a bagel with cream cheese and jelly, but now I can get that taste all rolled into one. Jaclyn brought Becky's Bites delicious cream cheeses with bagels for the office breakfast and everyone absolutely loved them! My personal favorite was the veggie flavor due to smooth texture and freshness of the veggies - it just felt like it was bursting with vitamins. Bacon/egg flavor was an amazing surprise that nobody ever tasted before and seemed to cause few people to develop an addiction to it already, so they are coming back for more. My wife and I stumbled across Becky's Bites about a week ago, we have gone everyday since. I recently found out that you can cater from there, so naturally I ordered some treats for my office. My wife is partial to the funfetti birthday cake cream cheese, I prefer the cappuccino spread. Tough decisions.... Yesterday I brought back a few chocolate bites for my father, he loved them and did not share any with us...he said if you want more "go back yourself." The staff knows me by my first name now, it's nice to walk into a friendly environment in NYC - you don't get that at Starbucks. As a long time area resident, I'm a bit confused as to why this place is getting so much hype. They say it's 'Cream Cheese Re-imagined,' but it seems to me like they spent a little time in one of the EV's very popular local bagel shops and then 're-imagined,' a way to sell some of said shops popular cream cheese flavors in much tinier portions for about the same price. First off Becky couldn't be a nicer person! She was in there working hard which is hard to come by these days. And the food was amazing. I've been there several times now and each and every time I try something new. I'm always pleasantly surprised. I even tried the vegan options since I am trying to cut out dairy when I can and I absolutely loved it!! as someone who has tried a lot of vegan cream cheeses I could not believe how good this one was! The chocolate bites were my favorite (especially the strawberry, cappuccino, and peanut butter). Another thing is the COFFEE! I would go here every day just for the coffee!!!
