Recently had new carpeting installed and needed to have our table re-centered to the room and leveled. Called Beck's to schedule service a few days in advance; they quoted $175, I thought this was kind of high but I figured I would have professionals do this. They called me 2 days in advance to confirm a 2 hour window which was great. Unfortunately, I was called into work and was not able to work out of home that day. I called Beck's 24 hours in advance to cancel and the young man I spoke to proceeded to scold me for not given more notice. I apologized and said that I did not expect to be called out for work. He then informed me that they had now lost the opportunity to fill that time slot for another appointment. I apologized again told him that I would just call another company and "thanks for understanding". It worked out for the best though. I purchased furniture sliders for $14 and used a couple of my levels to balance the table. Saved me a lot of money. It's not 100% perfect but pretty darn close. Had friends over this weekend we played for a few hours and didn't notice anything off balance. If we every need service again...I'll still be calling a different company. If this young man had just said hey, sorry to hear that your canceling, when can I reschedule? You would have had my business now and in the future. Not only we're they prompt and arrived in the time window they gave us, they called us 30 minutes prior to arriving as a courtesy. Easily the best billiards company in Phoenix. They really know their stuff, and they are excellent at installation. Reasonable price for our table purchase and install. We set a date and time. They were early, efficient and courteous. They gave me some options on colors I did not know were possible and the table looks great. I have dealt with other billiard companies in the past and I've always felt a little greasy when it was over. I either felt like I got ripped off or oversold. These guys were just the opposite. Absolutely fantastic experience. Jesse and Emilio showed up promptly at 9:00, disassembled the pool table, with great care, and were ready to move it within 40 minutes! Once they got to my home, it took about an hour to re-assemble. Poor guys had to put it on the second floor (Sorry!) There is a charge for delivery to a second floor, and I totally understood and was happy to pay it. Total time, with a 20 minute travel time between 2 locations, was 2 hours. Maybe the person who answered my phone call woke up on the wrong side of the bed in the morning but this individual I spoke with was short and rude with me, would not answer any of my questions, refused to give simple price quotes. Started corresponding with Jason Beck via email on 1/4/20 about selling our pool table to this company. After emailing back and forth on the 4th and 5th about the table and what price we were hoping for I got no further response from Jason. So I followed up on the 7th to see if there was any interest. The response was simply that they would not be interested. I replied to see if there was a particular price that they would be interested in. The reply I received noted the most they could pay would be $200-300 for our table. I asked if they would purchase for $250. Jason's reply on 1/9 was yes, as long as it's in good condition and it had accessories that they could pick it up Mon - Fri the following week. I responded on 1/9 with a long list of accessories that they could have and my availability for the next week. No reply. I emailed on the 10th to follow up and give some location info in case that determined the timing. No reply. My final email was on the 15th to see if there was still any interest. No reply. I obviously won't be selling my table to this company and I won't be recommending them to anyone either. read more

I agree with Chi H. who wrote on 3/19/14. .....the only difference being that I hired them based on a bunch of you others who gave them 5 stars....WTF. The guy was pretty gruff on the phone when I talked to him; my wife was there to receive the table, and said the installer was a really rude grouch, who had zero personality and nothing to offer other than to set up the table. Clearly hates his job, and life in general. Oh well, our table is now home, and level......there are so many good options and life is too short to put up with that crap. I'm a couple of weeks late in getting to this review, but don't want to miss giving Jason Beck the great review he deserves. We recently bought a barely-used Olhausen table from him and are 100% happy. We saw the table we wanted on his website; he met us on time at his shop to see the table, did the deal in about 15 minutes. he threw in lots of extras, like better quality balls and multiple cues. Had to move my pool table when we replaced carpet during a remodel. Called several places, Becks was cheapest. The movers were very professional, even brought their own blankets so they wouldn't ruin carpet with tool boxes and walking. Jesse was helpful & knowledgeable on the phone when we called about buying a used pool table. When we went to the shop on N Cave Creek Jason, the owner, was patient & extremely informative. He explained to us how they inspect all the used tables they buy & replace the bumpers & felt to order. Our purchase included everything you need to play a game - 4 cues, bridge, triangle, balls, chalk & storage rack. He even gave us directions to lunch.
